About Me

  • Gender
    Female
I have been overweight forever. The smallest I was able to be was 140ish when I was playing softball in college. But as the story goes a bad relationship here and there and low self esteem/confidence and I found comfort in food. So this past couple of years I started doing some work on myself and got into a healthy supportive relationship and started to feel my confidence building then one day we were discussing my weight (I have to add this was a very uncomfortable discussion as I have always avoided this topic like the plague) and the conversation veered towards lap band surgery. I said I would check it out and resulting from one simple phone call from one simple suggestion here I am 10 months later with my surgery set for June 6th. This has been a really insightful journey, one that is just beginning and I feel like I made the right choice. My opinion is that everything happens for a reason and for whatever reason this is where I find myself today a bit nervous but very happy and I can't wait to have a more role in life.
