  1. Wow! Just wow! That child should have been taken away from his parents, period. It is child abuse to over feed your child. It isn't cute, or funny! This is just sad sad sad! That poor child is a victim!
  2. I just turned 37 last week, but I feel like I am 22 again! Lol.....I made sure to drink water as often as I could, and it has helped me tremendously! I have no problem walking around in a sleeveless shirt, and short shorts! Hehe....my daughters friends ( that are guys and are 18) told her I was a milf! Oh my god, was I embarrassed when she told me that! Hehe
  3. I didn't lose anything my second month out from surgery. I hit that dreaded 3 week stall. It lasted a few weeks, and then I began loosing again. Even after that though I only lost an average of 10 pounds a month. Keep your spirits up though, a loss is still a loss, and all of those little losses add up pretty quickly. It is also better for your skin to lose slowly, it gives your skin the chance to shrink up with you, instead of being wobbly. Losing slowly also helped me with hair loss. I only lost a little hair because my body wasn't put into such a shock mode. Good luck girl! You will get there soon enough!
  4. You can try a mild flavor of Gatorade. Hope you feel better soon!
  5. I would give a call to the surgeon. After two weeks you should not be having pain like this at all. Just be cautious, and call. Better safe then sorry! Hope everything is ok!
  6. Would love to have an update on if you talked with him,or made a decision. I also wanted to say one more thing. In a true relationship things should be equal, that includes decision making, bill paying, or if one works and the other stays at home then that person staying at home should contribute in other ways, such as taking care of the household. If there is a lack of balance in a relationship, then it truly will end up destroying itself, or having one party very unhappy. I have been married for 19 years as of tomorrow, and this is how our relationship works so well. We approach everything equally. Communication and collaboration.....we joke about us being tag team partners in life. I sure hope that if this relationship doesn't work out that you are able to find a man who treats you right, and contributes to your life, not one that mootches off of you! Good luck girl!
  7. Yes they sure do! Keep at it! You are almost there. I thought that I would never be able to get to my goal, and then I did! I also thought I would never be able to afford plastics, and then a miracle happened and my husband got a bonus from work that was exactly the amount of money I needed to get plastics, and he is so wonderful that he didn't even think twice about making my dreams come true! It's also a bonus for him, he just said he was giving me my 20 year tune up! Lol I realized yesterday that while I feel fantastic, I still need to take it easy or I get really worn out, and soar. I also made the mistake of not wearing my binder for way to long, and my tummy let me know it. So when anyone does finally get their tummy tucks, please make sure to follow the doctors instructions and wear that binder. The skin still isn't attached to your abdominal wall and so you need the binder in place to hold it there so that the inside can re attach. I will keep updating for everything, and I am so in countdown mode for my new boobies! I will of course post pictures of those ( I will be putting little stickers over the important parts of course! Sorry boys! Hehe). Life is so good! Keep working it prettyfatchic ( you're going to have to change that name pretty soon to prettyskinnychic!) I hope all your goals and dreams come true too!
  8. Ok, posting a picture of my actual scar. It looks gruesome but it doesn't hurt. I found out today that I need to take it easier though. I got really sore from over doing it.
  9. I do have one drain left, I just tucked it in my panties. I hope yours goes that great too! You must be totally excited and on count down mode! Two weeks left! I was hoping I would have less stretch marks then I do, but when I was pregnant with my son he decided to park his butt all the way up under my boobs, so I had stretch marks all the way up. I can't wait till I am all cleared to start toning up! My goal is to have some beautiful muscles under there that will make those stretch marks fade away, and nobody will notice them...hehe. I am thrilled at this point. This has been my dream for years, and my dream finally came true!
  10. I feel completely normal now. No pain meds or anything required. The portion of my belly from the new belly button down to my pubic hair is completely numb. It is freaky. The doctor says this is normal, and will eventually go away. I sure hope so! Going to add another picture to my gallery of my progress.
  11. My tummy tuck cost $7500. There are surgeons that do it cheaper, but I would be cautious of who you chose.
  12. Before surgery I ran on a 33 day cycle. But it could be a little sporadic at times, due to my extreme weight. Since surgery my period is like clock work. I can count out the days to when I am going to start. It makes my life a little easier being able to plan things in advance and to not have to worry about auntie flow showing up unannounced. Lol good luck!
  13. Yes, it is possible to do so. You will need about 400-500 more calories a day to support you milk supple, so that it doesn't take away from your body. Just make sure you are including good calories, make them all count, as well as upping your protein intake. Eat lots of fruit and veggies too. One of my closest friends had the gastric bypass, and then got pregnant. She was able to do it as long as she was eating the right kinds of food. It is also very important to take your vitamins every day, and make sure that it has frolic acid in it, as it helps prevent Nero tube defects.good luck! And congrats!
  14. That is truly wonderful! I remember when I reached my goal weight...I just couldn't believe it!
  15. I agree, at first it sucks, and I even envied them a little bit because they got to enjoy and I couldn't. But after a while I started liking it again. After about 8 months I enjoyed it even more because I could have some of my cooking as well. All of my family ended up losing weight with me, ( not that they were over weight to begin with) because I would make the receipts with healthier ingredients.....they never even noticed the difference, but my husband and son benefitted the most because both of their guts went away. They still don't know why...lol
  16. Mine is cherry flavored hard candies. I can't seem to get enough of them! Thankfully there are some options out there that are sugar free! I am answering this thread with one in my mouth as I type! Haha!
  17. (Dang it, I was trying to fit that word and it posted instead..lol) Benefit of the doubt, let him try to see things your way, and see if he is willing to change. If he isn't then I would kick his butt to the curb girl! Good luck!
  18. Sounds like he enjoyed having someone being dependent on him emotionally, so that she wouldn't really care that he is taking advantage of you financially. What he is doing I wouldn't call love at all. If something doesn't feel right to you, then I would go with your gut instinct on this one. Especially if you don't believe that you even love him anymore. My husband used to sabotage my diets all of the time. He would order pizza, bring home fast food, ice cream, candy, every time I would try to start a new diet. I finally had a sit down with him and asked him if there was some reason why he would do these things when he knew I was trying to get healthier. He had to recognize it in himself that he was worried that if I lost weight that other men might start being interested in me, and then I would leave him. Once we had that talk he got on board, and changed his ways. He even started helping me with my exercise. I would try having a talk with him over it, give him the benifit
  19. That sounds like a good idea, but I think I solved my issues with it by bringing the tubes up under my binder, and then tucking each side into my bra. My boobs are big enough to hide them completely...lol Thank you for the tip though!
  20. I can get up and walk around very well. In fact walking doesn't hurt at all. Sitting down, and getting back up cause's a little sting, but not to bad. I did realize that I still need the pain medication, because I overslept one of my doses and I woke up about an hour and a half past the time I should have taken it and my incision site was burning, and felt really tight. I won't be waiting to long Inbetween doses anymore! The swelling is really going down. I can't believe how fast it has come along! I can wait till Monday when the doc will remove at least one of the drains, if not both of them. The drains are the biggest pain in the butt. Like I said, I will keep posting updates, and progress pictures!
  21. I am now 5 days post op. feeling pretty good now. I am able to move around just fine. If I forget to take a pain pill the incision site feels like it is burning, and really tight. It keeps getting easier every day though. Still loving my results! Will post more pictures of the scar once the doc removes the surgical tape.
  22. I cut mine into a short bob, and then layered it with highlights. It adds the appearance of volume to your hair. It does grow back, and it will stop falling out soon enough. good luck!
  23. The pre op diet was the hardest part of the whole journey for me. I was one cranky woman! It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel while you are in the middle of it, but it will come and go....and you will be shocked at how fast everything goes by. Good luck!
  24. The real bad sounds went away after a month for me. However I am more then two years out now, and my tummy can still make some loud noises. Usually happens when I haven't eaten in a while, and then drink water instead of feeding it. It doesn't really bother me anymore....but it can be embarrassing when other people hear it. I just blame it on not eating for to long. Lol
  25. I was lactose intolerant after surgery for a couple of months. If you aren't then there really isn't a reason not to have it. Enjoy!
