  1. Have you spit up since the beginning? I was sleeved on the 12th and have not experienced that. I am only on liquids though.
  2. Wow.. glad it was caught in time! 32 pounds in 2 weeks?? Can you spell JEALOUS?
  3. I was sleeved on the 12th. I hate pain meds too. They make me nauseous! I haven't taken any since the afternoon after surgery. I rather just tough it out. I am not in much pain anymore. I just hate the stupid drain tube and will feel so much better once it is out. I, too, despise the Protein Shakes. I am having trouble getting in my protein and water. Yesterday was probably the worst day as far as energy. I was really weak. I haven't walked much and feel guilty about that. I have been getting up and doing things around the house though. I just don't trust walking outside when I am so weak. I have only walked outside once for ten minutes and I was SOOO light headed. I have decided that I am going to force myself to drink my protein shakes first today. I really need my strength back. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know you are not alone! I am feeling the same way. We will get thru this. ((hugs))
  4. We all seem to be having pretty much the same symptoms.... I guess we are pretty average which is kinda comforting.
  5. TY for your answers. Now I don't feel so nervous to add in a spoonful. I absolutely HATE my protein powder.
  6. My NUT told me not to drink thru a straw as well. They just described the full liquid diet as anything you would be able to drink thru one.
  7. Has anyone mixed in a bit of pb in their protein shake and blended until smooth during the full liquid diet phase? The only stipulation I was given during this phase is as long as I can drink it thru a straw (but don't drink thru straw) I can have it.
  8. I got sleeved on the 12th too. I did have to do the leak test w/ barium. I think you may have just had a spasm. I get a cramping/spasmy feeling w/ almost every drink I take. I am on full liquids right now and am allowed cream soups as well. I can't wait for the mushy/pureed stage. Only 12 more days. Have you weighed yourself yet? just curious to see how much you have lost since surgery. I have lost 6.8 pounds so far.
  9. I had my surgery last Tuesday. Today I am down 6.8 pounds. So I lost 6.8 pounds in 5 days.
  10. OMG.. a lanyard is genius! I thought that the little drain bag had to be lower than the opening in the skin.
  11. I was sleeved on 6/12 at St. Bernadines by Dr. Khran.
  12. You can buy magnesium at Walmart. It is like $2 something per bottle. If you take it, start out with 250 mg, if nothing, move to 500 mg. I wouldn't jump to 500 mg at first w/o working your way up because it can be explosive. It also helps with muscle cramps.
  13. Mine is 2 weeks! I want it out already
  14. The mineral Magnesium is great for helping you to go! It is cheap too. You don't have to buy the Milk of Magnesium for that.
  15. I had my sleeve done on the 12th. They said I was doing so well that I could leave on the 13th instead of staying the extra night they originally told me I had to. I opted not to leave due to the fact that I was nauseous and dizzy. My nausea finally stopped when I stopped giving myself the pain meds. I haven't had anything for pain since the afternoon after my surgery. I, too, am getting the wierd feelings after I sip. I agree w/ you that it feels like an extreme hunger pain. It is still happening 4 days out. I am not sure when it will go away. I also am having a lot of gas buildup. I know I need to walk more but I am afraid to leave the house and get dizzy when I am down the block. I have walked around my house though. I hope you are feeling better soon!
  16. This also helped kill the nasty smell of the PP.
  17. ok, i will let it dangle. I just don't want it to irritate my tummy and cause swelling.
  18. What do you do with your drainage bag when you shower? I am afraid to let it dangle.
  19. how did your surgery go? I had mine on the 12th too.. so far, so good. I do have slight pain when I swallow and it hits my tummy though.
  20. That is awesome! I have a fear that I won't lose anything.
  21. I like that~
  22. or maybe they meant for the liquid pre op diet?
