  1. That is great. I am very happy for you. I think i would also find it depressing not being able to eat so much..but you are right that is the point. 144 sounds like a great weight. I am 207. So not being able to drink with food..how does that work? Do u eat first and drink slowly later?
  2. Sleeve4me...how r u liking it? How much weight have u lost.?
  3. Thank you for replying. Was she able to maintain her weight all these years?
  4. This surgery is pretty new..gastric sleeve has only been around for about six yrs...so how are these folks doing now? Would love to hear from people that are oldies with the surgery.

  7. Yes...the very first step was too get a one on one with him. He told me all about the 3 surgery options..he gave me info and websites to find more info..then i scheduled a second appt with him and my husband...now are the exams to confirm i am a candidate dor the surgery. I have already visited my pcp and she has signed off on the surgery. She is ok with it and she did a cbc (cell blood count) and an ekg to monitor my heart.
  8. I have an appt to go over the biopsy repot in a week..hopefully by that time i will have my psych and nutritionist appt so i can schedule the surgery. I am getting excited about it.

  10. I went in at seven am...they prepared me and took me in at 930. I was out by 1030 from the hospital. The actual procedure only took about 15 minutes. The doctor went over with me the results right away.
  11. Just got done with endoscopy...it was a piece of cake. The iv hurt the most. They put me out completely for the procedure. I came out good. I had a hernia, which he will fix. I typed in "gastric sleeve" on you tube and a bunch of testimonials come out. My favorite are by user "gastricsleevereview"
  12. I sure will. Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post.
  13. So when i was 19..i got lipo..and i guess i did not take care of myself because after my children i gained weight. The issue was that i gained it all in mu butt and legs...i cant seem to figure out if that was a good thing or not. I am 5' 4" and 207. I am so tired of being fat. I have a pool i haven't even been in because i do not feel comfy in a bathing suit. I have finally decided to get this done. I am doing my pre surgery tests..but soooo scared. I am wondering weather i want to go to the extreme of cutting my stomach. I have a very demanding job and requires lots of energy. How long will it be that i am wthout energy? I have seen tons of yuou tube videos abd have heard pretty much very positive things about this surgery. My doctor told me he would recommend this one vs the lap band or gastric bypass if it were his family members getting the surgery.
  14. Oh okay..so are you able to see what the doctors are doing. About thirty minutes till i get there.
  15. Good luck..i am hearind depression after surgery? I hope that is only temp.
  16. Good luck...on my journey also...i still have to see the psychologist...egc tomorrow
