I also havenot had any major weight loss and I can eat what I want. I will not wait for satiety before I stop and decide that I am going to loose weight.. I know that I need to exercise and watch what I eat and I am doing that now. This is week 6 for me so it is now time to start big time and do what i need to do. Yes, I can eat every thing too... like you can, but I have learned that in moderation, every thing is ok so I eat a bite, and that satisfies my desire to eat it. this was major surgery.. we have a goal. we have a tool and I am using it to my fullest advantage..

I got so mad about being hungry today that I drank some mountain dew! that was a no no and I will not do it again but every one in our early stage is rebelling.. Our body just simply doe snot like how it is being treated! How dare we cut out all the good sugary foods and instead feed it grits! I am on week 5 now and tommorrow I will be on real food. I have lost 8 pounds- that is it but tell ya, I feel great.. More me, and I have lost a few inches too.. But stay postive because slow and steady is how we want it to go..

I also have thyroid issues and my dr has not indicated any concerns regarding me not being able to loose my weight because of it. You have done GREAT// Alot better than me.

wow. what a story.. make sure you keep a copy of this with you to remind u of how far u have come and what is in store for u in the days ahead..

Hey , it is an education issue. My 14 year old daughter asked me the night before surgery if I would loose all the weight before I lett the hospital. well, since I was only there like 6 hours, noooooo..lol.. enjoy the laughs.. later on in the journey we may cry.. The 0 is not a size we are uncapble of either so down set your standards to low...just cause it may take awhile.. just saying..

It was kinda tough for me because I was pre op then and Christmas Red Velvet on my table the night before surgery IS NOT cool. But you r right.. we will make it.. together.

I am so hoping for results like yours. Yes the holidays are going to be tough... But I believe with determination we can do anyy thing that we want to do.. wwe did not take this long journey for nothing!! Has your pants size changed yet??

I started at 220 before my 6 month weight loss diet plan. Now 5 days pre op and I am at 202. The great liquid diet... ughhhh. it stinks but I will do what I have to do to get this weight off me so that I can enjoy life and my family more. I want to go hiking, walking, swimming, and to the beach. I want to have a new freedom that I have not felt in a long time. I want a two peice bikini and not think that I am the beach whale. I love your story and I hope that mine is easy but not too easy because easy is not as appreciated as hard work.

I highly suggest you look at Visalus Shakes. It is called Body by Vi. You can order it on the internet or find a local dealer. They taste good.. 50.00 for a two week supply in one bag. My pre op does not call for all liquid, just the post op.. I get banded 12/20/2011/ Can not wait. super excited.

I love grits. That is good to know that we can still eat t hose. I have not have surgery yet but I hope it comes soon.
