  1. I Know everyone is different and some fortunate ones were walking 5miles 3 days out. I had that high hope but alas I'm 5d post op, got the child off to school, started a load of laundry, ate 1/2 my Protein Soup, and now need a catnap before I walk my court 3x. Realistically, how long should I expect no getup and go? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. Hey raven! Mine was so bad they sent me home with sublingual zophran I take before eating or meds. I'm now 4d post op and been sipping unjury chicken Soup and egg drop soup with no issues. I bet yours was the anesthetic too! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. Obviously I am not going to be the person who is doing a 5k a week out but I did finally keep some injury chicken broth down, took a walk and piddled in the kitchen and for me - now I am exhausted! No matter the person, our recovery will vary so remember to keep your sights on what your recovery is not what it is not! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  4. Looks like I had a terrible rx to the anesthetic the first 40 hours but now I keep down some broth, Protein tea, and Tylenol w codeine. It's hard sharing room with people who eat real food. Makes me nauseous again. Heading home in a few hours! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. Well I am alive! Although there were several times in the night I screamed in my head but it back, put my stomach back! I threw up since I came out of surgery for over 24 hrs after. They think I had a reaction to the pain med. The swallow was ok although that came back up too. It's now been 37 hours out and no cath, sipping 30ml per hr, walked, and some minor pain only. 6. Feeling the same thoughts! Here's what I came down to - it took several years to come to this decision, multiple hoops that kept changing and when everything came together its was just about a month and everything was done! When its the door to go through it will open wide!! We are walking through today!!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  7. Heading there myself! 630 am Showtime - prayers with everyone today!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  8. I have been completely stressed out about this surgery and here it is the night before and I am do calm. I took lots of pics (when did I get this size?!), measurements (lets just say ridiculously large), packed, drank that hideous preop stuff early this morning, found some more Proteins to try at whole foods with just stevia, have everything ready to home home to and set my phone alarm 4x to get out of the bed and get moving!!! Just ready to make it happen!! Good luck to all those going on the 14th!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  9. At Cosco I saw natures bounty complete Protein powder. 2scoops=15g protein and amino acids and the b Vitamins. Anyone tried it? I'm trying to stay away from the sucrulose and other artificial sweetners so it's been tough to find powders. Open to suggestions! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  10. Starting next birthday you could find a 5k to run in honor of your mom. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  11. The dr plans to have me on nexium for 2 months. Jimmy did the dr put you in anything for the reflux? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  12. Note it was the Lapband! I had a military dr I just flat would not let toug me because if his cavilar attitude. I was instinctively right to do so - all of his Lapbanda have been revised. He put them in upside down or wrong!

  15. I know I'm not the only one nervous here but bare with me, I need to get a few thoughts out. Monday is the day. I rationalize it, I explain it but this really comes down to I can no longer lose this weight by myself. I am powerless (step 1) - I have been so powerless I screwed up my metabolism so terribly it basically laughs at me when I want to lose weight now. I know I am making the right decision for my body but.... There is risk in every surgery. I am just so scared I maybe making a really selfish decision and not end up waking up from this surgery. I would leave my 6 yo, who it took 7 years to get pregnant with, alone. This is one time in my life I don't want to be the stand out and have Murphy's law find me. Please pray for me and against these crazy thoughts. I know God is a God of peace but sometimes the longest distance is from your head to your heart....I've been praying for each one of you who posts. We are all embarking on brand new lives in so many ways.

  17. I'm scheduled at ft Carson in the springs for may 14! Love to connect with you guys.
  18. Coming soon! Me toooooo
  19. You would not recognize Carson at all today! The have taken on more than 50k new troops just since we've been in the springs 8 years. New housing and med family centers, new commissary, expanded px - crazy how large it now is!
  20. I would suggest neither if they are gluten (aka wheat flour!) gluten and Dairy keep mucous in your body and in the healing stages you want that mucous out!
