Sleeved On 2/27, Two Days Post Op
I didn't expect to weigh more but got in the scale and it went way up. I should have known something was wrong when I couldn't put my sweats on in the hospital. I'm really bloated and I know I have a ton of water weight. Think I will wait awhile before I hit the scale again.

Anyone Getting Sleeved On Leap Day With Me?
@hawaii I'm praying. I've been sleeping a lot also and my body is still very sore. Everyday I'm able to get in more liquids not the required amounts but enough. Lastly my chest is still hurting when I drink. At this stage I prefer to sleep!!! Can't wait to feel better!!!!

New Feb Sleevers Any Regrets? Best And Worst Thing So Far
My sleeve date was this past Wed. and just bored and wondering how everyone is doing? I don't have any regrets but am counting down the days till I feel better. Every day its a new struggle. The worst had been the pain when drinking. The gas pains seem to have gone for now. So far the best part is I have yet to vomit and being a single mom its nice having my mom stay with me to take care of things.

Just A Few Questions
I have BCBC PPO in North Carolina and had no problem getting approved. BCBS is really pro bariatric surgery according to my doctor office. Check with then and they will tell you requirements. Mine required BMI of 35 with something else like diabetes. Good luck

4 Days Post Op
My surgery was Wed and I experienced the same pain. My doctor suggested to sit up or even stand when drinking. Its helped a lot. Also make sure to take really small sips. The smaller the sips the less pain for me.

2 Days Pre Op Praying To Go Home Today
Surgery day I felt wonderful, yesterday morning awesome. Narcotics wore off felt like I've been tossed around the inside of a dryer. Lesson one sit completely up when drinking or it feels like needles going down. They decided to keep me another day. I had awful heartburn my doc says this is normal. On top of that I had these horrible stomach spasms. Not sure if that is the name for it but every once in awhile it hit almost like a contraction. Again my doc not worried. Anyone else experience this? On a good note so far im only on one insulin. Hopefully it will stay that way. At this point I just want to go home and sleep it off. You get absolutely no sleep in the hospital! Im cranky if you can't tell and can't wait to feel just a little better

Totally Confused About What To Buy Pre-Surgery. Too Many Powders, Mixes, Drinks Etc.
The Vitamine Shop sells lots of individual servings so I tried a lot. I also ordered unjury which I've heard amazing things about. I had my surgery yesterday morning and I've been sipping on Oh Yeah vanilla and it taste amazing. They are pretty expensive but lactose free. Hope this helps.

If I meet them today I should be going home this evening. I haven't had to vomit at all. More discomfort them pain. Not out the hot Water yet but overall I feel fine. Happy Thursday

Not A Rude Waiter, But A Rude Patron.
People like that act like bullies but are truly cowards. It took me, awhile to stick up for myself. In a situation like that I would first acknowledge her by smiling and saying how are you. If the starting continued I would nicely say can I help you with something. She probably would avoid looking at you the remainder of the meal. Ugh people

Last Appt With Surgeon Before My Date. Help Please.
My doctor had a ton of prescriptions for me to fill. I made sure to take a pen and paid to write down all instructions because there are a lot. Also if you are currently taking meds make sure to ask if you should stop those pre surgery.

Emotional Roller Coaster Before Surgery. Is This Normal?
My surgery is scheduled for 2/29 less then a week away and I find myself an emotional wreck! I can't sleep my nerves are going crazy. I'm excited but still nervous. I've done enough research that I'm aware of side effects and mishaps but honestly that not bothering. For every horror story I read there are 10 awesome ones. This morning I actually had a wave of sadness hit me that I may not be able to eat certain foods again. From that emotion came anger that I allowed my happiness to be become so dependent on something life food! Over the years the weight has definitely make my self esteem close to zero. Even on days when I thought I looked good the pictures after the fact were a reality check of what I truly looked like. I turned 40 in Jan. My boys are now teenagers who only need me for rides lol. I spent much of my 20's and all of my 30s being a single mom. So I felt like this would begin a new chapter of my life where I could start taking care of me a little more. Anyway just felt like venting. I love this site because it allows me to do so. Just confused why I have been hit with this sadness. Anyone else go through this????
