I just spoke with my surgeon coordinator and I was approved! My date is December 20th. That's not even the best part.... I only have to do a ONE DAY liquid diet. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY|!

In all seriousness, this has been so long and so fast at the same time. I started back in 2011 with employer insurance that I had at that time and ended up leaving that job. Started over with the job I have now doing the same hoops that BCBS has you jump through:

6 month supervised diet

2 year history of obesity

Nutrition consult

Psych evaluation

Waiting patiently or not so patiently in my case (I called BCBS everyday, It only took a week mind you)

And now.... I will be sleeved on DECEMBER 20th!

your hoops are very similar to what I had to go through as well. Also no liquid diet except the day before surgery. My Dr. said it would just "piss me off" any way (his words).
