All Alone On My Big Day
Wow after reading a post here, I remembered that my DH took me to the hospital and left to go to work after my surgery and I really didn't have any visitors until my daughter picked me up after the second night. I had a lot of fun with my morphine pump, slept and didn't miss anyone. It was so nice to be left alone. Gosh how lucky was i....?

Ive Fallin And Cant Get Up
Those are your old ways of comforting yourself when feeling sad, bored, angry, devastated. It is the only way you took control of your life was with food that was comforting. Here's the news, you can choose to do something different. Instead of put that piece of candy in your mouth, call a friend, clean the house, knit, etc. Clean your house to where all those comfort foods are gone. And then give yourself a big hug and start detoxing your body from all that crazy sugar. You can do this. Perhaps now is the time to seek counseling. You have a significant loss coming up too which also contributes to resorting back to those comfort foods. This is part of our journey in changing our life styles.

Headaches
I get HA's when I don't get in enough water. So up your fluid intake just in case. I had to add Gatorade to my water to help get more in.

How Is "goal Weight" Determined?
My surgeon never gave me a goal weight. She told me to stop when I was down to 160 lbs. I kept going and am now between 144 to 147lbs and that is my personal goal as well....... I love my skinniness.....

Very Depressed
I would go in and meet with the specialists. Where is your A1c count at and can it be determined as diabetes? Have you had a sleep apnea test yet? Look for other comorbities that can get you qualified....... work the system......there is also great docs in Mexico that are reasonable and give A1 care to their patients.....

1 Year Out And More
Thank you for sharing this.... I am looking forward to hearing about the other part too..... I will be focusing on eating proteins from here on out to avoid regaining some of my weight..... I know that I am addicted to sugar so this info just reaffirms that avoiding all the foods like breads, pastas, rice, and sugars will help with keeping the weight off....... HUGS to you for sharing!

Panicking
Don't panic, just focus on getting your fluids in at this time. The weight will come off. This is the time that your stomach is still healing from the trauma and your your bodies energy is working on repairing the stomach. Not a big deal. The weight will melt off, it will take time. So take a deep breath and exhale a few times and walk as much as possible......

Constant Grazing...is It A Problem?
I agree with proud grammy. Stop the grazing and stop eating chocolate.....Chocolate is your enemy! I would also highly recommend that you increase your water intake. Sometimes when we don't get enough fluid in, it is mimicked by hunger. So increase your water intake. If you struggle with water, mix it with some gatorade or crystalite. Avoid sugars at all cost. Sugar is addicting, I am addicted to sugar and now I have to detox to get it out of my system. That helps stop the cravings......

Getting Sleeved In 4 Hrs. Scared To Death!
I agree with food not being your friend. I also agree that you need to wait longer than 3 days to return to work. I suspect your already sleeved by now and about to wake up. Now's the time to begin your new journey to skinniness! Yep, I said skinniness!! LOL Welcome......

I would definately focus on getting more fluids in, even if it's soup and broths. Fluids first then some protein shake. It really sucks to be dehydrated.......So at all cost, get your fluids in...........
