AnnetteT got a reaction from Domika03 in Tupperware Vent and Serve
Have any of you cooked in the tupperware vent and serve containers? I recently attended a Tupperware party and purchased this product. I have had trouble with meat the last few
months. I was skeptical at first, but after cooking in it I'm amazed. I have cooked chicken, meatloaf, turkey burgers, venison, shrimp, fish, eggs, veggies and some diet friendly Desserts. Everything is extremely moist. It also cooks most meat in 2-3 minutes. I'm not a Tupperware rep...just and extremely happy customer passing on a tip. Have a great evening!

There are several threads posted about phentermine...I believe that's the same drug. You may want to take a look at those. Quite a few people discussed there experience with it. My doctor put me on it a few months ago and I stopped taking it after the first month. My hair started falling out in clumps. It scared me to death! Good luck...I hope you have better results.

There's also a great thread on here about carb cycling. It has tons of great info from several lap band members that used it to break a plateau.

Yes he did the original lap band surgery for me. I had to switch to Dr. Carmody to get him to repair the damage Dr. Schroeder did. I only see Maya for my adjustments now. I absolutely love her!

Dr. Carmody is my doctor too. I switched to him when I found out my original dr. hadn't sewn my port down completely. Dr. C did my port revision and his NP does my fills. Her name is Maya Paige...she is wonderful! Good luck with your upcoming surgery!!

I have to believe that all of us have talent that is being wasted. If not writing, painting, crocheting, volunteering at a local pet shelter, or what ever you think you can do. What a nice thing to do would be volunteer at the humane society as a dog walker. You are getting your stress out with the walking and making some puppy happy to be out of their kennel. I am thinking about starting my own tax preparation service. With all the soft ware out there and I have been doing taxes for people for 30 years. It can really pay well if you have enough people to use you to do taxes. Find your talent and use it to channel your stress to do something for the good of humanity. I have also thought about going back in to teaching child birth classes. Those were fun times in my life. You have to do something that will make you feel useful and appreciated.

I didn't care for Ensure. I tried many types of Protein Powder, but Designer whey is my favorite. I buy the vanilla and then add a little sugar free pudding mix to change the flavors up. My favorite is vanilla Protein powder, strawberries and a tsp. of sugar free cheesecake pudding mix blended with unsweetened almond milk. It tastes like a milkshake. You can make so many combinations by switching up the fruits and flavored puddings.

In my pre op class, the nurse stressed what a valuable resource LBT was. I went home, signed up, and I've been hooked ever since. My fill nurse has also referred to the site on several occasions.

I had a two week bucket list of places to eat and foods to consume. Enjoyed my "last meal" of filet with a garlic whiskey sauce, loaded potato and 3" thick key lime pie. Followed it up with a chocolate martini and a hearty cigar. Loved every morsel and favored every minute of the last time I would ever eat these things or at certain places. I have since figured out you don't miss out just make better choices. I think everyone should have a last meal but not cause they are getting banded. Have it because that fat person stuffing their face at that last meal is dying and a new person, skinny person, better choice making person will wake in their place the next day.

I get most of my recipes from emilybites. I've also gotten a few from Rachel Ray's recipes. Apparently the muffin tin recipes are quite popular now because if you google them you will find tons of ideas. Not all are healthy, but if you play with the recipe and make some substitutions you can bring the calorie count way down. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the recipes.

AnnetteT got a reaction from KAATNS in Don't give up on the sweet spot
I was banded on March 1, 2012. I am very thankful for my lap band. It has helped me to get off of all diabetes meds after being on 7 insulin shots per day.
I always wondered what the green zone or sweet spot felt like. I've done great with my band, but it took me until this weeks fill to finally understand what all the fuss was about. The band has helped me lose over 100 pounds, but I'd hit a 6 month plateau. Well now I feel like I've finally had the aha moment. I see just how wonderful this tool is. Those of you who have been having trouble finding the green zone...be patient. It took me 17 months of small fills to find it. I lost most of my excess weight by eating by my band rules and exercising despite not being in the green zone. Now I feel like there is hope for me to lose the last 40 to put me at goal. It's been one week and I feel like a different person! I rarely think about food, i don't snack and I'm having no trouble sticking to correct portions. I feel so blessed to have this wonderful tool that has helped me get my health back.
    Thanks for listening fellow bandsters!
