I actually spent hours in the spare room cleaning it up. OMG. I can not believe what a mess he left me. It was enough to make me want to cry. Well, it's all done and I've repaired what was broke, washed what need to be washed. Hubby even helped me rearrainge(sp?) the furniture. I really like it this way. So now I'm on to a nice quiet evening watching the snow fall.

It has started snowing again, so hubby started the fireplace. Looks like we will be staying home from the Hospital tonight.

Tracy, so sorry to hear about Nanny. I agree with you and the kids. No sense in keeping them if you are not able to give them you full attention and to keep them safe without hauling them back and forth. And my hubby was the same way. He didn't like coming home from a long days work and having someone else's kids in the house running amuk. lol. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get the house. Sounds like it would be a perfect plass for us to gather. Just have to get Jenn to fly to KC and she can ride the rest of the way with me and Janie. Hi Yorkie.

Good Morning Girls. I'm up a little early, I needed to go potty and just decided to stay up. Hubby and I are going to go workout anyway. Once again, it is bitterly cold and snow is on it's way. They are calling for friday morning to have wind chills 0f -30 degrees. Great, I have to work that morning. Hubby said that he would drive me and come and get me later in the afternoon. That way the car doesn't have to sit out there and I don't have to wait for it to warm up. He's so sweet. Jenn, I am so sorry to hear about your job. I'll keep my fingers crossed that something else comes your way soon. Hang in there. Tracy, how are things going with the kids? I'll check in soon.

Good news in our house today. Nephew announced that he was moving out. Said his dad said it was ok for him to move home till he leaves for the service. I'm sorry to see him go but I'm just not used to so much energy and drama. Plus I get my sewing room back. Kat, your MIL would not like having me for a DIL. I think at some point I would have to have a nice chat with her. Explain to her that she is a big girl and can take care of herself. That she isn't ready for assisted living. Oh wait a minute. I just had that talk with my sis the other day. But seriously, it sounds like she is a big drain. I'm sure she is a delightful person and for the most part a lot of fun to have around, just very draining. God bless her. Cindy, I have never watched BL. I might give it a try tonight and see what it is all about. Michelle, Glad you checked in. I was missing you. I hope you keep your sanity thru the next few months. I worked for the IRS for a few years and know wht it's like. CRAZY. I made a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. I'll probably make some grilled cheese to go with it. I've had another very good day of eating. And I've done really good at my water intake. Michelle, Cindy, Irene, Kelly and Laura. If there is any chance that we will get together for a weekend, we will keep you posted. Maybe you guys can make it also.

Boy, Tracy does have her hands full. Good Luck. Home from work. And I'm glad. So cold out there. I sound like a broken record but it's only going to get worse in the next few days. At 1pm today I have a dentist appointment. I shouldn't be there long. Than I'm going to have to stop and put gas in the van. I have half a tank but they are calling for 3-6 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon. Don't want to get caught. Younger sis just came up and told me that she is going to sound like our older sis and said, "I hurt all over". :smile2: Going to the garage now. I need to find what I did with that little lamp that sits on the piano. Maybe I packed it with the christmas stuff. LOL. I miss it and it's dark in here at night. I'm afraid I might trip over one of the kitties. BBL.

Kat, next sept we will be going to Calif. for a wedding, if money allows us. We thought about flying but I told hubby that there is a lot that I want to do if we make this trip and would prefer if we took the van. I have a friend that has a winter place in Pheonix and they will be there at that time. So that is one stop. There's a little town in New Mexico that I would also like to stop at and hopefully spend at least one night there. (hint, hint). And just right outside of Dallas is another place I hope to stop by. But if you will be around SA in the spring I will try and see if I can get away for a couple of days. It all depends on the money situation. I have had a really excellent eating day. So tonight I think I will make myself a salad and maybe put some tuna in it. I need to get in a little more protein. I'm only up to about 50 grams right now. Calorie wise I'm at around 1200. And doing good on my water also. They have announced that schools will be closed for tomorrow. It's just to bitter out there. And it's only gonna get worse as the week goes on. Sis was in her nice warm apartment when I got there and she grabbed a coat and swung it over her shoulders. I tried to tell her how cold it was. I ever grabbed her scarf. Nope she wasn't going to listen to me. I got her in the car and than got in and she was shivering and telling me how the cold was making her hurt all over. Duh. I had to bite my tongue and not go into the fact that I had gone to work at 6am when it was only 1 degree and that I had to drive over to her place and find a parking spot. She never thinks about how we are inconvienced by having to do so much for her. It's just easier to not say anything to her. OMG, it is so cold out and they are now showing that the "Boat Show" is going to be this weekend. Spring is on the way. But it might take till July for the pool to thaw out enough for us to go swimming in. LOL.

I agree about joining the service. I had an Uncle that was a Judge and he gave a lot of the teens a choice of jail time or service. The few that I have talked to that joined the service said that they owed their lives to my Uncle for making them choose. I'm hoping that this will be his turning point but it also scares me that what is going on in this world right now that he will be shipped out. I realize that he could be sent but that he could also stay state side. It's just very scary. A lot of times when I hear people go on and on about their problems, I just smile and think to myself that they wouldn't last a day in my shoes. But you know what? I may not last a day in their shoes. I know that I have a lot to deal with but I am also one of the luckiest people in the world. My life could be so much worse than what I deal with. Having 2 sisters that drain me could be worse. I could not have them or they could be even harder on me. I have a husband that would walk to the ends of the earth for me. I see daily on his face how much he loves me and is very proud of me. I just hope I never take advantage of that. But when my older sis goes on and on about her problems and how great her kids are and so on and so on, I want to scream. You guys would have a fit if I told you all her kids do. We keep a lot from her because she mentally could not handle it. The only time I ever tell her that I'm sick is when I have a cold and she can hear it. It's just easier to handle her that way. Let her go on believing that life is ok. We have not been over the freezing mark in at least a week. Last night on the news they said it might be at least 10 days before we get over 30. Some nights we will be in the minus degrees. And now we have another snow storm coming Wednesday. We shoveled twice today from the snow fall last night. This has been a hard winter. I don't ever remember it being this harsh. I know we have had the cold but this is a lot of snow to go with it. Tomorrow I'm going to start trying real hard to tell myself "No". No more snackiing, no more licking the spoon, no more just a taste. It has got to stop. I need to get back to eating correctly and to drinking my water. The other day I realized that I was so far behind in my water intake. Probably why I'm having the bathrom problems again. I'm going to try to be a little harder on myself. I'm also going to try to watch my workouts better. Not slack so much on the machines. Give it a little more effort. I'll check in tomorrow. I have a little bit of a busy day. Sis needs some attention. Have a good one.

Well, the nephew is back. So far ok. He did help clean the drive and brought in a load of wood. We had a long talk about him joining the Navy. Looks like he is going to do it. Big step for him.

Jenn, your friend sounds like my sister. It's all me and no one else. Never give a thought as to what she can do for you. Not that she could do alot for us but for example. She has a home health nurse that comes and hepls her around the apartment. Most of this stuff she can do herself, she just thinks it hurts to much to do it. So her nurse was a little under the weather last week, she calls my younger sis and has her come over and get 4 loads of laundry to do over her at my house. I don't mind but why can't she do her own. So I called her and asked if she was physically incapable of doing her own laundry. "Well, no. I just thought you guys wouldn't mind doing it for me". My way of thinking is this--While I do your laundry, why don't you shovel the snow out of my driveway so we can come over and get your laundry. I would never say that to her but she is an, it's all me type of person. We haven't told her what is going on with my lung yet. We are waiting to get all the reports in and to find out what my treatment will be. No sense in having her asking tons of questions right now when we don't know. It just takes alot out of me to not yell at her and tell her I have my own problems. Her clean underwear is not high on my list. Sorry for the rant.

Well, I did it. I got on the scale this morning. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm up 3 pounds. I was really thnking it was going to be at least ten. So this is where my starting point is for the new year. Still tying to decide about joining WW this week. I really need to get back to eating healthy again. I'm sure that will help me get back to losing again. The gym that hubby and I belong to is having a winter weight loss challenge. $25.00 to join and after 50 days, the winner takes all. Looks like I'm gonna join that one. LOL. It snowed again this morning. We will proabably wait till about noon before we go out and shovel again. We already have so much snow everywhere. And now they are calling for a big snow storm on Wed. Looks like I will have to get sis out tomoorw and take her to the store. Need to get her stocked up. Kat, I to have lost something. I clear the piano off and put all my snowman on there. Well, we keep a real pretty blue lamp there that has a little night light in it. It helps keep light in the living room at night. So I took it down and now can not find where I have put that darn thing. It's not real small, I should be able to see it anywhere. Just can't figure out where that might be. Hubby and I have been doing alot of that where you walk into a room and than you can't remember why you went in there. We must be oxygen deprived or something. Maybe the fireplace going 24 hours is taking a toll on our brains. I hate it because he laughs at me when I just stand there trying to remember what I'm there for. I made a big crockpot full of chili yesterday. That will be what we are having again today. My nephew has been gone for 2 weeks. He has been staying over at his brother's house feed the kitties while they are gone. So tonight he will be back here again. It's been a nice quiet 2 weeks and I'm not looking forward to him being here again. Sorry if that sounds awful. I just have had enough of the lying and attitude. So hubby and I have decided to tell him that he has 2 weeks to find a job or he needs to move back to his dad's and stepmoms. He's such a good kid but addiction has taken a toll on all of us. He needs to know that he doesn't get to just slide thru life. I wish it was that easy I'll check in soon. Hope all of you survived your holidays.

Happy New Year's Eve. Tracy, You guys be very careful driving and having fun tonight. As for me and Hubby, we will probably be in bed fast asleep by midnight. We might wake up long enough to hear all the fireworks and guns going off. Speaking of hubby, he is busy getting the fireplace going right now. He's such a good man. Think I will make a big pot of cheesy potato soup. Have a great day and I'll check in soon.

Resolutions sound good, but rather on focusing on someone else special--focus on you being special to yourself. Then and only then will you be ready for someone else to appreciate you!!! I like that and think that is what I'm gonna do.

Jenn, let's throw a party for New Year's right here. Hubby and I haven't celebrated the new year in years. We are just party poopers. He's out by 10 and I can usually make it till 11. We go to bed and than wake up around midnight because of all the guns and fireworks going off, than right back to sleep. If you plan on being here I will do the same. I'll have a Margie set up for both of us any anyone else who wants to join.

Mine went right to my hips. Tracy, so sorry to hear about Nanny. What a lucky person you are to have had her in your life. Enjoy what little time there is left. Shower her with hugs and touches, she will know. I took the last of the cookies over to my sister's apartment buildiing. She will put them in the community room for all to share. The rest of the candy and junk went downstairs to my BIL. He can use it more than me. However, while I was down there and going thru the freezer I found a tub of gooey chocolate brownie ice cream. Guess I need to put the rest of it in my sisters freezer. Maybe.

Bitterly cold out this morning and I have to get out in it. Brrrrrr. Jenn, if I was there we would definately for out for Margie's. Just sit and have a ball. Sometimes, that is all I need to get my head back. Just having a good talk with a friend. My neighbor and I will do that occasionaly and it does me a world of good. I'm really thinking about joining WW's again. Maybe it will help me get back to eating healthy. The last 3-4 weeks have been nothing but crap eating. I hardly get in veggies or even get my protein that I need. I bet I get only about 20-25 grams of protein a day. I also need to step up on my water intake again. It's hard for me to do that during the winter time. I'll check in later, off to work.

Kat, good luck with the cake and with the party. I hope she likes the bracelet. Laura, that is great about your crocheting. Must make you feel good about doing it. We took our cat Tippy to the vets today. She is having a reaction to some pain meds she took. Well, $185.00 and the Doc said it might all be in her head. "WTF". Oh, hubby was mad. So he gave us some more pain meds without the opiate in it. Why is she taking more pain meds I ask, he said she might still have some irritaion going on in the bladder that could be causing her discomfort. Hubby says if she doesn't get better that he will take her and have her tail cut off, than she won't be so afraid of it anymore. Poor thing. We keep her covered up and that keeps her calmed down. I do have a great hubby. It kinda freaks me out though. I guess I just have a hard time still after all these years thinking that someone could love me so much that they would do something like get out of bed in the morning to take me to work so I won't have to be in a cold vehicle. But I know I would deffinately do it for him if he asked. He's a keeper.
