  6. Hi , I'm 51y, single and am tryn to get control over my life as well.. I've had the Lap band and my health has gotten worse now I have an appt for VSG on thurs. Keep positive thoughts, .. I'm still tryn to learn how to use this site.
  7. Have u tried talking to the pharmacist to help u? Or go to Walmart, Try Vitamin shop online. For the Protein...my friend buys the protein mix but doesnt like the taste. She mixes in a lill banana or strawberries . I suggested MIO...squirt a little for the flavor. Hopefully this helps..
  8. Ive been trying to do my research on the lap band to gastric sleeve operation and am really getting scared. I have read about the nausea, vomiting, pain, leakage, stents, hair loss (omg the hair loss), inability to eat enough Protein. But the good part to look forward to at the end of the rainbow to, is the weight loss, hair growth after almost a year, pain is gone, starting to eat and keeping it down..... I hope when my time comes I have an easy transition. Any advise?

  10. I also have BCBS and sadly but true u do have to have 6 months supervised diet and psych eval. My daughter went thru this 3 yrs ago with Aetna n was declined. BCBS she had no problems, just overweight. Make sure u meet the criteria before u start. Talk with the dr and the financial person. Ask questions! Lots of questions
  11. OMG I just read about not coloring my hair for a year! OHHHHH NOOOOO! NO one has ever seen a single gray hair in my head! I'm thinking about buying several and using wigs when that does happen. My supervisor s hair always looks so perfect n she told me she has several wigs for different occ. Never knew...
  12. Congratulations! U look amazing! My friend had the bypass which I know is different but my point is she went from size 26 to 14 in 1year. She lost a lot of hair n was looking sick towards the beginning. But now, she s looking healthy. She has regained most of her hair. Her problem was she wasn't getting enough Protein and Vitamins. She was afraid to over eat. I go for my first appt thurs. I am lookin forward to the surgery but scared. I ve read lots Bout the nausea, vomiting, losing hair, pain.. Oh my
