Post-Surgery Visit
Hey if this helps, let me say it. There is this thing I forgot what it is called, but it is where your body makes glycogin I think, and there is about like 6 to 8 lbs of water to make this in the mucles, and when you start the ketosis thing, the body uses all the glycogin (might really be called something else) in the mucles, it has to store up another 6 to 8 lbs of water to make / disolve more of this glycogin. So you really could be loosing a lot more than before.

In Hospital Just Got Sleeved And Have Question
I have a pretty high pain threshhold, but the surgery didnt have a thing on the gas! Whewee. Oweee! That hurt a lot, as compared to no hurtie. It lasted all that and then some, just long enough to let me get out and take some shopping trips the last 2 days in the "mansion".

Taking It All In And I Mean All!
Taking it all in and I Mean ALL! This 61 lb weight loss is so great, but it is hard to keep up with! All those changing clothing sizes, and ya, I went and bought new ones for a few weeks, but that kinda was biting into my other spending frenzies, so I pulled up that weed. Now I am franticly roto zipping through all my slacks and jeans along with my capries and tops. By roto zipping, I mean flip the pants inside out, drag out the long arm sewing machine, and quick as a lick, stitch up the one inside leg and down the other. Next it is grasping the back label, pinch an inch between my finger and thumb, and away we stitch it to the other end, stopping short of the zipper with a tappering off to the nub. Next it is wisking away the affending portion of the clothe with my fiskers and, Wa Laah, Im lean mean and can do machine! The blouses dont have a match on me, they are next. Again grasping the label in the back, I make a single stitch down the back, and snipp and a snapp, and the garmet is wearable for another month, and next time it down the front! Let me know what encounters your having with your new future wardrobe!

Week 14 Post Op
I applaud you! I myself had to forgo the cruise this year, as I only really want to eat on the dang things, and would just make myself sick trying to stick it out. Maybe next year. Have fun

Next Week Sleevers ? Or Anyone Whom Are Upcoming April Sleevers?
Hey for all your recently sleeved, congratulations, and happy new year, because your sure gonna feel great this new you brings quest and permanent markers, because before you know it it will be time to get your extra skin removed! Just kidding, everyone doe not have extra skin. I read that it was great to reduce extra skin to scrub your skin to increase blood circulation, reducing sags. For everyone who has not had thier sleeve, all the nervous ness is so not needed, it is really not a misserable deal. The worst part was the first 5 hours, after that I felt real recovery. The gas pain is under rated by those who talk as if it is not so bad, it was not even heavenly in my pain ratio book! But maybe it was me...Other than the gas pain, the whole deal is hop and a skip on the road to skinnyville. I have lost 23 lbs since March 27th. 2012

Been A While
Go Girl! Me, Im just watching my self, wondering if I stick to it will it still work? Stick to nothing, because I cant eat much. I do pretty much eat a tiny bit of anything I want, but know I need protein first, and some really good raw foods. Im on a raw spinich kick, because it is a super food, and hauled out my jack la lane and am juicing everything that is in season. I cant get on the other forum, it is shut down on my pc, but I have friends from surgery that I want to visit with and miss, but of cource love this one. Im sending my kids away for the summer, and am taking this time to do some things for me, like finish my house and landscaping. A date would be great, but still working on the faith for that .

Going On Two Months Post Op, Wow!
Ya thanks, When Im not just anxting for some food, though not hungery, I catch myself waiting for a time to eat, and not drinking anything while a am waiting...strange, but aparently I am not used to so much time between meals, and so not having any meals, and just a couple of nibbles a day...Strange. Its a new life, and a lot of my underlying eating issues are starting to let off, since they may not get fed anymore, they are deprived and wandering about looking for another way to get prived, and it may be money, as I seem to be a spend freak since surgery. Oh well, hope it last! Ha Ha.

Going On Two Months Post Op, Wow!
Hi, I am coming up on my one month surgeversary, on the 27th too! And I do so much love my sleeve. It is so much not an issue as I thought it would all be. I had a stall too, ( I need to update my chart too) But now weighing in at 277, down from 314 pre surgery and 294 surgery day. Im not drinking enough, and feel peeked, but getting most the things I need each day, but some times dont get enough water or protein or exercise....I still love it all, because it all works inspite of the times I dont.

Its Only Week 2: Why Am I So Hungry?

Frustrated! Eat This, Not That....
I read what everyone else has said, and it all sounds reasonable, and we all "had", our vice, but now we remarkably changed our eating, by encouraging each one in the group to stop lying, we all know when it is not right. It is wrong if it feels bad and looks bad on. I discovered soy protein, and it is even in the flour, by 40%! It even has a brown flour look, like its healthy, and makes flour bleached white feel wrong. So like the book, "Eat This Not That" it pay off to make the switches. I cant trust myself with real food, so the switch is the soy protein powder, which under a micro scope is just food, but in a powder form, it switches off the eating machine by combining it with a chochlate latte thing taste, it makes the inches fall away. (Not the Hair!)

Thanks for the great report, you really took us with you on that scary big step. I read a lot of reports of the event, but yours really laid it out for me. My big step is next month, and your account of how it goes helps a lot!

Driving
Girl you know it! If I didnt loose everyone that I ever loved in the last 5 years, let me know, and if I dive into that ditch of grief again, shoot me! Im living in deniel for a reason, it works, and if I am the only one who remembers what the cops did when they pulled a bunch of teens over, well lets just leave it at that. If Im the only one who remembers riding in the car standing up between mom and dad, flying on the interstate, and sliding all over the back seat when they took a turn, into the local ice house...well then Im the only one.

Driving
Just kidding, I love to see the regulars get riled up! Maybe Im the only one who remembers the sixties! Ya, and you need meds to drive in some big cities!HA hA! Sure do envy you getting to live in the SF Bay area, Glory! That is some beautiful place. The only thing wrong with SF is I dont live there. The only thing wrong with my last trip there was no one was with me. I kept wishing I could say, "Hey look at this..." My neighbor got drunk and went outside and shot his friend dead a month ago, and another neighbor got under his house to fix a Water leek, and a copperhead bit him several times and he died. A boy the next town over slept with his window open, and a bat came in and bit him, he told his mom he thought he got bit, but they didnt do anything and he died of rabies! My dad was 82 years old, and died while he was driving, and hit another car and killed a real nice man, who was the father of 3 and my age....

Fat = Selfish
Well written, exactly what I also feel. If I was a drug addict or an alcholic, I couldnt be any more selfish that a food addict. It has cost un countable loss and damages. It is as sick a cult as I can derive. I hope to get free.
