I've been looking for a exercise monitor and there so many out there. Some with all the bells and whistle. Some that are cheap. Any suggestions.

I haven't used it, but several friends are raving about FitBit.

Since I know you have a droid, I'd check the app market & get an accessory for that device (unless you are ready to upgrade to an iPhone )

I love my body bugg!! I found a coupon online for 20% off, so it was under $100. You get 6 months of the management system with the order, then you have to pay (I think $80 for a year or $10/month if you go monthly).

I like my fit bit and I use it along with my fitness pal to track exercise and food.

I love my fitbit! The website and monitoring are always free. I sync with MFP, which I have been using for awhile and I think is the best food tracking site. Fitbit also syncs with 5 or 6 other food tracking sites like lose it! Fitbit has on-site food tracking, but glad it syncs with others that you may be already using.

Also, I use my fitbit to track my sleep, not sure if you can do that with others.

Whichever one you go with, sync with Earndit to earn gift cards and enter challenges to win even more prizes.
