Just wanted to say if you find the answer on how to lose the last extra weight please let me know. I have been at the same weight for at least 4 months. I did lose about 10 lbs in the last 2 weeks, but it was because I was unable to eat or drink and once I got the fill removed from being too tight, I have put on every one of those pounds. I got a fill on Tuesday and I hope that it helps, I got 1 cc and think that I may need more, but I am gonna see how this goes for a while. I want sooo bad to lose this 20 lbs, but what can I do??? I feel like you, no matter what, the scale won't move................

Oh Boy!!!! To have one of the office staff trained in taking fills out in emergencies!!!

In the morning I am unable to drink without PBing, much less eat. If you are unable to get solid foods down in the afternoon, then I would say yes you are too tight. You can't live on liquids. Did you do liquids after you got your fill? How long in between the fills did you wait? Sometimes it takes my fills 2 or 3 weeks to "tighten". Hope all goes well for you...

Which would be a better time to go out of March, May or July??

Hey Everyone!!! We are fixing to plan our vacation this year and I was wondering if anyone can give me some info on Branson? I have a 2 12 year old and he will be 3 in June; we are planning on going in July!! So all the Missourian's out there please give me some information....where is a nice place to stay? What can we do that my little one will enjoy? Places to eat? Thanks in advance:-)

If you are referring to me; I am very sorry if I sounded mean and I am not upset at all. The reason that I said I wasn't changing Dr's is because someone asked me if I was....and I was just telling everyone. I just don't want to see a Dr's reputation ruined by rumors. I think that he is a very competant surgeon and I trust him. But, just because I do don't mean that everyone should. I wish you the best of luck and try and see if you can contact inamed and see what they tell you.

I am fully aware about the panic that is started. These are NOT actual facts. I have heard about the 1 death that was not band related; she was 74 and had complications from the surgery. If he did have deaths that were done during the surgery and yours is done.....then you don't have anything to worry about. If you aren't having any problems then what is the panic? He isn't going to kill you by doing a fill. I am not changing Dr's. Dr Spivak was the one covering for Dr Spiegel while he was on vacation. Dr Spivak's nurse and Spiegel's nurse were not totally on top of things when I called and asked if he could take the fill out. When I talked to Spivak personally he told me to come on up there and he could get it taken out. I went and he was in surgery and the nurse tried three or four times to get my port and was unable to, so she sent me to Park Plaza Medical Center and they did it under fluro. I am not changing Dr's. My Dr is still Spiegel. I hope this clears things up. I am not one to believe in he said she said crap. If the deaths were true I am sure that they had to be reported and he would have lawsuits out the yazoo. And as small as this area is wouldn't the news and newspapers get a whole of this???? I don't know if I helped much.....but that is my 2 cents..... P.S. One of the girls that works in his office was just banded by him and another is being banded next week......if u worked for him and knew that he had killed 6 people would u let him touch u???? __________________

Night 2 without waking up coughing...did the liquids yesterday and I feel alot better....now for day 3.........Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!

How did u figure out the band slipped before your second fill?

Welcome to the board!!! We hope you stay a while....As far as the carbonated drinks...my Dr's office told me that they could stretch the pouch...like when you put coke in a sippie cup it spews out the top; that is what it would be like in your stomach....I think that is one of the rules that all the Dr's agree on. I could be wrong. I have had frozen alcoholic drinks...margaritas and stuff like that and they haven't bothered me...I think there are some of us that have the drinks around here.. Sue...I was hoping you would post in my thread...you always give great advice.............No, none of those are nearby.....closest would be about a 2 hour drive....we are going to my aunt's tonight and we are going to stop by Jason's Deli and get me some soup......I was so excited this morning when I woke up and realized that I didn't wake up coughing.......

The last fill I had was on October 11th. Dr Spiegel's nurse called today to check on me and make sure that I was going to be ok..I told her that I think I will be fine and she told me to contact her if I needed anything over the weekend, so that made me feel better. I have drank 6 oz of hot cocoa and have kept it down. I heard if your band slips that everything you drink comes back up...is that not true? I really don't think I have slipped the band; just have what Michelle had a while back. I think that the liquids are going to work. Hopefully anyway!!!!

Did your Dr mention the protien shakes to you?? I was told that I could have anything that went through a straw the day I had the surgery. The next day after my surgery I had one...Every Dr is different...Good Luck to You!

Mine is to keep the scissors out of my hair and let it grow.. 2nd is to lose my last 20 lbs in our Company sponsered "diet".
