July 4Th Challenge
- May Sleeve Buddies!
Hi guys! I went under the knife on May 7th at a surgery weight of 242. My one month anniversary was yesterday and I weighed in at 219 for a 23 pound loss. I guess I'm "normal." For all of you waiting for their first scrambled egg, I felt the same way and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. Every day since then has been better than the last. When you get to solids, try this blog http://www.emilybites.com/p/recipe-index.html?m=1 I have made both the taco and lasagna cupcakes. I liked the lasagna ones a little more (i may be biased living in tucson) but they were both awesome! Congrats to all the May Sleevers!- Any Seductions On Exercise Monitors.
Dinner and a movie? Just kidding, couldn't help it.- July 4Th Challenge
I'm in too! How exciting my first challenge! I would like to spend Independance Day celebrating freedom from the 200s but I'll stay somewhat realistic. Good luck everybody! May 7, 2012 Surgery Weight: 242 Today: 223 July 4th Goal: 210- Easiest Chicken Recipe Ever
Ive never tried the italian, sounds great. You can also use any type of marinade. My favorite is baja chipotle.- May 2012 Sleevers Group
Congrats beachlover! Glad to hear everything went well. I agree day time tv sucks. I don't even care for evening tv unless it's a Dbacks game or HBO. I went and saw "what to expect when you are expecting" at the theater today. It was good. The trailer made it seem like just a comedy but there was more to it. I don't have kids and still enjoyed it. I'm thinking of seeing battleship tomorrow. Anyone see it yet?- Kinda Confused...
Sandra, I'm only nine days out and my Water intake has been so much easier. Your tummy is still swollen (I'm sure mine is too) and it makes it hard to put anything in there. Every day it gets easier. I'm still sipping, but I get an larger sip in there occasionally without a problem. Water does not stay in my belly for long, just a couple minutes. Don't worry it will get better!- May 8 Surgery, Post Op Appt & What To Eat?
Sounds like you are doing great! Week two for me includes protien shakes, cream soups, pureed lentil and split pea soup, sf pudding, in addition to all the clear liquids from last week.- What's The Story With Gerd?
DesertRat, I was sleeved on May 7th by Dr. Monash (a superb surgeon in my opinion) in tucson. He also repaired a hitial hernia. The next day I started feeling like i had stomach acid creeping up all the way up into the back of my mouth. Preop, I had occasional heartburn, acid reflux, but this was much more severe. Doc suggested I start taking Prilosec. Since then, it has Improved greatly. I wouldnt be surprised if I have to take Prilosec or an equivalent permanently. Hope that helps and good luck on your journey!- May 2012 Sleevers Group
If you are anything like me, you will be so pumped up before surgery you won't get a chance to be tired. Then you will have plenty of time to sleep post op.- May 2012 Sleevers Group
Yea!!!! Good luck tomorrow. Don't worry it will be over before you know it.
