  1. you guys should try the Bariatric fusion vitamins. Its a complete chew-able multivitamin made for Sleeve, Bypass, and band patients. i have been taking them since surgery and all my blood work comes back normal. Not bad tasting at all and i dont have to have 8 different pills to take. http://www.bariatricchoice.com/bariatric-fusion-gastric-bypass-vitamins-supplements.html?gclid=CKbpnPDR9LICFUud4Aod_1sA7A#.UHR3GpgxAxo

  5. Doubt that you are sabotaging your success, just falling back into old habits. Breaking habits it the hardest thing we face, we all spent years building bad habits, it will take years breaking them also. Dont beat yourself up, every day is a battle, some days you win and some days you lose. Stay strong and stay positive.
  6. The short answer is yes, it does get better with time.
  7. Somebody needs to Turn off the TV and stop watching Fox "NEWS" ....... Sucks that this post has been tainted with negative post....
  8. I like Dr Fegelman and i prefer him over other surgeons because he is the chief surgeon at Jewish hospital. He is a straight shooter and the care that i received from him and his team was great. as far as prices im not sure. insurance paid for most of the surgery and hospital. i paid 3000 dollars total after everything was said and done. I don't know doctor Curry so i cant speak to his merits but i will say that i would not want anyone else performing surgery on me except Dr. Fegelman. They were more worried about me fitting onto the operating table and being able to position the laparoscopic tools correctly than my height or weight. i am one of his largest patients.
  9. i dont know if i can consider myself a vet but i am 11 months out and 200 pounds down. i have normal meals but i do have to take it slowly. I can eat about half of a burger and a few fries. i still have the pressure feeling sometimes when eating but it does not hurt. the pressure i feel is the new way that i know im full and its time to stop. i stopped getting the pain portion about 5 months out. so yes it does get better. hopefully this helps.

  13. Good Luck and keep us posted !
  14. its time to quarantine yourself from your husband and anyone else who is sick. Being so close to surgery you do not want to have to push your date back because you are sick.
  15. your looking great, keep it up !
  16. So the only option they have is to convert you from the sleeve to a full bypass ? there are no other options ?
  17. I work in an IT call center. Larping is a common practice here. Nothing to be ashamed of , embrace you geekness.
  18. it sounds like it could be a stomach virus. If the vomiting and diarrhea does not stop go to the ER. Dehydration comes quick when you have the sleeve.
  19. First things first, Its always better to get out your frustration than to hold it in. I can definitely relate to the pain. I have been having ongoing back and nerve pain for the last 2 years. one of the reasons i had this surgery was to help relieve some of the pressure on the nerves in my back. My pain is more manageable now and i don't have to take heavy duty pain killers like i used to. i really hate taking vicodin, celebrex, tramadol and muscle relaxers , they only take the edge off the pain a little. These drugs only treat the symptoms and not the actual problem. i was also scared to get into the pool . i was afraid of having my back spasm up while in the water so i have avoided pools. now that i am down about 200 pounds i am more confident to get into the water. Dont worry about the stall, we all have them. Sometimes when you stall you have to go back to the basics to get a jump start in the weight loss. Try LilMissDiva 's boot camp to help break the stall. Good luck and stay positive !
  20. Congrats keep up the good work.
  21. Try experimenting with the temperature of the liquids you drink. some people do better with cold drinks and some with warmer drinks.
  22. good luck and keep us posted !
  23. NDN is right. i guess it would be considered fraudulent. so i guess you got to eat up. 14 pounds is not to bad though so you could lose that easy after surgery.
  24. ankle weights sound like a better option. good luck!
