Is Tracy down from her High yet? LOL. Sitting here with wet hair. Just took my shower and now need to go dry my hair and put some socks on. My feet are cold. Long day for me today. I'm doing a double shift. The hospital was super busy last night which was good. It makes the time go by faster. We did have a good time but it was four hours before I was able to sit down for a minute. Then when I was getting ready to leave, there was a local church that was going around giving roses to all the patients and nurses, they even gave me one. It was their way of spreading holiday cheer. I'll check in soon.

Jenn, good luck with the snow. We ended up getting about 1/2 inch but now the winds are howling. It's 10 degrees with a windchill of -4. Looks like I'm not going anywhere for awhile. Maybe back to bed.

Well, the weather people got it wrong again. Never saw one flake. But it is very cold and it did sleet for a little while. They are still calling for it to snow over night so I guess we will see. Hubby told me last night that he had a toothache and wanted to know if I would call the Dentist. This morning as I was leaving for work, he once again asked if I would call the Dentist. I said I would when I got home because I didn't really think he would appreciate me calling at 6am. So I get off work at 9am, go to the store and on the way home I call and ask to get hubby in. If we can be there in 15 minutes, they can get us both in for a cleaning and to look at his tooth. Rush home to get him and back to the other side of town. Made it in time in the sleet and rain. Hubby has an abcessed tooth and needs to be on antibiotics and will have aroot canal next tuesday. I have not cavities but do have a filling that has to be replaced. So I get to go in next tuesday also. A fun day for both of us. NOT. Made a little pot of steak soup for dinner. Just need to cook the noodles and put it in one pot. It'll feel good with this cold weather going on here. Chat soon.

So far no snow but it looks like TracyKS is getting dumped on. There's about an hour drive between us and she ia a little more north than me. I have to work for 3 hours this morning and then off for the rest of the day. That's going to be a tough one. I'll need to find something to keep myself busy and away from the fridge. Think I'll head into the spare room and clean the closet out. All is quiet here, not sure if Sis and BIL came home last night, so news on if he broke his leg or not. Hope he is ok. Have a great day.

Wish I had the fireplace going. I went to Church class tonight and all went well. I was waiting for the kids to be picked up and thought I would give hubby a call. He answered but was all out of breath and said that he was helping to get BIL in the car. They think he broke his leg. My sis was taking a walk and BIL got on his bike and he must have hit a slick spot. So I get home and hubby said that it was his nub that they thought was broke. See, this is very serious stuff. He only has one leg. He was born with no bone in one leg and they amputated it just below the knew. So that part is what they are thinking is broken. He won't be able to put his artificial leg on. Now I'm just going to have to wait till they get back from the ER to find out what happened. Cold here, only 26 degrees. Supposed to snow starting around midnight but I think most of it is going to stay a little north of us. But I still have enough here to make another pot of good soup to keep us warm and we had firewood delivered on Saturday.

Brenda, Good Luck with getting you Band. I agree, it is the best present you can give yourself. Please keep us posted. Yes Tracy, you do smell it. And it was very good. However, I think next time I will leave the cabbage out. There would still be plenty of veggies in it. See you all tomorrow. Night.

I have a BIG pot of soup going on the stove. Several months ago, hubby and I were driving to the in-laws and we went by one of those little country stores and stopped by. They had a big display of plastic containers of soup mixes. I have never bought one before and decided to go ahead and try one. You simmer for an hour the contents and than add a few veggies and some beef. Boy, my house smells wonderful. Just hope the soup taste as good.

Years ago when my MIL was in the hospital. My 3 SIL's and I were in the hallway right outside of ICU. There was a window sill about a foot off the ground were you could sit. One day while we were waiting the 4 of us were sitting on the sill and it just cracked us up. Non of us were saying anything but our heads were in unisons(sp?) as people walked back and forth. We never made a comment about anyone, we just sat there for about a 1/2 hour watching people. Got up early and decided to go to the market. They are calling for snow tonight and again on Tuesday, so I thought I would avoid the rush. I got stuff to make a big pot of soup. Came home and fixed some sausage and an egg for my breakfast. The rest of the family is having donuts. :w00t: Got to get back to my laundry. I'll check in later.

Kat, I love little towns like that. When my sister used to live in Arkansas I liked going over to Eureka Springs at Christmas. It would always put you in a very good mood and bring out the spirit of the holiday in you. The luminaries at the college sounds lovely. They is a neighborhood a couple of miles from here and they do on a sunday night luminaries. The bad thing about going thru there is hubby drives to fast. LOL. I like to take my time so I can look in the windows and doors to see how people decorate their homes.

Finally I got to sleep for more than 4 hours and it felt good. I drank a hot cocoa and then headed to the gym to workout. Home now and going to get started on some housework. So far I have had a bowl of oatmeal. I'm really going to keep my eating under control. I'm very vulnerable right now and feel like I could eat a house. Hubby is bringing in wood for the fireplace and we are waiting for the guy to deliver wood. Said he would be out sometime today. Ane we need it. So very cold here and they are calling for snow I think tonight and also Monday night. Kat, When does Rick go for his biopsy? Jenn, I hope you have a great time tonight. Cindy, You have had a busy week. Sorry I missed your Birthday. Hope it and your anniversary were great.

Is that snow I see in Texas??? Home from a lovely evening. We went to Outback and had prime rib. Everything was really good but very salty. Looks like I will be taking a water pill in the morning. We then went on our yearly outing of driving down Chicago St. to see the Christmas light. It's a mile long drive of yard after yard decorated to the hilt. One section is all done in bible verse. Starting with Mary and Joseph looking for an Inn, all the way to him rising from the cave. It's so nice to see every year. It's also my first candy cane of the season. Have a great weekend and I will chat when I have the chance.

Quick post while the nephew is gone. He's been on the computer all morning. Applying for unemployment and making a resume. Also looking for jobs. Sis has him doing something right now, so I'm jumping at the chance to chat for a minute. I'm in a better mood today but still very easy to cry. The tears are right there. I have to bite my lip when talking to anyone or hearing anything. Today is actually Hubby and mine's 27th. wedding anniversary. We have a gift certificate for Outback Steakhouse so we are going there for dinner. Tracy, that is so sad about your Dr.s wife. How horrible. Reminded me of about 10 years ago. My Docter at the age of 41 passed awayfrom a heart attack. He was only 6 months older than me and just had a baby girl. It was such a shock. Later tonight I will sit down and send out emails. But in the mean time, I need to let you all know how much I really appreciate all of you. Thank you so much for being patient and caring and just being there when I need you. I truly appreciate all of you. Have a great evening.

Got my Doc report today. E-mail me if you want the details. But here is what I can tell you here. I have an appointment with a Pulmonologist Dec. 14th. I guess I will find out then what will all be involved with this. Not sure how they want to take care of it. When you lay your head down tonight can you keep me and my family in your prayers? I would greatly appreciate it. Now is the really hard part. I'm going to have Hubby put a lock on the refridgerator. I'm teetering between eating everything in sight to just not wanting to eat at all. Good thing I haven't started my holiday baking. Holly Crap. It would all be gone by now. Waiting is going to be tough.

Brrrrrrrrr. it's not supposed to get above freezing today. And without the extra insulation on me, I get cold and stay cold real fast. Looks like it will be a 4 layer day. LOL. Off to out monthly family breakfast. I really like to go to these. It's fun to see everyone and to get caught up on how everyone is doing. Then home to do stuff around here. Tonight is also the monthly Women's Ministry meeting and tonight is our Christmas party. We do an ornament exchange. I like doing that, even though we don't put a tree up. The last few years I have gotten ornaments that I have put in windows as decoration. And it's pot luck too. Still need to figure out what I'm going to take. Kat, Keeping Rick in my prayers. Irene, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Not a good time of the year to be sick and achy. Laura, Ghiradelli??? Oh yes. I remember when I would go to San Francisco on the weekends to visit my friend, we would always go to Ghiradelli Square. I loved it. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning. Sitting here waiting for hubby to get home from the gym. He woke me up to go with him, but I didn't sleep real good last night and decided not to go with him. But I have to get ready to go out anyway. We need to take the truck in to have some work done on it. Sometime today I will take a quick 20 minute nap. I just have so much on my mind. Like calling the Doc's office and seeing if I can get the results of the Cat-scan. I still have that hanging over my head. Cold here today. Only supposed to get up to 36 degrees. That means lots of layers for me. Did I mention that yesterday we got all the Christmas stuff out and I decorated the house. It looks so cute. We haven't decorated this soon in over 15 years. We usually wait till about 2 weeks before but the weather is turning cold and we wanted to get it done before we have to bundle up good to go out and do it. Have a great day.

Wish I was hibernating (lol). Just got back from taking nephew to the credit union to get the car taken care of. He told us he got fired from his job the other day. Well, at the CU the guy at the next window knows my nephew and says "Dude, I hear you quit Zarda's". My nephew says, "Yeah, it wasn't working out". I didn't even try talking to him right now, I'm not in the best frame of mind to do that. I'm just furious with him over so many things. My GrandNiece is supposed to come over tonight and go with me to the Mayor's Christmas tree lighting. It starts at 5:30. I hope we are there in time. Her mom is known for being late. Day 2 of trying to do the WW thing again. I haven't rejoined, I'm just trying to do the diet. So far so good. If I stay on track and make progress I just may join back up. However, I did check and it will be $39.00 a month. Yikes. I'll think about it. Think I'll take a little nappy.

I agree with Laura, ASAP anything with the IRS. About 15 years ago we had a discrepancy on our return. I contacted them immediately and they worked with us to get it resolved and worked out a payment plan. They knew we were good for it and was willing to take care of it. Home from work and getting groceries for my sister. Stopped by a friends house that is on the Christmas tour this year, she wanted someone to stop by to critic the decorations. I just love her home and now even more. it's soooo pretty. Now I have to go back into work. The other lady called and wanted to know if I could trade tonight for my Thursday night shift. That's fine with me. Thursday night is our Women's Ministry Christmas party and I didn't want to miss it. Sun is shining here but the winds are bitter. My knees are telling me that winter is here now.

Jenn, good luck on your first day at work. I hope everything goes easy for you and you have a great day. I'm getting ready for work. It's 28 degrees. After work I will head to the store and get stuff to start my WW diet today. I'm lookiing forward to it. Just need to get back into the habit of writing my food intake down. I've never been good at doing that. Kat, will you take pics of the stockings and post them. I would love to see what they end up looking like.

Laura, That story reminded me of the time my Grandfather who was around 70 at the time had suffered a stroke. My parents were out of state on vacation and by the time they could fly back home, they had taken my grandfather in and performed a circumcision on him. My mom was livid with them for taking liberties with a man who couldn't speak for himself. He didn't live much longer after that but could have done without the surgery.

Cindy, welcome back. Looks like you guys had a blast. I can't get over how much your daughter looks like you, lucky girl. Laura, I wish I had some good advice for you. I've never had to deal with a situation like that. Good Luck and I will send you good thoughts. Woke up early and my mind just started filling up with my to-do list, plus the fact that I have to work for 2 hours today. Ugh. Hubby said since the weather was supposed to be nice today that he would get the Christmas lights out. This is early for us. But I don't blame him for wanting to get it done. We used to cover the front of the house but as he has gotten old, we have scaled down. It's still very lovely. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Home from the cat-scan. I was suprised at how fast everything went. They had me checked in and to the radiology dept. We waited for about 10 minutes and they came and got me. Went in and laid down on the table. Didn't even need to put a gown on. I was in and out of the tube in less than 10 minutes. That fast. Now comes the hard part. Waiting. Not sure when I will hear anything. Hopefully it will be Monday afternoon. We took hubby's truck in to have them weld the tailpipe back on and it turns out to be more than that. $240.00 later. Merry Christmas. And we still have to see about getting the front end worked on. Came home and finally got something to eat. Hadn't eaten since last night at 8pm. So at 2pm I had a half of a BBQ sandwich. Weather is really nice here. 62 degrees. Sun is shining. I'll check in later.

Up early, but no shopping for me. I'm so over that. Several people that they interviewed on TV this morning said that the sales weren't worth it. They showed people in pop-up tents and sleeping bags. Crazy. Hubby and I will be headed out to the gym in about an hour. Then come home and I'll do some housework and laundry. I have my cat-scan at 1pm today. I can't eat or drink anything after 9:30, so hubby may be taking me out to lunch afterwards. lol. Just saw on TV that the Governors Mansion in Denver Colo. was TeePee'd. How funny. What a hoot.
