  2. So when I had such terrible pain 2. Wks ago they did a ct and found an umbilical hernia, which I did not have before surgery. I'm guessing it happened because they didnt give me my tummy binder for over a week. Anyways - I'm 4 wks out and still not able to really eat anything- liquid or otherwise. I hover at 150-200cal a day. Research tells me some have problems getting anything down because of the hernia. Anyone else having similar issues? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. A stricture is the tightening of your esophagus at the place it goes into your tummy. The dr puts a tube down your throat and slowly expands it back out. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  4. Call the dr! Even of its gas, better safe than sorry because it could be a stricture. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  5. Ct shows nothing wrong. Just giving me pain meds sending me home. Calling dr on tues because this is not just a pulled muscle. Sent from my iPhone using VST

  8. For the last 4 days my back right side has been hurting. It started as a little twings and now hurts when I breathe. I've never had a kidney stone before, gallbladder and appendix are out. I took a stool softness this am but no results yet. What concerns that it may be related to the sleeve is I haven't wanted to eat anything. It just makes me feel nauseous to eat. I'm now 13d post op still been on liquids. Ideas?? Sent from my iPhone using VST

  10. I have had the strangest muscle pain, on my right side just above my hip towards the back, the last 2 days and not able to eat much. Anyone know if we can take flexeril now? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  11. Try unjury unflavored. I add it to my hot tea all the time. Just pay attention to the Water temp rule and no clumps or taste! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  12. At my wound check today I try to explain to the nurse my stomach is swollen differently then from surgery and it hurts at the top of my bellybetton. He asks me why aren't I wearing my binder? My what? The stomach binder you received upon discharge to hold your stomach in while it healed. 1st I've heard of it!! Makes a HUGE difference in support! If you don't have one - go get a pregancy belly band or a back support belt from waltmart. Justake sure if covers the entire stomach area. Mine is just below the bust to just at the hips. So not only did the neglect to discharge me with any nexium but forgot the binder too! Such is the life...but I'm down 20lbs in 8 days! Sent from my iPhone using VST

  15. Hit send too soon! Gluten gave me IBS symptoms for 20yrs and I had no idea it was the glyten doing it until my daughter was diagnosed with celiac and we all went gf. My symptoms cleared up completely. Now with that said - I too am now having this "got to go now" issue since the sleeve 7d ago. It's neon yellow and "oh my" smell. It makes sense it's bile in the digestive system but I had my gbladder out 3 years ago and dont remember having this issue. I also now keep an emergency kit in my trunk - pad, panties, and pants just in case! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  16. Have you introduced gluten back into your diet? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  17. Thanks for the ideas! I had my hubby look at it, who's an emt. He did suggestion if it got any harder to call the dr. I go for a wound check in the morning anyway. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  18. Because we are gluten free I wouldn't suggest any wheat products but also because the wheat is a processed filler of carbs. When you do want bread or crackers again go to gluten free which uses almond flour, potato flour, etc which have more Protein and less carbs. Skip the wheat! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  19. Are you using that inhaler modulator thingy they gave you after surgery and told you to use 10x an hr? It prevents pneumonia and chest tightness. Dig it out. I found a few days after post op I needed it again as well. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  20. I've found warm is better because it does not cause my stomach to spasm or get the hiccups. I had warm tea with some
  21. I never had any bloating after surgery but today I feel it and the tummy feels warm to me. And a little hard by the bellybutton incision. Normal? Figured out my pain meds are giving me insomina too! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  22. I was the 14th too. I haven't needed pain meds really since I've been home but pretty tired. Just glad the vomiting stopped finally. The nurses said not more than 10ml an hr - how on earth are we supposed to get in all the liquids and Proteins at that rate? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  23. I have never been a big dreamer at night but since the surgery they are non stop and very vivid about real life scenarios. Anyone else experiencing this? Sent from my iPhone using VST
