Trouble Getting In The Water!
My dr. has me on the 30/30 so it isn't has hard.. I wake up have a tea then wait 30 then have brk, then wait 30 and drink and drink, have my Protein shake at noon, then drink more, then wait 30 have lunch at 2 and wait again, and so on.... I have always drunk a lot, so drinking isn't hard for me but getting plain Water in is and the waiting before and after meals.. I have a problem with my airway ( smaller then most ) so I need water to help with food, but I'm learning to take smaller bites and chewing chewing chewing.. It's not always easy, but it has to be done or I choke.. I hate hate hate plain water, so I try and have it after I excercise and when my hubby and I go out we always take drinks with us, so I just take water.. rest of the time it's crytal light or decaf tea.. I do have just 8oz of reg tea in the morning, though

Richmond Va Lap Band
I had surgery in N. Va.. The hospital was Sentera ( was called potomic ). The dr. is chief and head dr of the wt loss clinic there.. Wonderful Wonderful group of ppl. Most states side insurances will not cover surgery unless your bmi is over 35 with complications, but there is no reason not to try and see what they say.. Most first time consult with dr. are free so you can discuss then.. I would never go out of country but that's just me. I have heard of ppl going and they have had wonderful results, so I will allow them to discuss... Good luck

Tricare Prime North
I believe it took Tri care 8 day's to ok me... Don't worry about it, it sounds like you fit there guidelines.. If they do deny ( which i doubt by what you discribe ) you can always fight it.. Tricare requires a lot of tests before they will even look at your app, so try not get too nervous.. They do come back with an answer pretty quick... Good Luck!!!

New To The Low Carbs And Need Help, Please!!
I don't count carbs, because a lot of good foods have carbs.. I have gotten rid of bad carbs, like bread, rice, sugars, pasta.. I allow carbs that are in veggies and protein, as far as fruit, I don't really eat it because fruit is high in sugars.. I eat very very little if I do, just 2 bits or so and it's just about 1 x every few weeks or so.. 15 is low for carbs.. from what I've read on line, 100 grams or lower is good per day is good..

Anyone Heard Of A Maintaince Fee?
Some insurances don't cover all of what you need. My insurance gave me a list of what they will cover and what they will not. They covered all but 1,500. That I had to come up with myself. All insurances are not the same

Anyone Heard Of A Maintaince Fee?
I paid 250 for my first meeting with dr. dietician and excercise persons so they could eval me.. Then I had to pay 50 for each nut class I had and paid for other things as well. Like 300 for the diet plan for my liquid diet etc.. I tri care prime, but they don't cover it 100%..

Why No More Protein Shakes?!
Mine told me, that they want me to end up just having 1 protein shake a day... Since it is hard to stay low on calories and try and get 80 to 90 grams of proteiin, so the 1 shake is fine.. I average between 600 to 700 calories now and that's with 2 protein shakes, so for now it's fine, but once I get to my green zone then I will be going down to 1 shake a day..

Foods Aren't Really That Hard To Eat And I'm Two Weeks Out.....
I was told also by my dietician, NO bread, pasta, rice and sugars. I have kept to that and I've lost a total of 45 pounds since nov and a total of 31 pounds since feb.. It's not easier at all, but it's so worth it to me.. I just tell ppl I'm allergic to the stuff, which to me I am, LOL!!

Foods Aren't Really That Hard To Eat And I'm Two Weeks Out.....
highland is so correct... You have to give your stomach and stitches time to heal, that's why we go on the liquids then the mushies.. It takes about 6 weeks for scar tissue to develope and that's what they are waiting for, then you move to reg food.. Also, most ppl will not feel like anything has changed that much until they get their first fill. You have to start measuring and changing eating habits even before your first fill. You can't eat the same things just smaller portions and think your wt will come off. It's a life change!! The band can't change your food choices it there to help with hunger. Helps you eat less and helps hunger between meals, that's it.. Food choices are yours and yours alone..

Any Luck With Saltine Crackers
My dietician said I could have just 2 saltine crackers after I go into the mushy stage.. I had no problems with them once I entered the mushy stage..

Foods Aren't Really That Hard To Eat And I'm Two Weeks Out.....
what worked for me was having something every two hours and not going over portion size.. So I would alternate between food and protein shakes and then stop having my last meal at 6pm and all other times I drank.. I also made sure I never went over 1/2 cup of food.. My dietician said since I didn't have a fill ( which I just got one on the 28th of March ) yet; that I could eat between 1/4 and 1 cup of food per meal, but to make sure I didn't go over the 1 cup.. I stayed with 1/2 cup and it seemed to work for me.. Of course I felt hungry at times, but I would just drink when I did and that seemed to work.. I had no problems with swallowing anything and everything went down real easier..

Suddenly Feeling Really Nervous
Every dr. is different so I think all is ok on your diet.. I was told I couldn't pick up anything over 10 pounds for 2 weeks, but again every dr is different.. Are you hurting?? Do you feel like something is wrong?? If yes, then you should call your dr. If not, I would try and not pick up your 2 yr old from a standing position, do it from seating down, if possible.. If you still aren't sure, call you dr and see what they have to say..

First Fill Tomorrow...shrugs...do I Really Need It?
I was banded on 2-08-12 and just had my first fill yesterday.. My P.A said the normal fill is around 3 cc, but since I wasn't having that many problems and was losing wt and not having too much hungry inbetween times she only put in 1 1/2 cc.. You could see if they would just do a small one since you seem to be doing just fine the way you are.. I discussed not having anything done and she said that would be fine, but I choose to go ahead and have a small one because I did have day's that I seemed hungrier they others..

How Many Chew-Able Calcium Citirate Vitamins Do I Take A Day
It's saying 4 tablets are 1 serving, so you would take 4 tablets to get your one serving per day.. My calicum citrate is done the same way.. Ea tablet is 250 mil. I suppose to have 1000 per day, so I take 2 at lunch and 2 at dinner... The bottle say's 4 tablets per serving, so 4 = 1 serving per day... Hope it makes sense... How may grams per day are you take take, might be easier for you that way..

Psych Eval Time
Mine was a complete waste of time. All we did was talk about Europes Health Care systems since I'm from the U. K and have lived most of my life in the U.K or Germany... I left thinking well, that was fun but complete waste of my time..

Found An Ulcer
I found out the Friday before my sugery ( surgery was on a wednesday ) that my stomach has ulcers all over it.. They are tiny, but the dr. said it looked like my stomach had chicken pox.. They gave me meds to drink for 28 days and my stomach has felt a lot better since then. They said they would keep an eye out on it, but since I was having the surgery and my diet would change they weren't going to be too concerned about it..

How Much Protien For You A Day?
I average between 80-90 grams of protein per day... I get 60 grams from my two protein shakes I have a day and the rest either comes from the fish or chicken I eat.. My dietician said that the average female should get no less then 55 grams of protein per day and men 65 per day, but the more protein you get the better..
