  1. someone on here said wal mart carries it
  2. think of it as your body adjusting and getting ready for next round
  3. Im allergic to the glue on bandaides, and tape, so they have to use papertape. Will you still have the option of gastic or the sleeve? theres another one. Good luck let us know what happens
  4. You think its rough now wait until after you are banded and can only do liquids for 2 weeks, then mushies then finally soft. its our bodies screaming for those oh so good carbs/starches that got where we are (to need to get banded). But once you get started its not so hard. Really it isn't. And I did cheat, not all the time, but when I wanted a bite of something I had it, (not sweets) and dr never said anything. And I was having lightheadnesss/dizzyness to where my cardiologist has cut one of blood pressure meds in half already.Lots better since. Don't self diagnosis. It can be alot of things, Always check with dr.
  5. when you go out have waitress go ahead and box of half your meal so you are not tempted to go crazy, or order off the kids meal. I know I've gone out and people think Im sick because I don't eat like I used to (thats sad) but I'm doing it for me and my family. You can still have fun, enjoying your friends company...
  6. It is a problem I've learned here. The Protein sticks to your innards and takes a while to make all the way down. And as my status says, sometimes its nothing but a big ball of gas although you feel like you have to go really bad. Many people take supplements to help stay regular. I myself will have a cup of applesauce. Just find something you are comfortable with and like twi said, take it slow to begin with, you don't want to trade one problem for another. Good luck!
  7. we haven't been hanging from the chandeliers or anything, but fireworks went off, but I think it wass just too fast too wild. I had my heart going so fast the adreneline going but the coming down was aweful, I guess got take it slow. (for now)
  8. I havent had my fill yet but boy have I had the headache and the jitters! either ate too fast, too big of a bite, or much. or ate the wrong thing. Its crazy >Mine are better when I follow all the right routine but its alot to remember. They say it gets easier but it sure doesnt feel like it.. hang in there
  9. there was another post a week or two ago asking same thing
  10. soo much to remember chrissylu, we'll have to remind each other.
  11. my kettlebell goes from 5lbs to 25, thanks...
  12. when my own snoring woke me up, and it hurt to sleep tummy down.
  13. my md said you should still enjoy foods, just better choices, and its ok to slip now and then, and NOT feel guilty about it. I felt guilty because I had a cracker with my soup.. Im still not ready to veer too much but knowing that I can is good to know,
  14. If I were a flying squirrel I could fly with mine!. Back in the day when I was really working out and lifting weights , they looked quite nice, but now I where lots of sweaters. I have a kettle bell that just sits there sadly staring at me, I guess I should start using it soon.
  15. We are soo funny , what we used to do just out of habit to now that we consider/think of it as exercise. Right now for me, chasing my 19 mo old grandbaby around is exercise enough.
  16. Congratulations Crystal, I'm sure I have lost clothes sizes too but I havent bought new clothes really. I told my cousin that I look like M.C. Hammer my pant legs look so loose, she said thats ok, that was a good look then. My comfort clothes the big and loose Ive had to definitely stop wearing, simply because they were hanging off of me, and started wearing the stuff that was snugger, but now they arent. We are getting there!
  17. for me it gets hard to swallow, I have to throw my head back a biit and drink Water... so easy to forget the small, bites (and the slow swallowing) I was watching tv and I grabbed 2 slices of mango semi hard (Costco) I just started eating a piece like normal. I didnt realize till I was halfways done on one piece. I finished eating the one piece the way Im supposed to and put the other one back.. Sitting right next to it was a bowl of applesauce which would have been the appropriate choice finished the night with lots of water and sleeping at an incline. lesson learned, move on...
  18. 4kmarie, I was the same way, I'd look at my husband and say what did I do, what did I do? or he would just look at me and I would break down in tears. and say if I could get this thing out of me today I would, I would, 4 weeks oout and slowly losing weight, the tears have stopped and even though I am still having problems on food choices, balancing, and timing I'm trying to keep a positive outlook. this is just the beginning, how can I consider it a failure if I havent even given iit/or myself a chance? Its ok to have tears, get them all out and start your new life! we all will
  19. oh consider it a compliment! congratulations on weight loss,
  20. OMG, that's terrible. but before you start busting heads, did you use your work's insurance? maybe the rumor came down to office heads and one of supervisors let it slip? You have to go to work, don't let them get the best of you. And tell them, I was caught off guard yesterday yes I got lapband but I want to keep that information private. and I didn't appreciate someone flapping their F&*^$$& lips. especially in a medical office. condfidentiality is number 1 rule and they broke it. I would have been sooo hot. Why doesn't hubby know? I know its soo easy for someone else to say something so easy, but we are hear to support you. (I would have wanted to wipe that smirk off that girls face!)
  21. from what I was told, the body has to take a break and adjust, so its ok if you don't lose weight. It adjusts and then will start loosing weight again. Slow is good this time...
  22. Thank you for sharing your story. There's quite alot that they don't tell you in seminars/or reading material and unless you have a dedicated surgeon , it isn't until you hear from other bandsters to know what to look for, what to ask, what to expect, anything under the sun regarding lapband is covered here. Best of luck and health!
  23. I was just saying the same thing, I feel a bubble of excitement starting. Im actually loosing weight, starting to use small plates, baby spoons so what, but if it works for me, then I will use. I bought stuff ahead of time to have , and I think by the time I go look those clothes will be to big, I hope I left the tags on! Rock on !
