  2. Benjamin called it...no grazing, I know it is hard but 3 meals a day with 2 snacks, that is all you should have. I still have hardly any carbs and I will be 16 weeks out on the 9th. Good luck, you can do this!!!
  3. Thanks everyone too for your replies!
  4. I gets better soon.. I promise. Just keep on getting the fluids in and walk as much as you can. You will feel better in no time. By next week you will feel like a new person.
  5. Right before they wheeled me in for the surgery I met him.
  6. Woo hoo! Great feeling isnt it? Keep up the fantastic work and those 4's are right around the corner!
  7. I was eating protein bars at 6 weeks, ask your Dr what they suggest.
  8. Hi Beanzilla, I have never heard of that. I know it is more of a risk with morbidly obese people just having the surgery but they do it all the time. If you get denied there, call another place. Best of luck to you, keep us posted ok?
  9. Congrats to you both!
  10. I was just told nsv means non-scale victory...I thought it meant new sleeve victory...sorry about that! Either way, it is a victory for me! I changed the post a bit!
  11. Good morning all! I just reached my next goal...into the 180's!!! I was 189 this am...yaaay me! Next goal is the 170's! Thanks again for all the support from everyone, it means a lot and has helped me tremendously with my journey.
  12. What a great idea...wish I lived closer! Let us know how it is.
  13. I know, it was a hour long class and I am sure I looked bad too but so did 3/4 of the class! I guess as long as we are doing it right? I cant wait to start losing again and I hope this works for me too! Thanks for the reply.
  14. I went to my first Zumba class tonight...what a blast! I totally felt like I had two left feet but cant wait for the next class! Hopefully this will kick the weight loss into high gear!
  15. I have no sensitivity with mine but scars are known to be that way for a long time on some people. I dont know about the hurting part, maybe call the doc and find out for sure what he thinks.
  16. I feel the same but I dont always burp, sometimes it is just a girgle. I have it all the time, I am used to it now. It is completely normal.
  17. Holding your hand...best of luck to you!
  18. I have the exact opposite problem, I cant get rid of them quick enough. I am now is a size 12 pant and L top and I just got rid of some more clothes, 14's and 16's and some old ones that were to the back of the closet. I dont ever want to fit in those again so I dont need them. I am going to donate them to the sleeve support group I go to.
  19. Yaaay, give her a hug for us! Congrats to you both!
  20. A 10 all the way, no issues whatsoever and doing great. Wouldnt change a thing! Well maybe the lack of wanting to exercise, I just cant get that going steady. Trying my first Zumba class tonight...wish me luck!
  21. OMG...I sooo feel you. I will be 16 weeks out on the 9th and I was at a stall for 2 weeks, just broke this am, lost a lb!!! Not much but it is in the right direction. It will break, I promise but the waiting does suck for sure. Good luck to you.
  22. Yes, I wasnt a real hot person to begin with but I was downright cold sometimes after surgery. My husband would come home and I would be in bed with sweats on...and I hate to sleep in clothes! I am much better now ( and the weather is changing) but I still sometimes get chilled easier than most.
  23. I am so sorry about all your issues. I am like everyone above, concentrate on your fluids, that is what is causing most of your issues I believe. I know it is hard but sip,sip,sip...all day. I had to force myself and it did work for me. Hang in there, you will get better soon and be loving your sleeve. Hugs to you!
  24. I'm with Gene on this one, start weaning yourself off your bad habits, soda , candy etc. I also started walking every night so I would be in a little better shape before surgery. I also read up on everything I could find about the surgery, read forums like this which were a godsend for me. Good luck!
  25. Yum....another cornbread recipe...thanks for sharing!
