Good Weds Morn, Vi's~~ Another busy day... Book Fair, work, errands, activities... + getting dh packed up to go out of town ('til Sun night) for work... so I'll be "single mom'ing" it again for a few days... Make it a good one, girlies!!

:tongue2:Congratulations Judy & Bob -- new Grandparents!! (& I think that @ 10lbs 6 oz, pitocin had NOTHING to do w/the C-section! Wowza, that's a BIG BOY!) (Just think... a mere 8 months or so ago, Judy & Kris were parasailing!! Time flies!...) I'm so happy for your family, Judy!!

I heard on the news that today's "Square Root" day... 3/3/09... get it? The next one will be 4/4/16, etc... It happens I think they said 9 times a century?? (I'm not so good w/the math, so I won't swear to that...) Drank a coffee & now it feels like it's burning a hole in my tummy... ow... + sinus pain.... wah wah... poor poor pitiful me... & ds, too... we're both pounding the "Extreme Sinus Pain" tylenols!! I think I'm going to go sneak a little nap... I've got dinner (ribs) slow-cooking in the oven... I'm so sneaky!! Laura... what's your actual "due" date??

Look at the bright side, Pam... you're still up $400! That's a LOT of margi's!! It's a very sunny day here today, which is nice for a change!... so I moved my workspace out of the office into the kitchen, which is flooded w/light right now. I feel like a cat basking in the sunshine... but I'm being productive, as well! I've got to take the little blessings where I can!! Life is good.

Good Tuesday Morn, Vi's~~ Grand Baby Day for Judy!! How exciting!! Regular day here today. Work, PTA, Book Fair, dd's getting a ct scan of her sinuses... just another day in paradise! Make it a good one, V's!

Sad is different than mad... I don't think I'd be MAD at anyone... but I would be sad... but I'd get over it... eventually... I suppose...

Actually, even if dh DID lose his job, I'd probably STILL come because gosh darn it I'd NEED to get away, then!!

Is the market tanking again?? I try not to keep up w/all that as all it does is give me ulcers & keeps me from sleeping @ night. I'm happy in my land of denial... I'm skittish about finances BUT... (and I have a BIG but...) I've been saving for this trip AND it's pretty much the only thing I'll be doing JUST FOR ME all year so I'm 100% committed to going. The only way I'd back out is if dh lost his job (not expecting him to, but in today's world, it's always a possibility). Otherwise, I'm there. (Too funny on the heals of the e-mail I sent today, too, huh? Oh well... like I said, I'm a day dreamer...)

No school! :hurray: Judy, I remembered about the tabloids, but not the tv shows... you never cease to amaze! :party: Back to work... just cuz' the kids have off doesn't mean that I do!!

Good eve, vi's~~ A nice quiet day here... we had nothing on the calendar! That happens about only once or twice a month, so I really enjoy it. I hung out, then napped, and am now doing a bit of work. It's supposed to snow tonight & tomorrow! There was a dusting on the ground this a.m. WTH? The kids already have a scheduled 4-hour late start to school tomorrow as it is "Spring" teacher-parent conference day so teachers work 'til 8pm w/conferences... so we'll have to see what happens. Just when we thought Winter was over, too... Enjoy the eve...

Good Eve, Dearies... Busy day, lots of errands today... just finished up dinner & are about to leave to go to "Dessert Theatre" @ the HS... it's supposed to be very funny & several of ds's friends are in it... a nice way to spend the eve... It's supposed to snow tomorrow! :wink: I told you that dd is in the HS production of "The Wiz". Well, now ds is playing alto & bari sax in the pit for it! My kids, the thespians! That's all for now... have a nice night & "see" you all tomorrow!

Hey gals, Thanks for the "atta girls" re: the cleaning... it's not that I didn't take your all's advice, Terri, it's that I'm phasing it in! I decided that I had to try to help them, and as I told them yesterday, they have to try to keep what I/we do maintained, and that if they do, then I'll keep coming, but if they don't, well, then, I'll know I did my best & can let them be without guilt on my part. Does that make sense? But the phasing in part is, that I keep planting the seeds of thought of how THEY can maintain, such as to hire someone to come in just for bathrooms, the kitchen, & changing sheets (I've never been in the bathroom & I don't think I want to!). So we'll see how it goes. BUT... the sweetest thing happened last night... I check the phone voicemail & there's a call from the son & he says, "This is ___. Thank you." That's why I'm doing it. The uncle... is the wife's brother. How to describe him??... he's quirky, w/his own medical issues (heart, diabetes)... he doesn't work (disability)... he's a big guy... he lived w/their Mom 'til she died last Sept... so then when the wife died, he moved in w/them to help w/the son. The dad works in Va. + goes to school so is often away for long stretches of time, so the uncle does what needs to be done, feeds him, takes him to activities, etc. He's shy... it took awhile to warm up to him (cuz' at first I thought he was just odd)... but then I saw and appreciated how much he cares about the son and how much he's helping in his own way, and now we're pals. Once I went there and I said, "Can I give you a hug?" and he said, "That's my new life philosphy. Accept hugs when offered." So I did. It should be "interesting" working w/him on the kitchen! He can't do heavy stuff, like bending down or heavy lifting, but I'm confident he can maintain the place a little bit each day if he tried. Last item... I'm dancing on the edge of sickness, darn it! Head/throat/eyes... feels like strep?? Ugh. Put myself to bed @ 6 last night after snapping at the famliy... ... that's not me. Long night of bad sleep... hope today is better. Judy, am excited for you!

Hey girls... lunchtime check-in... glad to see you all are so chatty today! I am pooped! I just got back from helping my widower neighbor/friend clean. I was there from 10-12:45. We did make a dent. A dent. He helped. It's still a horrendous mess in 98% of the place, but when you walk in, the eating area of the kitchen + floor of kitchen + little bit of the floor going into the family room is CLEAR & VACUUMED! When I left, the kitchen table had a fresh green & white tablecloth on it w/a Juicy Orange Yankee Candle burning in the center of it, w/3 empty chairs pushed under it. The uncle kept saying how much the son was going to like it when he gets home from school, and really, that's who I'm doing this for! So I suggested a nice family dinner @ the table tonight & I think they may do it! So I feel good. The uncle & I also got "permission" for me to go there during the week & help the uncle organize the kitchen, so I will arrange that with him. I told them that I was happy to keep coming for snippets of time as long as I saw that they were attempting to keep it maintained... so we'll see. Honestly, part of me wants to cry now, for the horror of it, but mostly I feel good that I'm helping folks who need it. TTYL...

Good Morn, Girlies~~ Another busy day! Besides the usual I'm taking dd BACK to the doc for a spirometry test for her asthma/breathing/coughing thing that's been going on for 2 months now (grrrrr... wish they'd figure it out!), then am helping w/ Book Fair set up @ Noon (at least I'm not in charge of it anymore... helping is much easier than RUNNING it!), then loads of work & maybe we'll go out to dinner tonight @ a chili / pool table place called "Hard Times Cafe" because they have FREE chili night tonight for everyone w/a purchase of anything... it's National Chili Day or something like that... so that fits my budget and sounds fun! Make it a great one, sweethearts!

Now yer acting more like my brain fart!! Awwww, I'm just joshin' w/you!! (& you said "fart"!! )
