  1. Wow I would love to hear about those workouts. I have been stalled for more than 2 weeks during my second month and I'm terrified that I may not lose much. If it is not much trouble, can you please share what those workouts are?
  2. Loved this one!!! Here is mine: these days, I can climb stairs for almost 4 floors without having to take a short break at every floor to catch my breath! And I have used my asthma inhaler very rarely these 2 months (maybe twice). It is such a relief and I really look forward to all the NSVs that I hope will come my way
  3. I was neck deep in pain meds the first day and did'nt feel one bit of anything! The next day, I had a mild pain in my largest incision - as it was on my left side, I had to make a concious effort to get down from the bed on my right side. If I forgot to get down on the right side, I had a stinging pain for a few seconds. This was only on my second day. From the third day onwards I did not experience any pain unless I had too much to drink/eat during the first week.
  4. Congrats! Wish you a speedy recovery and great success in your weight loss journey!
  5. Awesome job, MeeMee!! Such a huge weight loss in 8 days!! So happy for you
  6. I think it is called Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome -- it is caused due to harmonal imbalance. The main result of this imbalance is the formation of small cysts in the ovaries. And it causes irregular mensural cycle.
  7. Yay! Congrats, neighbor! (I'm an Indian ) I wish you a speedy recovery and great success in your weight loss journey!!
  8. Congrats on this life changing decision! Wish you a speedy recovery, and success in your weight loss journey!! PS: Love the moustache in your avatar LOL
  9. Awesome! Congrats! All the best with your sleeve, career and life!
  10. I'm not married and dont have kids. I had the surgery in Jan. I was very tired the first week and till the 4th week I needed mid day naps for atleast 2-3 hrs. I dont do much physical activity at home or office, still I needed naps. So I had to take a 5 weeks off from work. But the 5th week was better - I was back to normal and did not need to take naps in the afternoon. Once I started going to office regularly, my energy levels were back to normal.
  11. Each morning I take my vitamin meds at my office coz I have a protein shake for breakfast every day and it just feels too heavy for me for atleast 30 mins after I have the shake. But, on weekends I sometimes forget the vitamin meds - like today Oh well, cant do anything abt it now -- its almost 11pm here... will have to try my hardest to not miss taking my meds....
  12. AWESOME! Cant wait to have my own NSVs!
  13. You look fab!!! Congrats on your awesome weight loss! I too am planning to get a tattoo once I reach my goal or atleast once I'm 15 lbs near goal!!
  14. Well, not sure if this is much of a help... But a few days after I joined this forum, I read a post where a lady said her mother had gone through a surgery very similar to VST (where they cut off a portion of the pouch) 19 YEARS AGO and that she was feeling well and had no issues. Now, VST is a pretty new procedure compared to others, so it is hard to find definite long term results researched and published. All I had to convince me to take the plunge was the assurances from my surgeon (who is AWESOME!). I had no other option, because, I was at a point where the next 20 yrs of my life would have been a living hell with obesity related complications if I had not gotten sleeved. So, at this point, I'm just going with the flow and hoping and praying that even after 20 yrs I feel good without any VST related complications.
  15. I had to have it done because of the acid reflux. But I dont think it is necessary for everyone.
  16. Wow!! Congrats!! You guys are such awesome inspiration
  17. That is so awesome and you look GREAT!!
  18. Wow awesome! Congrats! Wishing you and your wife a very happy anniversary and many many more to come!!
  19. Yup -- she was the one who came to my mind immediately. But as I'm new to forum I didnt remember her name correctly She is a huge inspiration!
  20. Not me personally, but I spoke to several of my doctor's patients who had VSG and got pregnant after 2 yrs or so. In my research I found that the weight loss actually helps with fertility. And I know a few members of our forum are actually pregnant now -- I read few threads by them, but the names escape me at this point. You could do a search on the forum topics and you'll find those threads.
  21. Oh and I dont get hungry for a good 2-3 hrs after eating.
  22. I cant relate to what a 'stuck' feeling is like as I have never had a lapband. But I do know what a full feeling is like after VSG. The food literally refuses to go down after that point for me. A couple of extra bites, and I have a HUGE burp and that is a sure indication not just for me but also for others near me LOL. Then I feel this urge to get up and just walk around a bit in the hall. After the surgery you'll really have your own 'tell' about the full feeling. Dont worry and all the best!!
  23. Awesome NSV!! I hope I have some of my own soon!
