  1. My surgeons discharge orders werw not to drive for 10 days.
  2. My surgeon wouldn't release me to drive so my sister caught Amtrak to WV and drove me back. For real, I would not have made it if I had to drive. Please have a backup plan.
  3. Wheetsin where can you purchase it from?
  4. Notime what protein do you drink?
  5. To wheetsin which protein do you drink that have 40 grams protein?
  6. That's good news Jimmy! Well, my 6 weeks postop drs appointment was scheduled for the 30th, but pain in my chest and back and a terrible cough that 10 days of antibiotics didn't cure brought me in earlier. I got to WV after 5 and I have completed chest xray blood work and urine test. ER doctor said she didn't see pneumonia, thank God, but she is leaving it up to my surgeon to diagnose tomorrow. So she did say I have severe bronchitis and the antibiotics previously taken was not strong enough! Ten days of 3 times a day for nothing! Oh well I'm thankful it didn't turn into pneumonia! Please send up some prayers for me.
  7. Jimmy, there's only one you, so please take care of you however long you have to be in that hospital! I will continue to hold you up in prayer. Please keep us posted. All of the April sleevers are really concerned and pray nothing but the best for you and your recovery. Be blessed!
  8. Hello everyone, today is my 4 week sleeve anniversary and I weighed in at 235.7, dropped 35lbs. I am so very happy that I made this decision. It's days like this that out weighs that little voice I hear sometimes telling me that I would never be able to eat like others, but that's fine because I'm not like others, but soon I will be looking like others! April sleevers rock!!!!
  9. The incision where the drain tube was took the longest to heal. It was oozing pus and hurting, so I started cleaning it with half peroxide and water and kept a clean band aid on it.
  10. Jimmy, so glad for the update. Concentrate on your healing. You can get another job, but not another Jimmy! Just know that we love you and will continue to send prayers up for a speedy recovery. Be blessed!
  11. Even if Jimmy can't use his phone, the person that have access to his phone should at least inform us how he is doing. I don't know what to think, so I'm giving it to God and pray that everything is fine.
  12. I will definitely be praying for Jimmy @10
  13. I'm 3 weeks postop and have been at a stall for the last 5 days. I was losing 1-2 pounds a day and it stopped. As a matter of fact one day I had gained 3 pounds. A little nerve wracking, but no regrets. I did have a good moment. I put a pair white pants in the cleaners and when I put them on yesterday, they were too big, LOL
  14. Jimmy, I'm so sorry that you are having problems. Please know that God is awesome and didn't bring you successfully through surgery just to fail you now. This is just a bump in the road. I will pray healing power over your body and through the hands of the doctors and nurses assigned to you. I plead the blood of Jesus over you. GOD said that if two or three touch and agree that he would be there, and you have the entire April sleevers in agreement over you. So claim your healing victory and truly believe! Be blessed Jimmy!

  16. I began to itch my second week and it lasted for over a week. My hands and my feet were sore from me scratching. It left my third week just as quick as it came, weird!
  17. To JANIRN, I have terrible mood swings, and I cry a lot! I'm day 12 also, but I hope this gets better. I had my staples removed today. I also feel like my weight is not dropping fast compared to some on this site. Do smelling some food make you nauseous?
  18. I had to add that Dr. Nease is a very good looking surgeon. When he walked in I didn't recognize him. He looked nothing like the pic on his website. Very nice, mannerisms, thorough and knowledgeable! My sister and my niece was very impressed. My sister was hoping to see him today when I was being discharged. I would highly recommend Dr. Nease!
  19. I had codeine in me when I was typing, I meant Dr. Nease. My catheter was removed Friday night, and the drain tube was removed this morning. I have to give myself a blood thinner needle in the stomach once a day for ten days. I'm on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks, full liquids the next 2 weeks, pureed foods the next 2 weeks, and then soft foods. I have to take in 60 grams of protein and 64 ounces water a day. I have to report my weight to dietitian once a week. I have to get staples removed in 10 days and I go back to west Virginia in 6 weeks. As of today I have gained 6 pounds, but my monthly came on Saturday.
  20. Dr. Beast is a great surgeon! My surgery was on Thursday and he made me and my sister feel very comfortable and had me laughing up until I went out. He repaired a hernia while he was doing my surgery. My blood pressure has been up and down and my temperature. I did get released today, but experiencing lots of gas right now. But overall I don't have any regrets and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon!
  21. Hello everyone, I was sleeved yesterday and all I want to do is sleep. First two days have been rough. I feel if they remove the catheter and drain tube I would be able to move better! Good news is I passed the leak test. I'm very weak and they been giving extra fluids. Please send extra prayers up for me.
  22. Good morning April sleevers, I have my IV and just waiting patiently and a little nervous!
  23. To Sashadee, unfortunately I will be alone also. My sister underwent surgery twice last week. So I don't have any one else to trust nor ask at the last minute. So, I will put it all in God's hands and leave on Tuesday April 17 for West VA. I have pretests on Wednesday and surgery on Thursday. And because I live more than 100 miles, I have to stay in the hospital until Monday 23rd.
  24. Hi my surgery is April 19, so I'm in the middle! After having a meltdown and lots of second thoughts, I'm excited and anxious again! I send up prayers for successful sleevers and traveling mercy to and from our destination and speedy recovery! April sleevers rock!
