Put in for FMLA, and take a break come back after the birth.. You have to much on you right now. Don't let this one event stop you. Just take off for a while he can't stop that you need a break.

CMS213, I have been making these for a while and they froze good for me. I even made them today but I use a large muffin tin. I am further out and found one alone is enough for me but my daughter eats one and a salad an garlic toast. My non post op family loves them also

hihi!! im 12 wks and have lost 18 lbs since finding out I was prego. I have extreme morning sickness but eat as much as possible when not sick. I just hit 167 with a 86lb loss from surgery in feb. 1st time in my life I am actually TRYING to gain weight. its bizarre. im told by drs that the baby will be fine and will take everything from you and that we (as in moms to be) are the ones who will suffer. with all this knowledge I am still nervous. let's keep each other informed!! good luck with your pregnancy's!!!

Congratulations Tabbmarsha!!! From what I've read on here and the advice of my ob/gyn you should be just fine. The pregnancy will probably be healthier for you since you are down 92lbs (congrats!!!). Remember a growing fetus needs nutrition, but not all the extra craziness some pregnant women indulge in....lol!! At 17 months post-op your timing is great too according my surgeon, he told me I had to wait at least 12 months before hubby and i could start trying. (I can't wait to start trying)

And when the baby is born stay focused on the goals you set for you. I lost my way a little. I wish I would have realized before to focus more on what I needed and the baby too.

I am so happy to see this post because for the last 3 to 4 weeks I have been craving and eating nothing but sweets almost daily. I was 266 then 254 on surgery date 3/5/12 today I am 209. I thought maybe I was unconsciously messing up my progress. This is the smallest i have been in 19 years and i still have a ways to go. i will not allow myself to destroy what i have worked so hard for. I think I am going to go back to my south beach diet plan that my doctor had me do pre surgery. That way i can kick the cravings. Its just so good to know I am not aloe. I love this website :0)

Thanks....I am excited at least when I heard there was a problem I already had a plan in place. I'm 33 and the reason I decided on the sleeve was because I wanted to fix the problems before they started.

tabbymonroe, when i first had my surgery 3 years ago, I hit a stall that drove me crazy! I had been losing so great, then boom at exactly one year i stalled for 7 MONTHS. . . it was crazy! no weight loss, no weight gain. . .I had really thought this was it! then one day it just moved, I lost another 10 - 15 lbs and that was it, BUT i did reach my goal the doctor had put out for me plus 12 lbs more, so that is what I call success. . . now at 3+ years out I'm still the same weight and am maintaining beautifully. . .I don't worry about anything anymore. . .I finally love myself and accept myself for who I am. . . good luck, it'll happen for you too. .

I was just cleared on Wednesday for Water exercises and strength training/toning. I'm looking at LA Fitness, but, have to see what my insurance covers. The YMCA is covered, so we'll see. I'm still losing weight, glad about that and haven't had a stall. I'm so glad I had the surgery, because I didn't realize how bad I was feeling physically. Didn't have to use my walker when I went to my last appointment, just my cane!!! Didn't get out of breath, didn't need to sit and rest, just moved right along!! I also live and work in the North Buffalo area. Now I have to make time to fit in a structured exercise program! BTW, I had Dr. Hoffman also. Good to hear from neighbors:)

I talked with the bariatrics team. Almost everyone loses in a stair step pattern. People lose a bit and then are flat or may be up a few pounds. But over time the weight will come off. I feel so much better that even if it slows I still think that it is worth it. Keep your spirits up and do well!

At one month I was about 22 pounds. At 7 weeks I struggle and can't get 500 and I don't struggle with it, I let it go. Make sure your carbs are 40 or less a day, drink your Water, keep working it and it will go. I have no clue how much you lost pre-op, I have no clue how much weight you had to lose in the first place.
Have you ever lost 22 pounds in a month before? Really? Are you including the weight you lost pre-op to this?
I lost 10 pounds a month pre-op during the 6 month pre-approval phase. In the 2 week pre-op shake I lost a whopping 10 pounds only, where I saw others lose 20 pounds in the two weeks). I exercised daily before etc.
I am losing slower than others but I lost weight pre-op.
It will come in waves. Your weight loss needs to catch up to your body. Pay less attention to the scale, and more attention to doing what you are suppose to be doing and the weight will come off you. When you lose fat, there are open spaces, and your body has to readjust and it can't do both at once, so maybe you need to measure yourself and when you feel like you aren't losing measure yourself.
Do you feel better at -22 than you did before surgery.
Stop telling yourself this isn't going to work, because if you tell yourself that one too many times, you are going to start self-sabotaging yourself. One day you will say, this isn't working for me, I'm a failure and then that is EXACTLY how people find themselves eating donuts, bags of chips, eating Ice Cream. The more you tell yourself you can't or it's not going to work, the more you will believe it and give up and that's how real failure begins.
I know how it feels, especially when I see others losing faster, but it's not a race. I had it in my head I would hit 199 by a certain date and I didn't hit it. I was very disappointed. I even hopped on the scale one day and I was up a pound and wanted to throw the scale. I hit the 199 today, 2 days later. I hit it though.
Start seeing the positive in the 22 and know as long as you do what you are suppose to do, you will lose weight.
