  1. This is not like getting a liposuction where you loose on different regions (and then it comes back worst). However people started telling me my face looked a lot more thin, but I noticed clothes fitted a lot better even on my first week out. I'm on my 7th week out and I have gone from 253 to 210.. VERY HAPPY with my sleeve! Take care!
  2. How much is too much pork rinds? I ate a whole 'small' bag... I feel pretty guilty :001_rolleyes:
  3. Would it be ok if I started jogging at 4 weeks out?
  4. All the exercise and weight-loss will give you a better high than weed
  5. OMG! When can I eat this? After mushies, soft foods?
  6. Hey Paul! I started walking about 3 hours after I woke up from the anesthesia; I walked about 15 minutes twice that same day. Three days later I started walking about two miles everyday since then.
  7. Hey Champ, did your wife get an upper GI the day after she got sleeved??
  8. Wow, thanks everyone!! Immore, on surgery day I was at 253. Today I am at 227.. Thats about 26 pounds
  9. I feel paranoid its gonna make me gain weight or stall.. Should I be worried?
  10. Today is my day 16 post op. Is it ok to eat half of a small chili from Wendy's?? i just did and I don't know if I should feel guilty. I feel pretty stuffed though
  11. I'm consuming about 300 calories daily. I start mushies on Wednesday
  12. Hi everyone! For those who don't know me, I got sleeved on April 28 at Florida Medical Center @ Ft. Lauderdale. My doctor never made me do a pre-op diet. On the day of surgery, I was on my highest weight which was 253.. My height is 5'7.. 12 days out and I have already lost 24 lb.. My weight this morning was 229! First two days were pretty hardcore, my abdominal area hurt a lot more than I thought it would. I felt very bloated. I started walking about three hours after I got out of surgery. I barely could take deep breathes or cough because my left side hurt too much. Third day, no pain at all.. maybe a little around the incisions. Now I'm feeling great! I have been following my post-op diet very strictly though. Getting my 64 oz of Water down, consuming 70-80 grams of Protein (I use Isopure, which is carb free). I am trying to avoid carbs as much as possible. At most, I am probably consuming about 10 grams of carbs per day. On the first 8 days I was walking around two miles everyday.. Lately I've been feeling a bit weak,, but besides that I am feeling AWESOME! Clothes isn't tight anymore:001_cool: I already know that this is the best decision I have made.. I regret not having it done before. Feel free to ask anything and thanks for reading!
  13. You are SOO gonna prove that Doctor wrong! Congrats!!
  14. Haven't had surgery yet, but I can tell you I already miss cheesecake! I'm in a pre-op diet

  17. Hey Swiftflow, I sleep with a bottle of diet coke beside my bed every night. BTW, you and I will be having surgery on the same date! The 28th is a Wednesday if I'm not mistaking. Mine will be taking place in Florida.. We should keep in touch.. Take care bro
  18. Hi! My doctor instructed me not to take any anti-inflamatory meds such as advil pre and postop. I suffer a lot from allergies and every now and then and I take benadryl. Anybody knows if benadryl could affect anesthesia or the surgery? My surgery is on the 25th of april. Thanks!
  19. Hey everybody! I dont mean to hi-jack your thread but our surgery dates are really close. Very very excited! Excuse my english as it isn't my main language. Where will your surgery take place? Thanks and nice meating ya!
  20. Thanks everyone! I love everybody's attitude on this forum. My dad himself is a Surgeon, but not bariatric though. I am one year away of being an intern in the hospital and do aspire of becoming a Surgeon as well. Can't wait to get my sleeve :frown1:
  21. Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself since this is my first time here. My name is Victor and I am 24 years old. I am currently in Med School (studying abroad). And I have been dealing with weight issues all my life. Ever since I could remember I've been on and off diets. I have never reached my "ideal" weight. With that said, I will be getting a VSG on April due to my class schedule (wouldn't mind getting it tomorrow but I have to wait till my vacations). The surgery will be done in Florida. I measure 5'7 and my weigh in at 235; that gives me a BMI of 36.8 What should I expect after being sleeved? I am very anxious.. Never been "thin" in my life. If diet and exercise is in check, can I loose 50 lbs by December? Thanks in advance for you support! This forum is very motivating!
