  2. I cant give up my morning coffee just yet...ugh!! its going to be so hard. Maybe I will try to do the half caf rather than cold turkey. (i'm up and out of bed by 4:30. at work by 6). And yes, trying to work on sipping...I'm a chugger also!

  5. Everything said here is very true! I myself, do not have too much to lose...(from what other people tell me). I think I do. I'm 5' tall and am 180 pounds. I have been working in EMS for 14 yrs, and let me tell you, I see first hand what being over weight can do to a person!!!! Its not pretty. Be sure to get your facts, make a list, then make your decision! Hope all works out for you. Any questions, we are all here for you! Good luck!

I just started my presurgery diet today,(i am 3 weeks pre) and these are my Drs instuctions; Take a Multivitamin with a mineral supplement cut out all Snacks. walk 20 minutes twice a day or 30-45 minutes once per day Substtute breakfast with one Protein shake per day. Eat a light lunch and a light dinner.No snacking day or night. I take the chewable Centrum Vitamins. When is your surg date? I can give you my diet instructions for the 2 week pre-op if youd like
  8. You know the ols saying, you can pick your friends...not your family????? Well, I finally told my (very thin) sister i was having the sleeve done. And she says point blank-"you will still be fat. your always chunky". Very motivating, huh? This is why I normally steer clear of her!!!

    God Bless! You will be ok. We are all here for each other! My day is quickly approaching! (May 7th). Please keep us updated. And from what i'm reading, keep walking, walking, and more walking! Get that gas out. And remember to stay ahead of the pain (if you have any. I'm a big wuss! lol) oh, and dont forget to have your shakes and such ready for when you get home! Take care!

  13. WOW!!! You guys are doing very well! my surg. isnt until May 5. I am an EMT who works 12 hour days, and I took 6 weeks off. I do alot of heavy lifting all day long. I hope I can get back a little sooner!!

  15. I started my pre-op diet this week. My NUT has me on a 5 week pre-op, slowly coming off of carbs, caffine, and sugars, for 2 weeks. Third week start 1 protein shake for breakfast, then last 2 weeks are shakes for breakfast and lunch. I too work 12 hour shifts.....but so far so good!! Good luck!

  19. Hello everyone! My surgery is also set for May 7th! Im so very excited! im sure I'm driving my husband and my daughter nuts talking about it all of the time! lol...Im 5' tall and need to lose about 75 lbs. I am a breast cancer survivor, and need to get my life back! I CANT WAIT!!!!
