Hello girlies... lunch time check-in... just enjoyed a boca burger sans bun & some fresh pineapple... mmm... After a morning of errands & coffee, this aft I SHOULD work but visions of a nap keep taunting me... which will win?... work or nap?... really, it doesn't take a nuclear physicist to figure out this one! lol!! I predict that the minute dh & ds hit the road (2pm), I'll hit the couch! :thumbup: Enjoy your afternoons! PAM -- we need tat pics!!

Oh! One more thing! I had a dream about us right before I woke up. When I woke up it was so clear... now it's fading fast... we were all together and Judy brought her whole family w/her & they were all staying in an apartment in the basement of the house and the rest of us were upstairs and drinking & having fun and Judy kept trying to take a shower so she could get ready to come out w/us but she had to keep doing things for the family so I don't think she ever got ready and then a photographer came and was doing a photo shoot of us and THEN we went to a market and someone (don't know who) kept saying we needed a real coconut for the pina coladas so we were searching & searching... & there was some liquor in a violet bottle that said "w/Splenda" on it so we bought that... i don't remember much more... it was funny & scattered... sort of like it really was in TX... a couple of us would be ready at a time but it was like herding cats to get us all ready at the same time! :thumbup:

Good Friday Morn, My Vi's~~ A regular day today, but w/a coffee break w/my friend in the middle for a nice way to end the week! Then dh & ds leave for Richmond, Va, for the weekend (soccer tournament, 'natch) so it'll be just me & the girls. I think we'll be seeing the Jo Bros movie tonight + dinner out afterward... then just regular activities (the barn & horses mostly) all weekend. I never heard back from that flouro-scheduler gal, & even after I spoke w/her and she said that she had some spots left for today and that I shouldn't worry if she didn't call me on Weds, that she had my file on her desk & would call me... then she never did call. Ack. It sounds like they only do these on Fridays, so there's at least another week to wait... Off to shower & get going! I have to wrap XMAS GIFTS to send down to dh's bro & family (that's where dh & ds are staying), as we never did exchange them during the "traditional" timeframe! lol! Enjoy your day!

I can NOT fall asleep w/o TV. I set it for 30 min, and MAKE MYSELF listen to the TV. My mind will start to wander, but I lay there, close my eyes, and focus on what the TV is saying...lol! This is me EXACTLY!! It drives dh crazy, he doesn't understand at all, but I have to be able to listen to something else so I can drown out the sound of my own thoughts bouncing around in my head! Last night I woke up @ 2:30am and it took ages to get back to sleep... between the high winds (& worry of more trees falling), dh snoring, Mo sleeping on my head, etc., I was a mess. Bleh. For me, it usually goes in cycles or when I especially stressed about something...

Good Thurs Morn, Vi's~~ Nothing much to report... will be a regular work day here today... I hope that the flouro-fill scheduler calls today w/a time for TOMORROW... I need it & I need it BAD! Seriously, being able to eat only a few bites or sip some soup sounds like heaven to me... Make it a good one, girlies! Pam... what did your final diss date end up being?

Yeah, yeah... it's just that I'm so tiny & mild-mannered that it's easy to overlook me... yeah, that's it! Um, XL? Thank you in advance! I don't Twitter, Facebook or Myspace... seriously, I'm too busy living my life to document it moment by moment online... this thread right here is as close as I come to that! Ugh. Now I remember why I prefer to clean the house a little bit each day... this doing it all in one day is a CHORE! Phew! Have almost finished the downstairs & then it's upstairs... My neighbor's dryer broke in mid-dry so I've got her stuff taking a tumble here. Back to it! --

Just spoke w/the flouro-fill scheduler and she may be able to squeek me in on Friday!! :thumbup: Keep those fingers crossed!!

Good Weds Morn, Dearies~~ I completed a big editing job yesterday, so now today is Clean the House Day, as I've let things slide a bit while working so hard. So much for balance! Also, my friend (the one who's dd is in the treatment program in Utah) & her hubby are going out to see their dd, so their other dd is staying with us today - Monday... so I need to freshen up her room, super clean the kids' bathroom, etc. DS was funny... I told him I was changing the shower curtain liner cuz' she was coming and he said, "What -- the gross old one is ok for us?" Yep, guess so! lol! Isn't it funny what we do "extra" when "company" is coming? Make it a great day!

I am going through some kind of fix myself/destroy myself tug-o-war in my brain. You're in the right club for that, TracyK!! :biggrin:

Well so far so good! I've already received an e-mail back from the "Bariatric Patient Liaison" that she forwarded my e-mail to the PA and the flouro-fill scheduler. Could it be that this will be easier than I thought?? Laura... I feel for all your pain, I really do. I've been having right hip and left sciatic nerve/back pain for about the past month or more... intermittantly... but at night it can be horrible and I sometimes wake up crying out in extreme pain after moving in my sleep... ow ow ow! So I feel ya, sista! But I don't have the "reason" of being pg. My kids have started calling it my "old lady hip" when it acts up during the day & I limp... see what loving kindness you have to look forward to when Carson is older?? LOL!! :biggrin: But my "self-diagnosis" is that it's the weight I've put back on & that it'll go away once I get back on track AND STAY THERE. Seriously, visiting the track for a day or two just does not count! Ugh. I'm in a "I suck" mood today. Bleh. Add to that that I get to go to Middle School Orientation for dd tonight... waaa waaa. How is it that she's going into MS already??? My baby!!!

Ok, just bit the bullet (after biting, chewing, and swallowing everything else around here!) and called AND e-mailed my surgeon's office about getting another order for a flouro fill. I've been putting off doing that because I know it's going to be a whole big thing... telephone tag... back & forth... blah dee blah... but I NEED IT so I did it. The first attempt. Cross your fingers that it's not going to be as complicated as I think it is going to be.

I sometimes have those thoughts, but they are fleeting because then I remember all the other physical problems & I love my band all the more. Good eve, Vi's~~ Wow am I tired. DD & I did our part to help the economy today!! She made out like a bandit. Everything she tried on fit, which usually doesn't happen... so I bought it all! She kept calling it a "spree" & I guess it was!! She's set for spring & summer -- even purchased a bathing suit!! I am so tired... I think it's that getting up so early this a.m. That + I'm hemmoraghing like crazy today!! Lovely. Sorry. TMI. But there you go. Am trying to stay awake 'til dh gets home... but we'll see!!

Good Sunday Morn, Vi's~~ Ack! I'm up & dressed @ 5:40am, which yesterday morn would've been 4:40am !! Why? Oh, I'm sure you'll be surprised when I say: To take ds to a soccer event! HA! Of course it's a kid thing... I'd never get up like this for myself!! Happily, I don't have to actually GO to the soccer thing... am simply driving 30 mins each way to take ds to the Park 'N Ride to meet up w/other parents who ARE going & one of them will take him to the all-day training session @ a University 2 hrs away. He'll be back around 7pm tonight. But I still had to get up this early. The joke around here (& it's actually not a joke but the truth!) is that the only thing I wake up this early for is to go to Disney!! The rest of the day will be regular... cleaning, laundry and going to the Mall w/dd for some Spring clothes. DH returns late tonight. I hope each of you is still asleep!!! Make it a good one, Vi's!!

Anyone else find that "give feedback" thumb thingy in the corner annoying????? YES! I'll definitely let her know what the Violet Aunties are advising. Poor Kris... all these "Aunties" & their advice & she doesn't even know us!!! :thumbup: I looked at the resort too that Haydee is going to. Oh my... wouldn't that be a nice place for a Violet get together???? So that's a hand-raise, right?? :laugh: Ok... I am actually working this a.m.... but it's a boring chapter so I'm doing the ol' "edit 5 pages, check LBT" approach!! Will check back in 5 more!!

Hello from Panera! My cyber-office from home on these busy Saturday morns. Aahhh, a cup of coffee & well, I won't say what I'm eating, but it is lovely. Raise your hand if you think Haydee should organize next year's Vi trip to that resort!! :laugh: Oh, & Terri... depending on how old your 'frig is, it may make financial sense to get a new one... they say that the new ones are a lot more energy efficient & save $!

Good Saturday Morn, Vi's~~ Judy, I had both my kids via C-section and the "way" they came in to the world never bothered me... I know it does for some women... but I was just happy they were here safe, sound & healthy. I also had nursing issues/problems w/both of them... still not sure if it was me or them... most likely a combo!... but it did make me feel like a failure... especially in the first few weeks when my hormones were all cattywompus anyway... I saw bottle feeding as "failure"... but ultimately I came to realize that we do what we can and what we have to do and it's not right or wrong or success or failure and I was glad to be living at a time when the best-possible options are available for alternatives... but yeah, those lactation ladies sure can make a gal feel badly if she doesn't breast feed... Oh! one more observation... my sister (who has 4 kids) deduced that the 4th day after childbirth is the worst emotionally for the mom... & it has proven out every time since!! Isn't that today for Kris? So please tell her for me to just relax, breathe, take care of herself & Grady, & to not try to do anything or get stuff done or whatever... just snuggle & nap & eat food that others prepare! Because soon enough she'll be having a day like mine!! -- leaving the house by 9am and running hither, thither, & yon all day & not getting home 'til 7pm!! Kids & their activities!! Ay yai yai!! Good Friday Morn, My Lovelies~~ I zipped out of here early & I didn't get a chance to log on!! Now that's just not right!! Another busy day... last day of Book Fair + kids' activities later on... I feel like a ping pong ball just bouncing back & forth! Haydee, you are taunting me w/talk of your vaca... sounds divine!... wish I could join you!!... I fantasize about vacas, but have been unable to swing one this winter... I think it makes the winter seem so much longer & colder w/out a break... I vow never again! Have a great day, everyone!!

Good Thursday Morn, Vi's~~ Does this week feel like it's dragging?? To me it feels like it should be Friday already. ugh. Another busy day... Book Fair week is always like that... I'm at school everyday for hours selling books & having fun w/the kids... I love BF & will miss it next year when dd is in Middle School. DH leaves for work travel today, so it'll be me & the kids thru Sun night. And guess what? We'll be busy! Ha! Bet you didn't see THAT one coming, huh?! Both kids have many activities this wkend. Tonight's also the PTA meeting, so I've got to prep for that. Honestly, I'm counting down the months (2.5) left until THAT commitment is over. That's one decision that I should've re-thunk... I already WAS the Prez for 2 years previously, I shouldn't have caved so easily when they wanted me to do it again... oh well, live & learn. Off to hit the shower... make it a great day, everyone!
