  1. OH!! HIGH FIVE!!! I just conquered THAT demon recently!!
  2. oohhhh ok. If English is not your first language, you are doing pretty well! I could not text in another language
  3. How do you think this would go over with the Unjury unflavored protein? Some of those flavored whey protein isolates make we wanna yarg... anyone tried the unflavored?
  4. Sallynew, I think there may be a language barrier issue? I took Calitrells answer as soft, just asking a question about your age. I think i remember from one of your other posts that you are not in the U.S., is that correct? We are just curious about you
  5. maybe try some softer Proteins, like Beans or eggs, and you can add some low fat cheese to those for added Protein. Greek yogurt is also high in protein as well as low carb yogurts. Always eat protein and veggies before you get into the carbohydrates like toast and biscuits. I'd say mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes or even butternut squash or spaghetti squash would be a better option if you want some carbs that sit well in your stomach. You can put a dab of light butter and sea salt. Very good.
  6. Chicken is notoriously hard to digest early on. Even 6 weeks out. Some fish will give you problems too. Just wait a while and try it again in a week or two. Sometimes it just takes time for certain foods.
  7. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Don't do it girl. You're off the junk, stay off. Aside from the differing opinions of various surgeons-some say it will stretch your sleeve slowly over time (like mine) and some say it doesn't at all. ( I am NOT going to take that chance under any circumstances!)- aside from that- That crap is no earthly good for you. The phosphorus acid will rot your guts and the sweeteners still contribute to weight gain like real sugar. It's just not a nutritionally sound decision. Try to replace that craving with something else. I don't know what, but my opinion is don't do it!! (not that I feel strongly about it or anything
  8. HA!! YES, that was me!! I was feeling needy Thanks for indulging me!
  9. Odd presentation, but I suppose it could be. When I had GB pain, it was directly below my sternum and felt like i was being stabbed right there. The only thing that would stop it was throwing up. It was always brought on by the ingestion of any fat. (It was hit and miss until the end of the GB's life, then ANY fat would set it off.) I hope your tests confirm something if you go to the gastro.
  10. I want to go walking with my family and not have to turn back after 15 minutes or gripe the whole time that my back hurts. And I want to cross my legs. It's been YEARS.
  11. I just hit the quote button then delete the portion of the comment I don't want, leaving only the part i want to address. There might be an easier way, but I don't know.
  12. anorexic chics. that's awesome!
  13. I think you'll snap back like a rubber band!

My doc gave me an "owners manual" with some recipes in it. There is one for "super milk pudding." It is a very high protein dessert or 'protein power up' as he calls it. It is one package of sugar free jello pudding, and 16 oz. of 2% or skim evaporated milk. (NOT condensed sweetened). This packs a whollop of protein and give you a bit of extra calories, but I can only get 1/2 cup down. It says to use instant, but I like the SF cook and serve.
  15. i've done that about 5 times now. (still trying to slow down the pace) It sucks, but it IS wonderful!!
  16. You must absolutely want to beat your head on the wall!! I've been stalled for almost 2 weeks, and feeling VERY frustrated, but you must be doubly! Yikes. Maybe you're slowing your metabolism by getting so few calories? That's what My Fitness Pal keeps telling me, but I'm mortified when I get over 700 calories. I hope the floodgates break for you SOON!!!! Keep doing the good work you're doing and it will happen.
  17. I have a thought on this. I've told this to someone else one here as well. God's work was perfected in Adam and Eve. They sinned, plunging us into decay. The whole creation was plunged into death by their sin. If we were still perfect, we would not be able to gain weight. God has given us a plethora of resources to counteract the effects of sin on our bodies. He's given us doctors and medicines and surgery. You are trying to be a good steward of the body God has given you. If you had cancer, you'd get it cut out because it's killing you. Well...this isn't a lot different. Just something to think about.
  18. I have mixed feelings about this. I'm 42 and have been overweight by some degree my whole life, but severely for the last 10. --On one hand I regret wasting so many years of my life obsessing over food and weight loss. I feel robbed of my entire 30's and part of my 20's. I wish this procedure had been more prolific back then. I did NOT want any part of RNY. --On the other hand- I just don't know if I had the maturity and appreciation for what would be happening to me had I had the opportunity to have the surgery. I think I would have been left with the feeling of "what if I had JUST tried a little harder to diet and exercise?" Why did I do something so drastic? I know now that it did not work out that way, but how was I to know back then? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you shouldn't do it. I'm just sharing my own feelings on how I was at 20 years old. I would not have had the life experience to deal with the changes and what it all meant. You are a different person though. My PCP told me that once a person's BMI gets to 40, there is very little chance of ever being thin permanently without surgical intervention. SO..... this may spare you years of heartache. p.s. to this comment....I also had some eating disorders in my early 20's, so I would have blown this opportunity all to H#!! I've since dealt with those...
  19. Well, you're just too darned cute to NOT be happy for!!
  20. NO problem! I'm freaking out right there with ya!!
  21. Read this. You will feel MUCH better about your stall. I did! The Scale Is Broken! A Story About Stalls...
  22. I've only lost 40, but my clothing size is visibly going down. My overweight friend will NOT even talk about the surgery, or ask questions about any aspect of it. Most people that know will ask how I feel, what can I eat and when, how much have I lost, "hey you look great"...stuff like that. Not her. Not a peep. It's kinda weird. I'm a little hurt, but oh well. We still get along otherwise. I suppose I might feel the same way in her position. Well, I would be flat out jealous, to tell the truth.
  23. OH, if that's an aCTUAL Urban Rebounder for $40?? Holy smokes, that's a good deal!!! Mine was $119 five or six years ago!
  24. I've had one for years (it's got a high weight limit), and the video was very inspiring. My kids have been the main users of it. When I jump on it I feel like i'm going to barf. And my dog won't stop barking at me. But don't let that discourage you. A trampoline literally works every cell in your body! Now that's a good workout
