  1. It's the same for me and I know its normal..but yes its very very annoying! I have people asking me all the time how much I've lost and all I can say is that I've only lost inches because I exercise everyday...the weight really hasn't come off and its been almost 2 months since my surgery. I've had one fill, and it didn't do anything...I still have no restriction. My next fill isn't until April 5th. Originally my appointment was for the 12th but I told them I had to change it so that I could get in sooner! I cant wait until this next fill...but who knows if it's even gonna give me restriction...that's why they call this "bandster hell"...everybody keeps telling me that. You just have to have willpower right now I guess.

  2. Hey hun...I feel your pain...I am only a month out and haven't lost a thing... My fear is that I will end up not loosing much 6 months out...since I get my fills every month and have to wait another month to get my second one..didn't get any restriction from it either. What about just walking? You don't have to do vigorous exercise but if you just tried to walk for 30-60 minutes a day it may make a big difference. I think you've done great so far though ..think about it this way..at least your not a year out and have only lost 15 pounds! You really haven't done too bad..some ppl just loose wayyy faster than others...they are lucky...but I know we will get there. Good luck!

  3. I totally agree with you ...just today I was annoyed cuz I couldn't finish my food...but we need to get used to the fact that we can't eat that much anymore! I still make plates that have wayy too much food for me to finish. You are right though it shouldn't be something that annoys us if its going to make us loose the weight! This is why we did this! :)

  4. Hey loseit...I know you feel like you can eat again...I do too...but you might not be supposed to yet. Take out your packet from the dietition and read about when you are supposed to be on certain diets...because at 12 days I am thinking you should be on purreed or almost off of it? I just saw my doc today and since I get hunger pains he let me go to purrees early...cuz I am only one week out. I am assuming by next week I will be close to soft foods....so its possible that you are ready but you should double check.

  5. That is really awesome, very happy for ya! I was just banded on the 8th..it hasn't even been a week yet but I've lost 6 pounds. I seem to be loosing a pound a day! Just from this intense liquid diet of jello and broth! Pre-surgey I lost also...so far all together I've lost 33 pounds! I too am very happy I did this...although it is a struggle, and I am very sore still. I wonder if you won't even need fills? Some people don't have to I've heard. I hope I don't need to either! lol

  6. Mis73 I thought u said in another post that Medicaid wasn't covering it anymore? Now you HAVE Medicare? Hmmmm....anyway, I have Medicaid and live in Connecticut and I had to do the 6 month weigh ins ....all in all everything took me almost a year...I had to do many many tests as well. Dietitian wasn't covered though I had to pay for that. It took less than a week for me to get approved...and I'm now scheduled for February 8th!! wink.gifBut I am glad that it took as long as it did, because it gave me more time to think about this and research and now I'm more ready than I ever was...and have been exercising and lost weight too! !

  7. It depends on the doctor. My doctor told me I had to loose 50 pounds until they would consider giving me surgery. I ended up loosing almost 30 and I have a surgery date now. Some just want to see that you can do it ...because of what the follow up entails. But others on here don't have to loose anything! I've heard of ppl having to loose a lot, a little (like 5 pounds) or none at all! So you will have to ask your doc and find out!

  8. You don't need to wait 6 months for your insurance? I know you are excited but don't count on it all happening too quickly. I had many, many bumps in the road...Its been over a year now for me getting everything together and I finally just now am only waiting on approval cuz I got everything done! Good luck to you!
