  1. My doc said a loss of 1-2 lbs per week for the first year is very good. When I hit a plateau recently I tried carb cycling and lost a few lbs that week. I guess the change of routine has been helpful to me Good luck
  2. Thank you SO much for your continued support/advice/recommendations!! You have no clue how much I appreciate it, it has helped me so greatly. I think I got it, for the low carb days, we go high on fat For the high carb days we go low on fat
  3. Just finished logging in for today and I had 1195 calories 129g of carbs 51g of fat 70g of protein Hope i'm doin ok... I felt like I ate like a cow today
  4. Basically it's about this guy who weighs 315 lbs.... I would say more but I don't wanna spoil it!!
  5. Yeah it's great!! And i'm VERY picky with movies. It's rare that I really like a movie!!
  6. I also can't stand that my day revolves around the gym, so I have started going really early (anywhere from 6-8AM) and I "get it out of the way". Once i know I hit the gym, I don't think about it again. Also, it helps me start my day right with a burst of energy. I was never a morning person, but I have recently been going to sleep no later then 10pm. I wake up feeling refreshed for the gym. Its a new routine/lifestyle but i'm feeling good about it
  7. Awww thanks!!! Hugs right back atcha!! Can't wait to hear about your losses when you get on the scale!
  8. How awful!! I'm sorry about your experience!! Tell your surgeon...!! Also, maybe try switching up your routine. Example: if you usually use certain machines at the gym, try out others. Or if u usually have 3 meals try having 5 small meals etc. Sometimes when we change out routine a little bit, our bodies snap back into weight loss mode, and stop plateauing. I am currently carb cycling and am so far (knock on wood!!) out of my plateau and am losing. This may work for you, too
  9. My doc has absolutely no issues with carbonated drinks. Since being banded I have tried to cut out soda whenever I can. Soda makes me feel burpier than i used to feel after drinking it, but no bad reactions to it other than that.
  10. I have a 14 cc band and am filled 4.2 cc's Not at the green zone yet, but feel very very close!
  11. Haha i'm not brave for getting on the scale- it just shows I have no self control- I'm only supposed to weigh myself 1x per week, and I wind up checking my weight 2x per day. Terrible, I know. All this scale talk reminds me of a joke: A guy forgets his wife's bday so she gets all huffy and says "we're through unless tomorrow morning there is something in the driveway that goes 0-180 in 7.2 seconds"!! (obviously she meant a sports car) The next morning she looks out the window and see's a small box in the driveway with a bow. She unwraps it and lo and behold: It's a scale!!
  12. i was browsing through the free amazon prime instant videos and came across this movie. it was so amazing!!! anyone else here sen it??
  13. Just finished logging my foods for today, day #3, low carb day: 800 calories 30g of carbs 45g of fat 75g of protein Hope I did ok for today! Thanks Again Missy for this diet idea, i think it's really working!!
  14. I can't stomach protein shakes, but protein in general does fill me up. As a snack/breakfast I eat lowfat string cheese. It's only 60 calories and has 15g of protein=very satisfying for me!! In the mornings sometimes i'll have 2 at a time
  15. Same here!! I'm down like 31 lbs and same size as before except some things are a drop big. Frustrating, I know, but patience is key!!
  16. Ah, thanks! looks like today I had 45g of fat today and 8grams came from that clif bar. What a mistake to eat it!!
  17. Cool pie chart! And awesome breakdown of fat percentages! Does this come with the lose it app?
  18. I'm sorry if that came off mean!! That wasn't my intent!! Promise!!! I know all too well about how much plateau's can be discouraging but just try to remember how far you've come. Also there is a great thread about carb cycling on here. People have reported success in breaking out of their plateau by doing this. Good luck!
  19. Sorry for the dumb question, but percentage of what??
  20. you lost 28 lbs in two months and your frustrated?? Did your doc tell you that a plateau (which may suck) is a NORMAL part of losing weight??
