1. Welcome! I am rather new too. I have been banded since 2/3/12. I love the support and knowledge you get from this site.
2. I didn't receive a fill at my first after care appointment. I was eating about the same at that time. I was told am I was doing fine and didn't need one at this time. I am now eating about 1/2 to 3/4 cup. I have another appointment on the 20th and I will wait and see what they say. Good luck! url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wwfR0m5/]
3. I have 5, 3 are very small, 1 is small and think over time you won't be able to see them. The largest one is just right of my port and is about inch or a little over. Not too bad over time they will fade and I am not worried about them. I did not have stitches they were glued.
4. It will take a little longer for the area around the port to heal. Remember it is stitched to the muscle. I try to sleep on my tummy but I think I freak myself out. This is not a good thing because I use to love it. Good luck!
5. Do you use a treadmill or walk outside? I do one or the other. I love to watch my shows while on the treadmill and I listen to my ipod while walking outside. Good luck!
6. I joined this site for support! You will find a lot of answers and everyone is willing to help. Welcome and good luck!
7. Just be care with celery it is hard to digest and it is stringing.
8. I try to weigh once a week also and in the morning before hopping in the shower. When do you update your ticker? I haven't updated mine since my last weighin with the doc.
9. Weird not being hungry. It will last for about 2 weeks... Glad you are doing better. Good luck!
10. Are you at least walking? My doc said walk walk walk as much as I could and when I had my 2 week check up he said I could begin working out...
11. I am doing great. The first week was rough but it got better pretty quick. Look at my blog and it will let you know what you will be going through. I am very happy it did it. I was 235.6 pre-op and pre-diet. I was 225 the day of surgery and at my last appt I was 211.6 that is a total of 23.4. I try to weigh myself once a week and only post the appt weigh-ins. I don't go back until 3/20 but I have lost an addition 5-6 lbs. I think everyone is nervous with any kind of surgery because it is surgery. You will be fine! Good luck and keep in touch. i will send you a friend request.
12. I'm in the Dallas area and I was banded Feb 3, 2012! Are you banded already or when will you be?
13. My doctor told me to have WASA crackers (crackerbread) only. They are in the cracker section and come in different varities. I have enjoyed them and so has my son. Perfect subsitute for bread and crackers.
14. I am in the DFW area! It is a small world...
15. You can do! Think positive. You have to believe in yourself if nothing else. It is all about will power. Life can only get better from here... Once you start loosing the weight you will know you can do it and the motivation will come and you will have the energy to get up an exercise. That was the hardest thing for me.
16. Just follow your Doctors instruction and you will be fine. Good luck tomorrow! url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wwfR0m5/]
17. I have lost about 27 lbs so far and I am happy with my weight loss thus far. What you about you?

19. Congrats to everyone. I was banded 2/3 and I'm feeling great! One of the best decisions I have made!
20. Yes, yes and yes. I went through the same thing 4 weeks ago to the day! The gas will get better over the next few days. The stomach noises will continue. Good luck!
21. My doctor told me the same thing not to use a straw. I've seen alot of different things on here my doctor said "No no" but others our doing it. I don't get it either but I have been deligent in following my doctors instructions.
22. I was a self pay just last month...
