I've been overweight my entire life. Even as a baby I was big. I've never known what it was like to be a healthy wieght. Of course I've tried the different diets, pills, fads and what have you. I've always been extremely active until I got so big that I couldn't be anymore 1. because it got very hard to breath , 2. because I was teased relentlessley in school or in public. Now I'm finally old enough to do something else about my weight and I'm hoping it will work. I'm not one of those who believes it's a magical cure, I know it'll take work, and I'm ready for it! I want to be healthy, happy, and ya know...I want to feel pretty too for once. My main goal is to be able to run again! So I'm starting my Journey2Healthy with the lapband. I just had my surgery April 12th, 2012. I'm learning the ropes, and anyone who says surgery is taking the "easy way out" is mistaken. It's hard! But I was expecting this and I'm up for the challenge!
