(((hugs))) I agree, you will be fine! you have realized you are using your pregnancy as an excuse. Just start eating healthier again. Talk to you OB about your weight, is he concerned?

You will be ok, 18lbs isn't much. Perhaps you should sit down and have a heart to heart with your boyfriend and let him know the struggles you are having and that you need his help. I would also suggest that you find a local support group. I think you will be okay if you get it under control now. Good luck and congratulations.

xavtay2 reacted to Sassafras in I knew it would happen, but I wasn't expecting this! I might be bald soon!
I too was expecting Hair loss but shocked by the volume!! Thankfully my hair is long dark and thick so it isn't showing YET. The funny thing is that my hair getting thinner doesn't bother me (small price to pay for going from a size 18 to a 10/12 in 4 months ha ha), its just annoying, gross, and messy! I have hair tumbleweeds blowing around my house the day after I swept! I clean out my brush, take a shower, lose clumps and clumps of hair in the shower, get out and brush it and my brush is almost FULL! Then I blow dry and when I am done my brush is overfulling and I am standing in a pile of hair that is the equivalent of what's in my brush. It truly is insane! I have started wearing a hair net when I'm cooking and my hubby still finds a long hair or 2 in almost everything...gross! He also says he finds them wrapped around his "parts" all the time (hee hee). I don't mind the loss I just mind the annoyance of it lol Okay...my rant is complete! Its still soooo totally worth it! I would have shaved my head bald if someone told me I could look this good in just 4 months

I am 3 months out and I am now starting to shed quite a bit. I have noticed it thinning but I was told by my Dr. it would ease up soon and start to grow back. Just keep getting that Protein you will be fine!!

That doesn't sound like too much. It sounds like normal portion. I didn't eat that little before surgery -1 egg for breakfast? But now I do. I eat a scrambled egg w chz or boiled egg for bfast. A little cottage chz a few hrs later. For lunch tuna/ chicken about 1/4 c Mabye a couple crackers and 1/2 cup or less for dinner. My problem is I do not drink enough. I know the weight would come off faster of I drank plus I'm impatient but I'm glad I can eat a somewhat " normal" portion just gotta be patient. Good luck;)

Maybe the pressure of the jeans caused a pinch of a hernia, I'd check for lumps and go see your Dr.

I had my surgery on August 22nd, so I am a little over 4 months post op. This summer at 5'3 my consultation weight in July was 231 lbs and I am now 155 lbs - putting me down 76 pounds! YAY!
I try to post monthly and this time when I was coming up with a picture to post I was just looking at pictures of my boyfriend and I from the summer. I think about how I felt this summer in pictures (insecure and uncomfortable) and how I feel now (confident and energetic) and I'm just very grateful. I've really appreciated his support throughout this process and looking at the pictures just made me feel grateful that I've had such a great support system, not just in him but in my entire family and my friends. I feel like it has helped me immensely. This surgery has just showed me that I really am lucky to have such great people in my life!
I hope everyone had a great holiday! I always enjoy seeing people's pictures, so I will post some below!
Picture 1: Sister's graduation party in July
Picture 2: Friend's wedding in July
    Picture 3: Christmas Eve Party
Picture 4: Christmas Morning! (No way would I have ever let him pick me up like that over the summer lol!)

Tomorrow will be 2 months. I have never been so happy with my decision to have sleeve surgery. My sleeve is a tool and I'm dedicated to my life changes by going to the gym (cardio and strength) and eating clean. I truly believe 2013 will be my year. I'm starting to find myself again.

I LOVED and still love looking at people's pictures before and after surgery. This is the first side by side I've done and though I still have a ways to go it shows progress and I feel so excited to be able to see the difference in the photo. The left is one month after surgery and the one on the right is today, two months after surgery.

xavtay2 reacted to Fiddleman in Today is the day to empty my closet
I got up in the wee hours of the morning and decided today is the day to clean out all my "big" clothing. There were over 200 2x and 3x dress shirts and casual long sleeve shirts, 50+ tshirts, 2 suits, 8 dress pants, 2 robes, 5 swimming suits and 5 jeans. And the closet was still 80% full with my wife's clothes. anyone who lives with a women knows what i am talking about. Lol.
I was a little sad to see some go, but overall, it is part of the transformation process. I am planning to donate them to value village or good will, but then got to thinking that there are some good quality clothes here. Maybe they can be sold at a consignment store. Does anyone know of a place near Seattle that will buy used big men's clothing? Not all of it is fashionable nor brand name, but at least 70% of it is.
Regardless, I still have 10-15 more lbs to lose plus some more body toning so today is not going to be the day to buy a closet full of clothing. I will still buy enough daily, fancy and workout clothing from value village for a little bit longer until I reach goal.
