  1. Sounds very frustrating to say the least! Just breathe and take one step at a time. My surgeon and nutritionist told me in the very beginnning that I would be tested for HP and showed me what it looked like if someone had it. Its important that they know because it could interfere with healing afterward. My surgeon told me that HP is one of the things he will be looking for during my endoscopy tomorrow morning. If I have it, he said it's 2 weeks of antibiotics and 2 weeks after they test again to make sure the antibiotics took care of it. I've noticed a lot of people never had this test prior to being sleeved, perhaps it's a newer criteria? I hope you can get everything taken care of and your test for HP comes back negative, I understand your frustration, June 4th isn't too far away.
  2. Welcome to the forum! Your story gives us pre oppers lots of encouragement!

  13. I hear a lot of the sleeve veteran's say not to look at foods as you'll never eat them again. It'll just be awhile and in much smaller portions. Good luck on your liquid diet, your in the home stretch now!
  14. Is it safe to assume that he will order additional tests such as a stress test? It seems as though I hear of other pre sleevers having to have additional tests per the cardiologists request. I am hoping that It'll be another appointment to check off my to do list, not add to it! I'm so close to having everything done and I am getting pretty darn happy about that!
  15. I didn't realize this either but it's exactly as my nutritionist described it.
  16. I am soooo excited for you! I can't wait to hear an update!
  17. I may be wrong but I think it depends on your insurance and what your surgeon requires. My insurance didn't require a 6 month wait for a supervised diet but The list consists of 2 support groups, seminar, pre op class, blood work, upper GI x-ray, 1 visit with the Nutritionist, psych eval, cardiologist visit, pulmonologist visit, gastroenterologist visit, and an Endoscopy. I believe that will be all unless one of the Dr.'s orders more tests. Keep your eye on the prize and hopefully the time will fly by!
  18. Congratulations! Do you have a date picked for the surgery yet?
