  1. 1) either you are over filled and you should call your doc asap for an unfill 2) or you are not eating like a bandster should. Don't worry you are not alone. Many of us have struggled in the beginning, so here are some tips 1) weigh your food and don't eat more than a cupfull per meal (or whatever amount your doc advises) 2) from now on only eat on small plates-that way it wont by feel like your eating tiny portions that don't even fill up a plate 3) until you're used to eating like a bandster do not eat with friends or while your otherwise distracted (like watching tv or doing work) This will help keep you focused on chewing and taking small bites 4) just relax!! It will take some time in the beginning to learn what you can and cannot tolerate
  2. I think you'll feel better in another few weeks of routinely exercising
  3. It's weird for me, sometimes I fee in exhausted and sometimes I feel really energized. Usually if I'm tired a cool shower helps wake me Are you just starting your gym routine? Because maybe once you get used to it you'll stop feeling so exhausted
  4. The best advice I can give you besides for what Missy and Chez have said is to remember that the band is not MAGIC Many uneducated people think that it's a miracle cure for obesity Is it useful? Sure Helpful? You bet! But it's certainly not magical
  5. I totally understand where you're coming from. I have had a really tough past 3 weeks and havn't lost an ounce. It's beyond frustrating!
  6. Wow! Glad you found a surgeon this supportive!
  7. Wow I can't wait to be in a place where I forget to eat! Not at the green zone yet
  8. Missy, I couldn't have said it better myself If I eat slowly enough and stop when i'm satisfied I don't run into problems. For instance, just this week I tried out a new place with a freind and got a beef sandwich. I am trying to carb cycle and was on a low carb day. I ate the sliced beef without the bread and had a small amount of the cole slaw on the side. I had no issues pushing away the bread. If I would've tried to eat it I doubt it would have went down easily. I did not feel deprived or unsatisfied
  9. Your losing rate at a fine pace, although I totally understand why it feels like its coming off slowly. I have lost 50 lbs in 6 months and it seems like SO LITTLE! But truthfully, it really to helps to look back at how far you've come rather than looking ahead at how far you are from your goal
  10. I have not, and do not intend to tell anyone out of my immediate family Not because I'm ashamed, but because most people don't understand even the basics of the lap bad surgery, or how hard it is to diet + be obese
  11. People can be SO RUDE I'm sorry you have to deal with these questions Some of my family members used to ask me multiple times daily how I was doing/how much weight I was losing. After A while I snapped and told them that when I have success's to report i'll let them know. until then leave me alone! I stayed true to my word and when the scale moves I let them know... In the meantime they don't bother me
  12. Yah, I don't think I have ever done anything more awkward in my life... I was super nice about it... but I still feel like a skunk
  13. looking good! And wow how did you avoid having loose skin?? You look fab!
  14. Good luck on your decision! Let us know how it goes!
  15. Have you been losing weight? Maybe if you ost some weight, you also lost some fat padding around your esophagus and now your band loosened.
  16. so i told her... She was absolutely stunned by the revelation She said she was grateful and honestly didn't have a clue Now let's see if she'll still want to be friends with me.... Was supremely uncomfortable, but I'm glad i did...
  17. You are not alone! I have lost 50 lbs and have been banded for 5+ months and STILL worry if I will be a failure or not Will I reach my goal? Will I keep the weight off? Will I lose track of my exercise regime? I worry all the time
  18. Nope I never had to crush pills
  19. Yep, the elliptical burns a lot more calories than the treadmill! I usually burn 400-500 calories in a shot Feels awesome!
  20. UGH! I can totally relate to how you feel! The 6 month diet absolute made me NUTS! Just try taking it one day at a time and use this time to educate yourself even more. Come hang out on here and chill with us
