  1. great to see YOU again.........even better to read such a positive upbeat POST. you go girl as you a walking/talking success story.
  2. t , i agree with your post on all accounts. there is yeah i want to lose weight (that was me not long ago as i dipped my hand back into the bag of chips) and then there is the WANT to where i actually did something about it. YOU have that. you are a want power success god and i am proud of you...thanks for mentioning me although not sure what you read bless your heart.
  3. i strongly feel that you CAN if you WANT to..
  4. when i started this process last year, i heard people saying realize band and allergen and 4cc and 10 cc size etc......so i asked my dr....he told me..i dont see it as a big deal. i agree with miss, ask the dr and get the answer you seek. do not take no for the answer. you are the patient and (he) works for you.
  5. well from what i understand, the wraps help you lose (Water weight) and not real inches/pounds lost to lose weight you must eat less calories than you burn off..but if you like it, then use it....
  6. whats done is done, you are not a failure. to fail means to quit and say F** it... so you start over eat your allotted cup of food.....lean protein, veggies, fruit cut out the junk/fast/snack foods, drink alot and walk (if its all you can do)...but just begin, today, right now. no excuses, no woe is me BS. we cant take back the past but we can change the future. if we want too you CAN do this..yes YOU can.....and i will argue with you all day if you want me to... if you want to, then do it..
  7. 5 lbs. of fat is much bulkier than the 5 lbs. of muscle, but five pounds is still five pounds. Muscle does not weigh more than fat. Fat is bulky and lumpy so if you carry an extra five pounds of fat, you'll be lumpier than with five pounds more muscle. A five pound pile of fat will take up more space (volume) than a five pound pile of muscle; but five pounds is still five pounds. http://www.onemorebi...cle-to-fat.html
  8. yummy crunchy/salty chips....do you know how many bags of bbq chips i can eat...add in some coors light and we gots a party...highly processed, full of salt, high fat.....a easy/cheap slider food...nothing wrong with having them every so often in wee amounts (tara was right with the 100 cal packs).. but like my grammy said, pieces of fruit/veggies are a better option....
  9. decisions......french fries or cabo wabo tequila......let me think....
  10. LOVE THIS and plan to print it out and keep it here at work
  11. yes, i agree. your dr should have gave you a listing of what you can/cant have. best to follow your dr. i was told i am getting my liver gorgeous for surgery and not to get all hung up on calories (as i was doing 2 1/2 all liquid diet)....i drank all day long...SF popsicles saved me before and after surgery...it does get easier even though right now it dont seem like it... .day 5 it was for me like it was no big deal anymore...its a mind game with yourself and YOU are stronger then you give yourself credit for....hang in there.
  12. on my pre op, my dr wanted me off caffeine (no idea why) but after surgery, he had no restrictions..i guess whatever your doctor says...as i type this i am drinking an xlarge black coffee from dunkin doughnuts....yeah baby
  13. gas will have to work its way out (gas x did not help me).....it is painful and it will eventually go away...best thing to do is keep walking as much as you can...as for the incision, it was a major cut, so its gonna hurt/be sore etc...but if it starts to ooze or puss, def call the dr and let them know and keep an eye on it...my largest incision was sore/tender for a month..but it also will get better as each day passes....i know it dont seem that way now, but it will......(call and ask your dr about the boost, they may not want you to and really, only your dr should advise you if you can or cant drink/eat something)....hang in there okay
  14. you know sharon, this is a great post but let me add that every person is stronger than they think they really are. if we just took a moment to believe in ourselves instead of (no i cant lose weight/what am i doing wrong thinking) imagine what could happen....inner strength, begins within.
  15. well bless your heart you precious thing
  16. that is how i started grammy......told myself if i was able to have insurance approved, id do whatever i had to to make it happen....100% want power...
  17. if someone wanted to lose weight bad enough to have wls, you'd think they'd help the band by eating smart and being smarter then to knowingly be soo tight they cant eat or drink........their decision... not for me
  18. kime (hugs) for mentioning me and my ongoing drama of hate mail bless your heart for saying i do good. that means everything. and sometimes people are just ignorant. its as simple as that. and sorry you have to had go through that. love ya much
  19. sorry to read this in regards to you. and def hope people read your post as things (good and bad) do and can happen but not always.
  20. well i have (bat wings) and could prob take flight on a windy day and i got some sag on my lower tummy and upper thighs and i could go on and on.....but it is what it is.......there is surgery....there is accepting the fact that i will have some extra skin hanging (i am okay with that)..and toning can help somewhat..i do detest however my upper arms and lower stomach...YUK so dont get me wrong and i wear sundresses/sleeveless now that i am (able to). heck yeah. dont like it, look the F**K the other way., i asked my hub not too long ago does he care if my lower stomach/thighs have some skin sagging......he said id rather you be this way than over 336 pounds again..that gave me my answer.
  21. yes and no it seems you are losing at your pace so what if me or whomever loses more you just keep doing what you are doing as it is working... ps: i am living proof that you do not have to have a fill to lose weight...i am not on a diet, but i just let the band help me eat less with me making better choices of food. (i guess i am a lucky one who got restriction alone w/band and plication). so hang in there
  22. ah, well aint you a sweet heart ((big hugs))
  23. my friends i cant live without: my pink Blender Bottle for my morning Protein shakes my vitamixer my small containers that i use to put my meals in for the week and this website who helps me stay inspired/motivated and YOU shr
  24. my bday in november but i will take it just the same GF
  25. this is surprising to me to read also. i have been banded 10 months and not thrown up once. i was told by my dr it was bad/dangerous for that to happen and to try not too if at all possible (of course you get sick/flu, it can happen) i agree with missy, a new doctor maybe in line here for you.
