Kat you crack me up, but I am laughing feeling the same way, I carried my weight all around but my belly is just sagging, my arms are toning, my legs. I don't want to be a size 3 ... but... I am technically single... love dbf but what if???? how can I give myself to someone else if I don't like me? I am only 36 and want to look "normal" I would be happy with a flatter belly and 175! I just bought my first boy shorts bottoms, but they are crapy material and I can't find good ones in black to match the tankini top I have. I never thought in a million years I would even wear a pr.! Well stuck home, car is in the shop and it looks like it is going to storm out. It is so stinking hot here. What to do?

Terry - first... they say empty calories for the alcohol and your pouch is so small that 1 shot you can be completely wasted and caffine is a stimulant that triggers hunger and other things.. Obviously with the coffee it is blah blah blah to me, I am down to 2 cups a day but trust me... you don't want to be around my cranky butt when I don't have at least 1! As for the other surgery, I guess that is what I'm getting to know. Is there a difference between a tuck and lipo? I don't want lipo, I don't want them to suck the fat out of me... just pull me back together. So... If they are the same thing - i will not be doing it. but it is something that has always bothered me and I am interested in getting info on. I too know someone who had lipo and they screwed something up and she couldn't stand straight, and it didn't help pull the skin back, so that is pointless to me. I am willing to work my butt off -

Ok i'm really leaving for the gym... but the funniest thing happened... I was just sitting here reading away and my phone rang. Someone for a job I applied for. So I have an interview tomorrow morning but here is the funny thing. I can't find where I applied. I remember the address because location is important to me, but can't find it anywhere. So it is going to be a surprise where I'm going. I might drive by later to see what type of place it is so I know how to dress. LOL I am applying for all kinds of crazy jobs so some are casual and some are management.

Kat That was great info, thanks. I never thought of lipo. I thought a tuck would fix all that. So info I need to start looking into. I am in the same place as you. I was 165 right before my daughter and in a size 10 and med everything esle, and I had a flat tummy and was so very happy with myself. right now, I am wearing clothes before my son, and the legs are even loose on me, it is my belly that pokes out and makes me crazy. My goal is 175, then I figure with the tuck that is another 10lbs and a flat belly! LOL November would be great. LOL but no way that would every happen. I lose health ins in January and hopefully will be starting a new job in the fall so time off is something to think about too - so that is why i'm thinking now. Tracyk - great feeling. my mechanic did the same thing yesterday.... ok i dated him years ago, he is much younger than I am. felt great. My contractor did the same thing, he may know about my surgery but I'm not sure, I'm good friends with him and his wife and she knows. I'm having a cup of coffee, feeling guilty, went to support group last night and it was a full house, and they stressed to all the people thinking about surgery that no coffee, no soda, no alcohol for a year... ok I stopped them all but the coffee, i'm a bear without it.

Don't get discouraged.... 53lbs in 3 months 1 week! NOT TOO BAD!!!!! As my Dr. would put it... that averages out to 4lbs a week.!!!!:clap2:

Aleve & Advil: DO NOT try this at home!!!!
Terry you are so funny, I'm cracking up. I can totally see you doing that. I was going to take an excedrine the other day for my horrible headach, that is the only thing that touches them.... so glad I didn't.

Kat - wow, go you! getting ready for the tuck! so that kind of shocked me only because I didn't realize that is a long process too. So at what point did you find someone to do the surgery? Did you look into it in the beginning? at your 1/2 way point? I am going to continue to work my butt off, but I know I'm going to need the tuck. I want a flat belly and after a c-section... there is almost no way that is going to happen and I am more than my 1/2 way point. sorry for all the questions, just something I will be doing and would like to be there next spring... I'm on a mission

Sorry, I had more company show up as I was typing Terry - I wanted to say I'm so glad things worked out for you this weekend. I know that doesn't make everything perfect, but glad you had a great weekend. Tracyks - wow you worked hard and should take credit for that. Work tomorrow will be relaxing LOL I hope everyone is having a great night. I have 2 days left before I go back tot he pizza shop full time this week, so i'm going to bake in the sun and relax.

TracyK we posted at the same time. I got my fill on Tuesday and he told me I should be eating solids after 48hrs. it has been 5 days and had a turkey burger and in 2 sittings and it was much harder than before, that was one of the first things I started eating after surgery.

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Hey all - I just got in from a day in the sun.. ok not much sun which was ok because then I didn't miss laying in it, but I swam all day and did about 40 mins of water aerobics while in there on top of swimming with the kids and friends. I actually ate 1/2 turkey burger earlier and 1/2 tonight, so I ate an entire burger today. I made zucunni quiche earlier and cut it into small slivers so I can have it for breakfast on the go - approx 200 cals each slice and high in protein, much better than the cheese stick I was eating. I had company today, made mac salad and didn't eat a bite, had real burgers and hot dogs... nothing! although the thought of eating scares me which helped. got all 80 oz of water in... lets hope tomorrow the scale either goes down or stays at 224, i'm still a lb less LOL Anyway, I'm starting to feel like I have things under control, I thank my fill for that !

SEE... told you all I had self confidence issues. come on... anyone else do crazy stuff like that?- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Judy thanks that helps a little. even before my fill i was doing about 4 -5 oz chicken and 1 cup of lettuce (almost like a chicken ceasar salad) for lunch and 3-4 oz meat and 1/2 -1 cup of veggies depending what it was for dinner. Breakfast I would grab a cheese stick or something quick. I was not feeling hungry inbetween until the last week or so but was not loosing, I was probably at 1200 cals a day. I guess this fill is just a good reality check for me. I am going to make some fritattas today so I can have ready made breakfast. I got tuna and turkey burger at the store yesterday so I'll go back to post op diet. I can have the same thing every day and just add different spice. right? I am fitting into my old small person clothes and for that I'm so happy, I am only 8lbs to my lowest weight in years, and I use to be happy here... LOL not anymore. Now I look at myself and say what a fat ass I am... I know but it motivates me. You guys would laugh your butts off if you saw me trying on clothes yesterday, I would feel great then look in the mirror... LOL and yes, I know I couldn't even dream of wearing them 3 months ago... and that is a great accomplishment. Just trying to give you a visual of my every day- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Kat that is so great, Iam so glad. She will continue to be in my prayers. Judy - you are amazing. what is it that you eat during the day. I am down to 224 this am, don't get me wrong, that is 6lbs since my fill, but I'm on protein shakes and last night tried chicken. I work out every single day and not loosing lbs. I am a scale person. On that happy note... anyone find a good exercise to get rid of the belly? I feel like I'm tightening up but since my c-section which is a major thing, but they cut so much muscle I didn't even have feeling there until recently. How frustrating- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
Terry - It does not sound like you are in a great place either - I'm so sorry. I said it before and I will say it over and over... No matter what, I don't have a single regret about being banded, if i lose my dbf, I'll be devistated, but I will be a much happier, healthier and of course thinner person when all is said and done. Remember that, it gets me through the day sometimes. TracyKS- you must be beat, I know yard work kicks my butt. that must have felt good to have those 16's on, i was trying on 16's today and they didn't look great but they were on and it felt great.!!!- Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
TracyK - good choice, I was getting worried myself, I am able to chug a little bit of water and actually ate 1 1/2 oz chicken tonight, was moist as heck but still ate it. chewed and chewed and then chewed some more but I ate it. I am having a bbq tomorrow so I am going to try to eat. I got turkey burger for me, regular for everyone else and nothing else special for me, I wanted baked beans but didn't know who else would eat them. I am going to try some scrambled eggs for breakfast and got tuna at the store. I feel like day 1 all over again. - Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters
