  1. My first band was in August 03 right before the kids went back to school. I was re-banded in March 05 due to a leaky/faulty band. So for your poll I'll pick August. Now if you ask me when I plan to have PS, I'd say Fall so I have all Winter to heal.
  2. Doesn't look good to me either, I've been thinking about you and you've got me worried. Please consult the doctor again.
  3. I'm divorced but now in a long term relationship 10 years now and we've been engaged for 4 years and have a date set for 7/7/07. I don't know how to vote
  4. I was fishing for hours on the Feather river by Mt. Lassen when an Osprey dove down in front of me, caught a fish, pumped his wings hard to get up and out of the water. It finaly claimed about 30 ft above the water when a Eagle swooped down and stold his fish.Thought I was watching TV, it was awazing....I never caught a single fish that weekend.
  5. Holly Sh*t Kel I'm speech-less So Beautiful
  6. My sister would say "Un-F*ck you cause F*ck you too nice"
  7. If you don't drink with a meal...you might be a bandster. Tight hoo hoo's!
  8. Hi Bright, Missed you! I had colitus long before banding which have alot of the same symtoms, but have had my colon removed. I do have a reseviour, reconstrurted colon not the bag that's common with colon removals.I offen feel the differences in foods, dairy and even orange juice. I don't have the common digestion like most, but have noticed a big difference post banding. reasearch also shows if you work out, food go's through you faster. I'm not much help, I guess i'm comparing. Hope you feel better soon.
  9. "Lots of hard work with some great tools" tools can be excersize gear, band....
  10. Hi Trish, Yes my leak was in a kink in the tubing. I’ve read this thread over and the open sore thread. And I’ve got questions. How did your doctor know the port was leaking to be re-placed? Did you have a leak check under fluoroscopy? That’s the only real way to see the leak and know where it is. I remember being filled with over 7cc’s and no restriction. That’s when my doctor put the contrast in and we could see the leak under fluoroscopy and knew exactly where it was. I believe I read that part of your tubing was replaced along with the port. When they did that with me it didn’t work. The part they sew together with a sleeve broke apart. This whole infection bothers me; it could travel to your band. And why the waiting to get re-banded? Your band doc should be on this and get you fixed up ASAP. I know its hard traveling; I was going back and forth to Mexico and had to arrange for extra child care. Hopeing the best for you.
  11. Trish, Sorry I'm just seeing this post for the first time. Jim and Trish I had my band replace a year ago and I'm down another 28 lbs. (that's what it's all about). The replacement was easier than the first banding. I was fortunate to have Dr. Sanchez who replaced it for free charging CJ medical, the makers of the AMI swedish band, due to it was faulty. I now have an Inamed band with only one fill (1.3cc). I did go through a leak repair prior to replacement but it didn't work. I'm so glad I was re-banded. the worries and fustration of a leaky band or tubing is depressing. I will add if I ever had to have my band removed without the option of re-banding, I would have the gastric sleeve proceedure. The fear of gaining all my weight back would be devistating. A very hard choice. Best of luck, your in my thoughts.

  16. I bow down to you. ever since I met you, I knew you would succeed. Even though you were bigger than me at the time, I knew you would pass me up. You have drive and a wonderful personality. We all have that one thing in common, The band changed our lives. sending love and kisses
  17. That's pretty gross. My freind talked me into going golfing with her, said I could drive the cart. We had just had clamchowder. Here I was about the fourth hole and knew it wasn't going to stay down. I just had to let it blow. We drove off to the next hole, I was relieved that nobody saw it happen. I looked back to see a pile of squirrels in it.....
  18. Your better off getting a passport! My first trip to Mex I took my birth cert and almost didn't get on the plane. I had to have an emergency afidavid (to prove that the birth cert was really me) by a notery right at the airport that cost me $20 cash.
  19. I'm 5'5. Started at 18 pants, 3X top. I'm now in 10 pants and Lrg/XL top. I credit my legs to all the life-cycling, but I have that muffin middle look, rolls over the waist-band.
  20. :happybday2: :happybday:
  21. Vent ON! I used low interrest credit cards to get my band, It took a year to pay off but in that year I began to live again. Before banding I was a bottom-less pit. I NEVER felt full. Now it's about 1 cup of anything solid (chewed very well) and I'm full.
  22. Welcome back Sheryl The band will always be there for you.
  23. Boys....they take time. No multi-tasking. I've been reading this thread off and on for days...don't have anything to offer, I'm just glad my 4 year old is completly trained and wiping his own...s I have used Disneyland as a bribe, shame on me. It's so cute when he comes out of the bathroom proclaiming "we're going to Disneyland" My DD was trained at 2. It's just got to be boys...
