  4. Hi Shannon, I went to Jerusalem Hospital on October 14, 2010 and had my sleeve surgery with Dr. Ponce de Leon. My husband went with me and we were both treated well. It was different going to a strip mall to have surgery but I was never nervous or scared. The facility was very clean and everyone was professional. They fed and had a place for my husband to sleep when we were there. It all was included in the price. I used Christi at Successfully Slimmer as my coordinator. The recovery house was just fine. They were there to give you what you needed to make you comfortable. All in all it was a great experience and I love to tell my story to my friends and family. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask me. Good Luck! Terri
  5. Great job Kemo!! You show us that it can be done. I can't wait...72 more to get to 100 lost.
  6. Hang in there! It was one of the hardest things I have ever done but I did it and am so glad I didn't "cheat". My surgery went really smooth with NO problems at all. It was so worth it. All I can say is hang in there. YOU CAN DO IT!!
  7. Prayers for you ! Best of luck !
  8. I so know what you are talking about. I was sleeved on 10/14 and never had one problem but the pre and post op diets were just awful. But like everything, it will pass and before you know it you will be on regular foods and loving every minute of your sleeve. Hang in there !

It was torture for me too. I had surgery in Mexico and my husband and I stayed in San Diego for 4 days before surgery. There was a Mexican restaurant on every corner and it just about did me in. I would watch him eat while I sipped on chicken broth! But...I had my surgery and am now 7 weeks out and am soooo glad I did it !! Hang in there, you will get to eat "real food" soon, but just a little bit !
  10. I was sleeved on 10/14/11, down 25 lbs in 48 days !!

  12. I am 6 weeks out and the only kind of protein drink I have been able to drink is the EAS brand. I mixed them with milk at first because they were too sweet. Plus it gave me xtra protein too.
  13. Yayyyyy !!! Congrats !!!
  14. My daughter had the same thing happen to her....weird isn't it?
  15. I'm doing great. I have lost 19 lbs so far. I never had any pain or felt sick at all. I think I was one of the lucky ones. Do you have a date yet for your surgery? Are you using Dr. Ponce de Leon?
  16. I used Dr. Ponce de Leon at the Jerusalem Hospital. I had my sleeve done on Oct 14th and have had no trouble at all. Dr. Ponce was very professional and I was very satisfied with him.

  21. Hello! I was afraid of the flight back home too. I had to fly all the way to Ohio but it really wasn't as bad as I expected. I was very comfortable and had no pain at all. I did take a pill for nausea just in case. I just sipped on gatorade all the way and was just fine. I was really tired though. But that's it !! You will be ok
  22. Well, I did it !! Went to Mexico to have my surgery. I no problems what so ever, luckily everything went smooth. The Jerusalem Hospital was clean and the staff was very nice. The recovery house was a bit crowded but it was a good experience. They take care of you really well. I have zero pain and the only pain meds I have taken since leaving Mexico was some Tylenol for headache. I met some new friends there and wish them the best in their new lives! Yeaaaa
