  1. I just order healthier things off the menu & take home my leftovers for another meal or two OR my husband eats my leftovers...
  2. Between the vitamins & walking it does help with the energy... It takes time, but when you start to lose, it does come off fast. Just follow ALL the drs, orders... Get your fluids & protein in & WALK, WALK, WALK.... Can't stress that enough! Good luck & don't be discouraged.
  3. I am 10 months out & I eat 5-6 times a day... 3 meals & 2 or 3 snacks... You just have to watch what you eat & always eat proteins first. Drink a lot of fluids (especially water). And walk, walk, walk...
  4. Stalls happen... I had a 4 week stall! Just up your fluid intake & exercise a little more... I do a little extra walking or get on my exercise bike a little longer. I'm 10&1/2 months out!
  5. LOL!!! I also have wings, saggy boobs & saggy ass syndrome...
  6. I was lucky & didn't have a drain...
  7. Mac & cheese is out! Scrambled eggs, sugar free pudding, cottage cheese, sugar free apple sauce, cream of chicken soup, yogurt, mashed beans, egg salad... Good luck. If you want your sleeve to work, you will follow your Dr & dietitians orders... If you make a protein shake, put it in a blender with ice... Makes them taste soooo much better. I do the Body Fortress powder with ice & water in the blender. Delicious! And you can add sugar free pudding mix to it for added flavor. Try different combinations. Experiment, just don't go back to your old foods, remember that's what got us in trouble the first time. Good luck.
  8. We all have stalls...when that happens, I up my water intake & start walking a little more than normal. You can do it! Good luck!
  9. I would love to ride in a hot air balloon, blimp & helicopter! And... swim with the manatees & dolphins!
  10. You have done a great job! Keep up the good work!
  11. I have had to learn to put my fork down between bites & I cut my food up into smaller bites...
  12. Have you tried broth? or protein powder mixed in blender with ice & lactose free milk or water?
  13. Walking will be the best thing for your after surgery gas... WALK, WALK, WALK!!! Good luck to all!
  14. You can add some sugar free pudding mix to the shakes to add different flavor to the protein shakes. Only a little at a time though, as it will make it too thick, if you add to much. Gives you a variety... Always put in the blender with ice, it helps big time & mixes the protein better.Good luck P.S. I use lactose free milk now...
  15. I eat bread occasionally, but it's toasted whole wheat or multi-grain... Fried foods are out! I don't miss that at all. The thought of fried foods makes me nauseous @ 10 months out & I'm happy about that! I don't want to go back to my old ways! Good luck.
  16. I usually don't chime in on affairs of the heart, but years ago a wise man told me to "Do what makes ME happy". I was married to a drinking, cheating man...we separated & I almost went back with him. I stopped & thought about me for once! I did NOT go back with him. I thank GOD every day for those words of advice! We divorced, I married another & have been happy ever since! My ex remarried & continued to cheat on his new wife. He is divorced again & I'm still married (32 years now)! I truly hope you find happiness... Just remember to think about yourself first.
  17. LOL!!! I actually have a bony butt now!!! My husband calls me sticks...
  18. To make cleaning the crock pot easier, I spray it with Pam before adding food!
  19. I had this surgery so I will be around to see my granddaughter grow up. Not to impress anyone, just to be healthy. In our 50's it's hard to "just" diet it off. This sleeve is the tool I needed to help drop the weight & a second chance to live my life right. Not going to stretch the sleeve like I did my old stomach!
  20. I make a turkey meatloaf too... Delicious!
  21. I waited a few months before having popcorn... But I can eat it now. I love it too!
  22. Mine stopped after I was able to eat soft foods (not liquids)... Liquid in, liquid out!
  23. Just over 9 months ago I started @ 250 lbs...I'm now 7 lbs away from my goal weight of 150. I'm wearing a size 10 jeans & a size medium top.It IS a great feeling to be able to buy regular size clothes! Way to go to all of the losers on here & Good luck to the soon to be losers! And my husband calls me "Sticks"...LOL!!!
  24. Try walking... That helps me.
