  1. All doctors have an emergency number. Don't wait, call now!
  2. Call the doctor... there is always an emergency number!
  3. I suspect you are fine. You want 60-80 grams of protein daily but the rest of the liquids just flow through, so to speak!
  4. Can't help with crunchy, but chicken broth may satisfy the salt craving.
  5. Good thoughts AJ... been there and doing that now. I would still like to lose about 8-10 more pounds, but I have been where I am now for 5 months. Guess that's what the body likes! Good luck in maintenance. You have all the tools!
  6. Dieing is doubtful. Just follow docs orders and you will do fine. Don't worry, it does you no good and only tends to add stress you don't need right now!
  7. Check around for non lactose content protein shakes and powders.
  8. This is an insurance requirement for many companies. From what I can tell, they just want you to be on a doctor supervised diet. It does not seem to matter whether you gain a or lose. On the pre-op diet be loyal to the instructions since that is aimed at shrinking your liver so it won't be in the way for surgery. Hope this helps.
  9. mORE AND MORE FILLS ARE NOT THE ANSWER. iT HAS TO DO WITH WHAT WE EAT!
  10. Also try Nashua nutrition, they sell sample servings of lots of flavors. My fave is peanut butter ookie! Two scoops will also work! I use a blender to mix mine and frequently add Greek yogurt of the appropriate flavor to the mix!.
  11. It is a forever thing... toughest habit I ever had to break, not washing my food down. Try drinking a large glass of water before the mean. The liguid flushed food out of the stoma above the band so fast it sdoes not have time to help you feel the full sensations.
  12. Could just be a slight tummy bug. I like you plan though!
  13. Great success. Keep up the good work and you will soon look even more fabulous than you already do!
  14. Glad you liked the almond milk. And thanks for the reminder about walking... I need to do more!
  15. Cold food=business as usual with lap band.
  16. Congrats CG! That is awesome! But never ever give up pedicures!
  17. Live and learn! Add that to you don't list!
  18. Tough on non solids... I took shakes with me to drink while my dinner partner ate. They never minded.
  19. Are you also constipated, that can sometimes show up as more gas. I also seem to have more, but I am always constipated unless a eat fresh peaches every day. Tough to do in the late fall and winter!
  20. Congratulations to both of you! Great feeling and great success!
  21. So sorry to hear about the second surgery. We wish you well, and continued success afterward. Bummer!
