    I used to buy Lean Cuisine, but they have become nasty and inedible. I will eat most anything, but bleeeech! I don't even eat frozen vegetable anymore - Mushy tasteless things.
    To be honest, I like to cook and do not like overly processed foods. I don't trust them anymore. Even the prepared sauces I buy have to have very few ingredients.
    I've turned into the health food nut that used to annoy me.

    I do have Olympian labs vanilla pea Protein in the cabinet that I like a lot and I used to use hemp Protein Powder. Time to get to buying on vitacost again.
    I agree that juicing greens/veggies is best . I ate a raw vegan diet for 4 months and learned a lot. I even did a 12 day juice fast. (Couldn't last longer than that). I could never juice straight up greens though, and all the recipes that tasted best had fruits to balance the flavor. I did a lot of green smoothies too, and boy do they keep you regular!

    I was 8 pounds shy of being eligible. Ankle weights and flare legged jeans did the trick. Also I slumped a little when getting my height measured because the shorter you are the less you have to weigh and one inch makes a difference lol

    Good question Fishy....and for me the answer is yes. We are very into wine collecting. Many friends own wineries and we spend a lot of time learning about their craft. We enjoy it a lot. It has nothing to do with getting drunk, nor do we drink it with Breakfast lunch and dinner (every day LOL) but it's an enjoyable part of our life that we share with friends.
    If I could never have a drink of wine again I would live. But I enjoy it and would just assume keep it as a part of my life.
    I do not enjoy drinking heavily at a party til I can't stand...that kind of thing belongs to youth I guess But responsible drinking isn't a bad thing in my mind...as long as you are at least three days past surgery (KIDDING!!!!)
    I should mention. I had this surgery verses the bypass because it allowed me to live a more normal life, and being able to drink was one of the factors. I wasn't willing to leave the whole cellar to my dh lol

    Egg beaters are quick and easy to make for Breakfast. I add some chopped up chicken to mine, plus some chopped bell peppers and maybe mushrooms for a little omelette. They will also cook in a bowl in the microwave.
    I also want to add, if you add chia seeds to your Protein shakes and let them sit and gel for 30 minutes or so they get a lot thicker and are much more filling. The shake will keep you satisfied much longer. Not to mention it helps tremendously with regularity issues.

    I keep seeing what I think is a Vitamix at costco. I shy away from food displays becuase of samples (always have, not a sleeve issue) so I haven't gotten close enough to look. I am going there today for my cooked shrimp, maybe I'll stop and look at them. Vitamix's do look intriguing and i know that many people love them.

    It's been brewing in my mind for a while but I've got a lot more research to do. I want to get me a vitamix blender and start making some green shakes, but my wife won't allocate any kitchen counter space to me....she has it all.

    I eat as many as 70-80 on some days, but my calorie total is 1500 and my Protein total is around 150. You can adjust yours accordingly. But when lowering carbs, please differentiate between good carbs and bad. You can eat all the low glycemic carbs you want. They are typically very filling and low in calories so you are not going to overeat on them. High glycemic carbs are the exact opposite. They are high in calories, low in nutrients, they increase food cravings and help promote a fat storing environment by raising insulin levels. I would worry more about those, and less about the total number of carbs. You can google any food to see what the glycemic index is.

    Don't just base your caloric intake on what everyone else is doing. You also need to factor in how much you are exercising. For a normal, non-sleeved person our bodies need about 1200 calories a day just to perform its daily basic functions. At eight months out I was averaging around 1100 calories a day. I was working out at a gym daily and not losing anything. My fiancé, who is a personal trainer and nutritionist insisted I wasn't giving my body enough fuel and upped my calories to 1450 per day. I was mortified, but agreed to give it a shot. Sure enough, he was right and I started losing every week again.

    personally I think that that is perfect. I actually ate 1200-1400 a day after 3 months for weight loss. I maintain at about 1800-2000

    To be honest...I am just reading this...and my mother should not have had me. I am glad to be alive, but my childhood was a hot mess and fortunately my DNA has survivor instincts. I might be pregnant right now. I am not sure I am ready to be a mom. I am 50/50 with it. Days I want a baby...days I don't. Not sure if that is a great way to bring a child into this world, but it was unexpected so I am not really sure what I feel...but abortion saves lives. I think it is wrong to bring a child into this world when you can not take care of a child. I think that outweighs the decision to abort. I was dead for 19 years of my life and it took about 8 to bring me back to life. If you are not ready to have a baby...then don't have it. Adoption, abortion, whatever you decide to do it is your right.
