100% shows me you have the mindset. it is mind over matter. those box of cheese its at walmart is not making me eat it.....I either choose to or not. I see success on YOU...yep, I does......

for me the first 4 or 5 days it was (hard). my hub, who I adore, actually did not eat in front of me pre or post op. bless his heart.....but it will get easier...keep drinking, keep your mental attitude in check. it seems like forever, but the pre and post is only for a small smidge of time...proud of ya
  15. well TMF had great points..if you are losing (inches) you are losing weight..if you take in more calories than you burn off (you will gain or not lose weight). 3500 calories is a pound (ate/drank). only you know that answer...great job on the exercise and eating good food though.
  16. ((sending you big hugs from NC)) i felt much like you when i started. i also only told my hub at the beginning..and it was an uphill battle...but you know what, i have read your comments and i know you are a strong person..inside and out and there is nothing you cant do. my mom sounds like yours very much but its not about her or even elvis. it is about you.. you are making yourself well. do not let anyone stand in your way...via words or locking you in the closet..you get yourself well...get that want power and put on those high heels and work it.....because you are a success now....nothing wrong with getting overwhelmed and having a moment.....i put myself on a time out often and many times from my friends on here....telling me to take a chill pill and threaten to come out here to NC and whip my hiney...lucky you, i cant find my way out of a broom closet so i cant threaten to come get you........you are this close......keep going sugar.
  17. when you said (learned to adjust your lifestyle) what do you mean B?
  18. well i just (assumed) my large incision was the port. i was so fat (i couldnt feel the port) and had to ask the dr was he sure he put the band in me? ......remember i was the one who asked my dr does acrylic nails affect the band.....picture me having a stupad moment there...HAHA
  19. ......what am i to do with you???
  20. eye candy aka arlene aka dylans mom.....you made a terrific point.
  21. i know being hungry will make you want to eat sooner than what the doctors instructions advise you and you may think just alittle won't hurt.....but sometimes it is just best to hang in there and tough it out...sure call and ask the dr is it okay and then if it is, go for it.....but remember, if you give in now, will you give in later too?......
  22. you and i were banded the same day. how sweet is that?? well, remember when we started? nothing has changed except now we have a pretty necklace in our tummy to help us eat less food...just eat good filling foods/drink alot and WOW look at what you have lost..my dear you are a walking success..never forget that and that is freeking amazing.....like mis said, can you visit your nutritionist and get a refresher?.....do what works for you...i am so proud of my banded sister...
  23. here is another (observation) http://www.wlshelp.c..._medium=twitter let me add, i stand by my belief that the small risk of band surgery was WORTH saving my life...i also stand by the fact that ANY surgery can have complications... msmaui, i find that until you had complications, the band actually helped you lose weight and you seem to forget that...sorry if that is rude but i find your constant harping of the band failures also rude...... yes you are able to post what you want, good and bad....and i respect that and i support you and your recent surgery....
