Just a lil FYI, I've been a nurse 33yr and we as nurses see a lot! We see the bad stuff n watch the healing process in action but we don't get to see the success out there. The gastric sleeve has not been out there 10yrs I don't believe. This is not my expertise...like with every surgery there are risks... If u don't feel comfortable then I would wait if I were u.. I was scared all the way till the put me to sleep. But after a couple of days n my progress I know I made the right decision... Hi everyone, I'm doing quite well. Everything is fine. Dr Yu found a hernia around the esophagus and some scar tissue withe the Lapband. I got down 3ozs in an hour. It hurt at first but the lortab elixir helped vs the morphine. I walked around on the unit 4times today { 5times each round} . They stopped the morphine it caused me to itch all over which is one of the side effects n knocked me out. 2 of my IVs came out yesterday n the staff waited 1 1/2 hrs before the restarted the IV that the only time I was in pain..I was cruing my head off. I told the dr what happened n got very upset with the staff.. N lastly, the AC went out at MN till 0210 the morning, it was soooo hot. Thank u all for ur prayers...all in all I'm doing great S- Sleeve Tomorrow!
