Amy, Ann Marie Tiesi is not a coordinator for a specific doctor. She's a recruiter. If you get sucked in by her all she does is set you up with one of a hand full of doctors that will work with her, she gets the money from you, or has you send it somewhere, keeps her cut, then sends you to a doctor, never to hear from her again. I know first hand Dr. Sanchez will not use/work with her. Too many complaints, You just mention her name to Judy or Alma...the stories I've heard can not be repeated. ready4achange is Dr. Sanchez's personnal web sight, and he has an excellent crew that work only for him...You pay him, he pays his people.

I have an Inamed 9.75. My first fill was 1.3cc and I still feel restriction 10 months later. We are all so different, take it slow if you can. If you have a plan for free fills for the 1st year...you can always go get more.

Both times when I was at the Santa Engracia Hospital, which is pretty state of the art, they only wraped my legs with large ace type rolls. Now I've had those legs compressing "hose" that inflate/pump air every so many seconds (don't know if that's the same thing) but not with Dr. Sanchez's crew. I guess I missed something, I thought you were getting a TT/lift first than banded in a few months? Will you be getting this all done within a week or something?

As much as $2,000 sorry in my case. She's just a recruiter, that's all.

Love it! I do avoid the rice and seaweed (unless it's paper seaweed) but I only manage to get about 5 pieces down. It's a ritual...always warm tea first.

I set my own goals. My original goal was 144, exactly 100 lbs. down from on the day I was banded. I knew it was unrealistic so I changed it to 157 soon after. I must add it gets harder to lose when your close to goal.

Just want to say, Congratulations Alice! I'm glad you've spoken highly of Dr. Cardenas, I'v seen some of his work and it's all been great. I was also banded by Dr. Sanchez and have got to know Monterrey fairly good since I've been there 3 times. It's a great City with lots of loving/caring people. I look forward to seeing Dr. Cardenas someday....I'm saving my money.

I forgot about this Journal. Took paxil for 3 weeks then decided it wasn't for me. Now I take Sunshine! Been planting and fighting the deer off, Getting out of the house and outside has kept me smiling. The boat is running great, will be on the water every weedend and the summer is booking up!

There are good and bad everywhere! I had a doctor’s request fax to me and went to a local lab for blood work that was sent directly to Dr. Sanchez 2 weeks before I arrived in Mexico. I won’t get into the great staff, modern hospital and care I received in Mexico, It was all top notch. When I had complications, Dr. Sanchez had me come back to Mexico and I was re-banded for FREE. He is a phone call away.

If you’re determined you can lose more than 50%. I started at 244 and am currently at 161. It has taken almost 3 years to get this far and the last 5 months it’s only been 2 lbs down per month, but I’m happy it’s not going up. Yes I get hungry but you fill up fast, feel full and can’t eat much. You do have to make good healthy food choices. and have optimum restriction. Lastly I think age has a lot to do with stats and how fast the weight can come off, it’s good to be realistic. Welcome to LBT and good luck.

Susan scares me. I can't stand the "Holy than thou" crap and my way is the right way...Please tell it like it is. All weekend I've been in the back yard with a 2 piece but never in public. I've got so much hanging skin on my belly. I LOVE my tankini's and boy shorts!

I'm less than 5 pounds to goal, and like Babs I'm almost 3 years out. Babs has come a loooong way. I will never have my band removed unless I have to. I'm a size 10 and some 8's and lovin it. I'll be your most positive supporter.
