Do you mind me asking how much he charged?

Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery (Part-Time) Mom to 3 Kiddos(Overtime!)

My port is in the Middle and I often have pain on my left side under my ribcage.At first I thought it was a pulled muscle but I had my surgery in march and it still comes and goes???

Funny that I ran across this question.My husband and I have been married for 11yrs and have 3 kids.After having the kids and gaining so much weight sex was just a job for me and I had NO self esteem.Now after losing almost 50lbs I am actually enjoying it and initiate it.He made a comment on it today and I said just wait till I have my tummy tuck!Ultimatly this has made our relationship stronger.

I have no trouble with beer but I do have trouble with sodas.Makes it nice when you want to have a night out!:biggrin1:

Thanks! My mind is going ninety to nothing now trying to get ready just incase and I would of never even thought of Protein bars.I never eat them.I would probably get myself in trouble with fruit roll ups..I am worse than a kid(I would eat them all):kiss

Ok we may have to evacuate for Hurricane Dean and last time we had to evacuate it took us 32hrs to get somewhere it should of taken 5 for Hurricane Rita.I am just trying to prepare and needing ideas of food I can take on the road with me that does not to be cooked or cold.Last time we lived on chips and little debbies!! We were not prepared for a 32hr traffic jam with NOWHERE to stop.Needless to say I am praying for the Hurricane to stay on it's projected path(although we have a trip planed to Playa Del Carmen in Sept:rolleyes) Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!

Well I had a fill yesterday.I am still on liquids so I quess I'll know tomorrow how my restriction is.Hopefully good!!!!

I have been having fills every 3weeks and my last fill was 7/2.I FINALLY felt some restriction with the last fill but now it seems to be fading.I definatly have to eat ALOT slower.I have never Pb'd but I do get the stuck feeling sometimes.The problem is I still feel like I can eat too much (ex:Lg ceaser salad with 5 grilled shrimp,Hamburger pattie with 1/2 cup veggies) Plus anything goes down as long as I chew well..bread,rice, donuts:rolleyes,popcorn.I am walking/jogging 2 miles a day and eating lots of protein.I just want to get the maximum out of the band as possible.I have lost a decent amount but it seems to be slowing and I have done most of it on will power alone.Sorry for rambling I just feel so unsure regarding another fill.

Thanks for all the compliments:biggrin1:...The grocery store story remined me of yesterday.I was was dying of thirst and went to the coke machine to get water.I pushed the water button and out pops a coke.Now what do I do??I took one sip and threw it in the garbage.I was so proud of myself because I have ZERO will power when something is in front of me.It is getting a little easier now that I have some restiction.

Hello,I just thought I would be brave and post my 4month(well almost) progress pictures.I did not really notice any change until I took these pictures today.Please excuse the strech marks and scars!!!

As far as I know,I only had my first two fills there.And he did have the machine in the office @ that time.

I had my first two at his office when he did have the flouro machine.But they told me since I was self pay I needed to go to the surgery center.I really like going to the surgery center.I am in and out in about ten minutes.I even went on the wrong day one time and they still took me.

I FINALLY have restriction:whoo:I HAVE to eat everything very slowly and I get full super fast.Now I am ready for the scale to move!!!!

I am 5'7'' and weighed 226 and have lost 32# in 3 1/2 months

I still get left shoulder pain sometimes.Once I noticed it when I was too full.The other times it was just out of the blue????

Hearing of all of you being too restricted makes me jealous;) I have had 4 fills and I can still eat just about anything!!!:hungry: I am ready for some restriction!!!

It looks like they routinely do 1.5cc.I have an appt for my 4th fill,so it has taken me awile to get any restriction.I do have a little but have not hit my Sweet Spot yet:phanvan

This has been the hardest thing ever!!! I have had 3 fills and STILL do not fill restricted.Then nurse told me on my last fill after the barium that it looked like perfect restriction...not! I am losing weight but I have done this completly on my own.I am hungry 2hrs after meals and it is pretty much torture not to give in to temptations when I am soo hungry.I eat tons of protein hoping this would help but it has not.I am just getting impatient and wanted this weight off..yesterday! Has anyone ever not felt restriction after 3 fills????

I was self pay.I had heard nothing but good things about Dr Spivak and that is why I went with him.I have had nothing but positive experiences so far.So I believe I made the right choice!

I have a question about fills.I am self pay and have had 2 fills already at Dr Spivaks office(Surgery 3/12) I called today to make another appointment because my second fill is not doing the trick and they told me I should be going to the surgery center??? I told her the office is the ones that sc'd me for the other two fills at the there. Where is everyone getting there fills done,and how often? And are fills at the surgery center quick? Do they use barium every time??Thanks in advancee.....I WANT MY FILLS TO WORK!!!!

My Dr told me I had to wait 4-6weeks but after a couple of days I realized I still had NO restriction and I had only had some for the 1st week after surgery.So it is getting REALLY hard.Anyway,I called and they told me the earliest I could come was 3weeks so I said sign me up!!!!!
