  1. Just take it slow on introducing new foods in. Make sure to chew a lot and take a long time to eat. I skipped the purée stage too....but I learned really fast that I needed to slow down my eating. Good luck!
  2. I am 2 years and 2 months post op and listening to my tummy gurgle right now. It isn't so loud anymore, but yeah it still is way louder then pre op ever was. People just think I am always hungry, and that I am starving myself! Lol you do need to go slow on the eating/drinking. It takes a while to learn your new tummy. If you eat to much, or drink to much to fast you are going to have pain. Good luck!
  3. You both look great! Congratulations on your success!
  4. My anxiety over social situations in a way has gotten better. I no longer constantly worry about what others think of me....however I felt more comfortable in dangerous situations when I was bigger because nobody wanted to mess with me. So I think it is a draw. I hope it gets better for you!
  5. Everyone loses differently. Try not to compare yourself to others. FYI.... The slower you lose the better your skin does! Drink as much water as you can as well! Good luck!
  6. I just did push ups and walked with weights....drank plenty of water and moisturized after baths. I have pictures of my arms in my gallery. I did require a tummy tuck...however I would have needed that because of my kids. I am also getting a breast lift with implants in two more weeks! Good luck to you!

  8. I am just now starting to realize my real size now. For the longest time I would automatically go to the plus size section. I finally see the skinny girl looking back in the mirror. I like it!

  10. Vent away! It sounds like you have good reason to be upset! Especially with your surgeon. I hate it when the doctor won't follow up with his patients, and acts like his job is done once the surgery is over. My last surgeon actually gave me his home phone number to call if I had ANY problems! I was freaking shocked! It will get better and easier....for some people it just takes more time. I hope that there is nothing serious, I hope you get your answers today! I am sorry it has been so rough for you! good luck! ((((Hugs))))
  11. You look great! I am so happy for you! The scar line is very even too! That was one of the things that I worried about most with mine.
  12. Yeah. You can take it off every couple of hours so you can get some good deep breaths in. That's when I took mine.
  13. Mag citrate for this situation....then after that you can take the dss (collace). I agree with recycled stool softener's are to late once you are all backed up. Make sure to take with at least 8 ounces of water...if you still have trouble getting fluids down, take a sip of each every couple of minutes until they are both gone. Good luck!
  14. I started being able to stand up straight about day 3....where it didn't hurt but felt tight, however the doc said to keep walking that way till I saw him again on day 6 post op. so it gives your skin time to stretch out naturally instead of being pulled out. Any pictures yet?
  15. Yes under my picture there is a blue script writing that says view my profile. Once you are in my profile go to gallery. You should be able to see from there! good luck!
  16. You might have to be. I didn't restrict access to them. I hope you can see them!
  17. I just came on here to send you a message asking how you are feeling? My surgeon said to wear it for 3 weeks, then after you can wear your own kind if you have them. Not sure if men wear shape wear or not. Lol I sure hope you are feeling ok!
  18. My recovery is going very well. I am hardly sore at all anymore, and if I am then a Tylenol is plenty to help with the pain. Swelling comes and goes. I am terrible about wearing my binder. I really need to work on that. I am on countdown mode till the girls are fixed! 21 more days to go!
  19. From death do us part to until its no longer convenient for us. That is what the new marriage vows should be. No it won't work out for you, because if you are asking that question, then you don't want it to work out. If you did, then not working it out wouldn't be an option. Unfortunately marriage just doesn't mean the same thing anymore. Not trying to be mean here, just truthful. Here is food for thought though, if you decided to change your diet, and your exercise habits.....get healthy, and lets say....one of your kids was overweight, still living at home, and refused to get on board, would that still work out? Butterthebean.....you are awesome!
  20. I wouldn't know about that one...been married for 19 years...lol I do know if you feel good about yourself then they feel good about it too!
  21. I would still take a pregnancy test....just to be sure.
  22. Wow! Omg! I am so sorry you had that happened! I guess I will count myself as lucky! I am so happy you recovered from that! That is so scary. One more surgery for me to go through...hope nothing like that happens! You are a guy, so I guess you don't have to worry about the boob surgery....unless you are planning on that too...which if you are, that is cool. I wish for the best for you!
  23. Did you have them before surgery? Is there any way you could be pregnant? If you didn't have pre surgery, then you will probably start having them again soon....and if you did have them pre surgery, and there is any way that you could be pregnant....I would get checked ASAP! Surgery didn't stop my monthly, it only made it more regular. Good luck!
  24. Eat until you are satisfied.....don't ever force anymore then is comfortable or you will be throwing it up anyways. Everyone is different. Everyone will fit different amounts at different stages, and be able to tolerate different foods as well. There is no normal, but what works for you. Good luck!
  25. Why did you have to have a drain in so long? If you don't mind me asking. I got 2 drains with my tuck, one was removed day 6 and the second was removed day 13. Did you just have a lot of fluid drainage?
