1-16-06 Had some blood work done today, checking hormone, colestrol, tyroid...I told the doc about my visit with the shrink, he suggested Paxil. Tonight I'll start the stuff and see how it go's

Be careful sweet Vera with the Paxil,

Paxil is what led to my demise of weight gain. I gained 65 lbs in 1.5 yrs. It slows down your metabolic rate to almost zero..however the stuff works for the mental part of it all ...I do not want to discourage you ,but just know there are other meds out there that dont have the side affect of so much weight gain and have the same affect on the mental part of it

The fisrt person I thought of was you cause I knew you took it. What was explained to me was...there's 3 types of anti-depres. Paxil is in the same family of Prozac, Zolof and Exolex?(spel), Paxil will help with sleeping. This is a trial. I also am having my Hormone levels checked, my shrink thinks I'm in pre/mentopause...

I can't remember, I don't want people over, I don't want to do about anything, I wake up at 2 and can't get back to sleep till 4 then I've got to get up and I don't what to, plus I cry for no reason.

If there's something wrong with me that can be helped with meds, I'm willing to try.

I do believe there may be some hormonal thing going on as well, so I'm waiting on test results.

1-18-06 Update, I took 1 12.5mg Paxil last night and woke up dizzy, chills, backache, headache and just all around weird. I thought it might pass…Not. Called the doctor he said this is the first time he’s heard of my problems and of course don’t take anymore, he offered other meds but when I asked what he recommend, he said lets wait for your test results and to talk to the shrink. Which we should have done anyway.

1/21/06 It wasn't the Paxil, I've got the full blown FLU. I'm really sick, no energy, backache, dizzy....

I forgot about this Journal. Took paxil for 3 weeks then decided it wasn't for me. Now I take Sunshine!

Been planting and fighting the deer off, Getting out of the house and outside has kept me smiling.

The boat is running great, will be on the water every weedend and the summer is booking up!
